Nobody informed me about the program to made me healthy again. I was kept in the dark, and found out they planned to keep me for a month, even though the only reason I was there was to improve my legs. It felt like a prison, where you're kept in a confined space. My wife had to come and take me out of there covertly. That's why I said the policies and practices suck.

The deciding factor was simple but important: Rossmoor felt like a true medical care facility, while the other location felt more like a modern senior or retirement center. Given my father's condition, he needed real medical care--not just a nice environment--and Rossmoor clearly fit that need. From the very beginning, the level of service exceeded my expectations. Steve Stock, the General Manager, was outstanding. He gave me his mobile number and told me to text him anytime if something came up. That alone speaks volumes. I did my best not to reach out unless it was truly necessary, but whenever I did, he addressed every issue promptly and thoroughly. Not a single request was missed. I honestly don't know how he stays so organized, but he does--and it shows. One thing that really mattered to us was consistency with medications, and Rossmoor delivered. All medications were always administered correctly and on time, without exception. That level of reliability brought a lot of peace of mind. The food was also decent--better than expected for a medical facility--and whenever there was an opportunity to make things a little better or more comfortable, the staff consistently went the extra mile. The staff across the board were excellent. Every single person we interacted with was professional, kind, and clearly well trained. Special thanks to nurses Nadia, Carly, Roxanne, Marielle, and Gia--each one was outstanding and made a difficult time much easier for our family. The PT and OT staff were also fantastic--thank you Erica for your patience and care. Thanks to the laundry staff and the front desk team as well; their work doesn't go unnoticed. She was supposed to have a walker to help her with transitioning to bedside commode, the walker was either not in room or always in a place that made it hard for my mother to get to. Several time my mother had to call me to contact the front office to get someone to help her to the commode, due to call light not being answered. My mother was told by an LVN, your nurse is on break, so she would have to wait till her return for assistance to the bedside commode. I reached out to management many times, on one occasion, I was asked if I wanted my mother released, sent home with therapy, after complaining. The staff and management will smile in your face, promise to follow up, but there's no follow up! Horrible Horrible Horrible, and they call this place one of the nicest places for rehabilitation, what a joke!

It's a convenient location with ample off street parking. The facilities are clean, well lit and comfortable. I have worked with Shawn - who is fantastic. I also had Brenda for a session - also fantastic. Both - really listen and hear what's going on and give great advice. I am a recent cancer survivor trying to deal with major changes to my body after undergoing chemo, radiation and surgery that impacted my pelvis, hips, periformis. On top of this I already had lower back issues and was developing shoulder problems as well. I could not walk 10 minutes on a treadmill without pain. Over the course of the past few months I went from not being able to walk more than 10 minutes at a slow pace on the treadmill without pain to walking 3 miles in a little over an hour without pain. Shawn has helped with my neck issues and my lower back issues by looking at my body as a whole. With some massage, stretching and prescribing exercises he has helped me rebuild strength and balance.

Breaking my pelvis was no joke and very difficult for anybody especially the CNA's who attended me for all my needs and toiletries. There was always someone to help me and not leave me alone during my recovery. I found the food satisfactory and always delivered to our rooms on time. The rooms were cleaned every day by a very very efficient lady. She was also very entertaining. I stayed for six weeks and had three different roommates which the last one was very nice and we seem to have mutual understandings. I would recommend Moraga post acute care. The physical therapy sessions were seven days a week for me and the therapist were very thorough and supportive of me to walk again and have the equipment that I needed to support myself without falling. I have been in two rehabs in Nevada. The first after I had a stroke ending and left side deficits and the other for collapse vertebrae in my lumbar region, and neither of these facilities had daily cleaning Moraga post acute care made me feel very comfortable facility took cleaning very seriously .

They didn't give her medications for over 17 hours and left her in soiled underpants for 17 hours as well. She was supposed to be on a bipap machine during the night and the one they put on her was broken and spitting water in her face they said they would fix it and never did. Her oxygen dropped below 60 and they had to 911 her back to the hospital where she almost didn't make it. Not only is the building new and well-maintained, with private rooms and bathrooms for each patient, but the quality of care truly stands out. The Director of Nursing makes a point to round on patients regularly, remaining visible and available for questions, concerns, and feedback from both patients and staff. That leadership presence carries over to the frontline nurses, who consistently treat patients with empathy and compassion--qualities that can be lacking in many other SNFs. The food is also impressive. It may not be a five-star restaurant, but even as a family member, I found the meals enjoyable and something I wouldn't turn away. Like any facility, there are opportunities for improvement. Therapy services at times seemed to be provided at a minimal level, likely reflecting staffing and workload challenges--an issue I recognize is not unique to this SNF. That said, I'm grateful my family member was able to maximize her rehabilitation. Her extended stay following an acute stay helped build her endurance, and she received excellent nursing care before being discharged home. The dining hall isn't quite large enough with all the patients and wheel chairs. I wanted to get him up and an orderly helped right away and placed him in his wheelchair ( no easy task) He's now able to walk the length of the hall with assistance but shuffling along I intend to see him tomorrow.
