We've had a great experience at Go Beyond working with Joann the last 3 months. My thirteen year old was experiencing knee pain due to competitive sports. Joann helped us find the cause and work at strengthening specific muscles to take pressure off the knee, to eliminate the pain, and build muscle in specific areas to prevent it from coming back. We received comprehensive "homework exercises" at each visit that we were able to do between visits that were easy to follow. I have seen Korey Pieper 3 times for shoulder issues related to hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (h-EDS). I dislocated my left shoulder for the 6th time, which exacerbated elbow and shoulder pain I was having on the right from overuse. I found Korey to be extremely knowledgeable (generally, but also specifically about EDS), compassionate, and hands-on. Unlike most PTs, rather than giving me exercises she's spent most of the time doing manual manipulation, and I've had some relief from pain for the first time in months. I highly recommend, esp for anyone on the hypermobile spectrum! A rare find. read more

I don't know whether to blame the pandemic, poor posture, or just aging, but for a while there, I could barely lift myself out of bed without feeling like my ribcage was stabbing me. After months of chiropractics and massage therapy, I started wondering if pain was just going to be part of my everyday life. One day, a friend convinced me that I needed PT -- something I hadn't considered, thinking it was only for injuries or post-surgery. Wow, I had no idea what I was missing. This is 100% what I needed. Chiropractics and massage therapy help, but the results are short-lived. Ben is the shit. I live with a chronic condition, so I'll never "get better", but since working with Ben my quality of life has drastically improved. Let me start by saying that Joann, Brianna and Ben are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Everyday they are committed to their clients by being responsive, flexible and caring. I came in with tendinitis on my forearm along with a bad shoulder. Joann and Ben have set me up for success with therapy and work out plans to help me bounce back. After going to 3 different PT's, I was so lucky to find Ben and Korey at GoBeyond. They are both extremely professional and experienced. They listened to my needs and goals. They understood and worked with me to have a long term plan to address my injuries. I have been taking yoga for years and wanted to keep doing it but needed to tailor my yoga practice to accommodate my injuries. Ben has a regular yoga practice and was very knowledgeable in helping me with this. Korey also helped with using yoga therapy as well as using her magical hands to massage out deep knots and kinks that were blocking my progress. I'll add to the chorus of 5 star reviews for Go Beyond. I worked with Ben Stein for about 5 months following a double TKR (total knee replacement). I had a lot of difficulty with scar tissue buildup and muscle adjustments which limited my range of motion, and therefore my recovery. Ben did a thorough job of diagnosis and treatment, and really helped keep my recovery on track. In addition to the treatment, Ben took the time to teach me how my body's systems interacted in adjusting to my new knees. Beyond the obvious bone, muscle and tendon reactions, I learned how my body's lymphatic system joined in the campaign to ameliorate swelling and carry away scar tissue. Now, 7 months out of surgery and a couple of months out of PT, I'm back to hiking and biking and am happy with my progress. I highly recommend Ben and the clinic. read more

They "go beyond" to help patients achieve results to improve or resolve both acute and chronic issues! Each PT -- Dr. Korey Pieper, Joann Tippett, and Dr. Ben Stein -- assess and treat patients, then tailor their sessions per individual needs, modifying exercises as needed during each session. They also take detailed notes and progress updates. There are no PAs here so you're assured of receiving experienced treatment done well! The sessions are 45 minutes in duration (the initial consultation is 45 minutes to 60 minutes in duration.) Since each PT has a different focus, patients are able to utilize them as a team, either staying with one PT or transitioning to another PT within the practice. Ben Sten is my therapist and he is excellent. My injury was rotator cuff and he was able to localize the damaged area quickly and began therapy right away, A combination of therapy, exercises and education has proved very useful in rehabbing the shoulder. It is definitely getting better although not al that way. Another important aspect is education and setting expectations. Ben did an excellent job of explaining the nature of the injury, the muscles and connections between muscles in the rotator cuff and setting expectation on how much effort and time would be required to heal this, especially for an older nation like me (~70). Folks, Joann Tippit is the best physical therapist that I know of. In early January 2020 I came to her as I found Go Beyond on Yelp and it was in-network with my insurance, Blueshield. Probably after about 10 sessions or so I am getting real results. Initially I had Plantar Facitis on my right foot for a good 8+ months and it was really bothering me. I went to another MD/PT who was hardly any help. My PF turned into Peronial Tendonitis. Joann, using cupping and Graston techniques, has alleviated about 80% of the pain. She is extremely knowledgeable and focused and I am sending my wife to her for her back/shoulder pain. read more

I've worked with Korey for several years for my hyper mobility and multiple injuries. She is very skilled and listens to feedback if things aren't going well. Her training in Active Release Technique as well as Dynamic Neuro Stabilization is cutting edge and innovative. I've been going to GoBeyond PT for many years for various injuries and orthopedic problems and I can honestly say Ive never been disappointed with the therapists or the treatments received. The therapists always give me a home program however what stands out is that the home exercises are not given all at once, only 1-2 home exercises are assigned each therapy session therefore I've never felt overwhelmed with what I need to squeeze into my daily activities. I started physical therapy at Go Beyond with quite debilitating lower back pain five weeks ago and have made tremendous progress. Joann, my therapist, has been wonderful. She evaluated my situation, gave me exercises to stabilize my pelvis and achieve proper alignment, then strengthen the supporting muscles and now strengthening adjacent muscles. Each session she has upped the bar, but it has led to significant improvement. On the few days I was tired or in more pain, she toned down the exercises or given me a massage.
