Almost 3 months ago, my brother was contracted to drive a used cube van from Montreal to Edmonton for a a price of $1,550.00
The trip was completed in about 4 days, and to date, no money has been paid. The fuel bill alone was over $1400.00 plus other expenses
totalling another $500. During the trip a very small scratch was put on a ladies car while in Manitoba while stopping for something to eat.
Repairs were done to the ladies car, and still Darell (the owner at Workfleets) reufuses to pay my brother. Repairs were done on an insurance
claim. All thou Workfleets has insurance for this type of incident he would not use it.
What lousy business ethics at this company. Today, Aug. 7th, I am on my way to I C B C and run the VIN to see if there have been two
claims made on this minor incident. The total cost of repairs was estimated around $1200 which would be deducted from the original quote of $1,550
leaving my brother only $350 for a trip that took almost a week, and every day Gary Sweet at Workfleets kept calling my brother and putting the
pressure on to have this vehicle delivered before Saturday, an almost impossible task. My brother drove night and day to complete the trip with
no hotel stops, just sleeping in freezing cold in the cube van.
I would not recommend dealing with Workfleets. It is shabby way to do business. read more
