Ordered a parts from Abtec the part was not compatible with my item. The item cost $19.99. It cost me $10.00 to ship it back and they only credited me $9.99 BEWARE OF ORDERING FROM HERE....It took to long to receive my charge credit. I would give them a Zero rating if that was an option. read more

The day after placing my order, I received an email indicating that my order would be shipping, but no tracking number was given. After checking their website to see if I could find a tracking number for my order, I discovered that although the part I ordered was in stock, my order would not be shipping until Feb. 26th. Needless to say, I was definitely put off at the slow shipping of their orders, since I needed the replacement part quickly, and had I known at checkout that they couldn't ship it within 2-3 business days, I would have ordered from a different company. --------- Email from abtecparts on Feb 23rd indicating shipment: Thank you for your order. This order has now been forwarded to shipping for dispatch. As per your order confirmation we ship by mail. To find the status of your order at any time, go to the top of any Abtec Parts website page and click on the "Order Status" button. Most shipments arrive within 7 to 10 working days, but the Post Office asks for you to allow at least three weeks for delivery before contacting us. If not received after this period, please check the address on your order, check with your Post Office and then email us quoting your order number, last name or email address. --------- Today, Feb 29th, I emailed their customer service to see if they had a tracking number for my order or to cancel my order if it had not yet shipped, and here's their reply: ----- We're very sorry, but your order did not go out on Friday due to circumstances beyond our control. We have cancelled your order and voided the charge to your card. ----- As an online seller myself for several years, I am appalled that another business operates this way. I try to ship within 24 hours of an order being placed, and since I mostly ship through the USPS, I ship through the end of the day Saturday as well. If I am going on vacation or having a long weekend, I plan ahead of time by shipping some inventory to Amazon, so they can fulfill my orders. Then, I can close my shop and just respond to customer emails. A week of "circumstances beyond our control" is completely unacceptable, and abtecparts should strongly consider a different business model, since the current one isn't working. read more

Ordered parts from abtec and I get charged a USPS priority shipping rate calculated from Washington state warehouse. Then I find out the shipping takes 7 to 10 days; and an email that you must wait up to three weeks because the USPS may take that long to ship my parts. They say not to contact abtec or USPS until three weeks elapse. Wtf is this about? I would have ordered elsewhere if I knew about these deceptive tactics. I have yet to receive the part and 7 business days have passed. Btw they aren't even a member of BBB even though BBB is usually useless in disputes. No extra stars until I see reasonable results. By the way their online shipping status says part is shipped and you received an email. Wow like I didn't know this. I really hope I get my part, I really hope they actually have the part and its really shipped. The company sure appears to be a part broker with no clue as to the existence of an actual part. Update i finally got part. The company did overcharge me for shipping. The tracking updates are non existent. Good luck Yelpers. read more

I had very low expectations, based on my Chase credit card company's initial rejection/flagging of the charge, and how sketchy and brief and unofficial their email to me looked. I thought I was getting "phished" but for $12.50, I was desperate enough to get a working can opener, that I was willing to try. Sure enough, 11 days after the charge posted, the part arrived...amazingly, it's the correct part...all white and fresh, unlike my old electric opener. The cost of the Canada Post small packet is $7. so the cost of the part nets out to $5.49. They don't inspire confidence with their 20th century process...but they seem to exist..and it worked out for me. I'll give 4 stars because they could communicate better, considering they're in British Columbia and not the Ukraine...but it all worked out for me. Phew!! read more

I Ordered a $3 part and was charged $5 shipping and handling. The part was so small that it came in a business envelop (4.5 in x 9.5in) that cost .70 postage. Then I was charged another .20 by my AMEX because it was a foreign transaction. They are based out of Canada even though the company ships from the USA. I then had to waste time contacting AMEX to make sure that the foreign charge was not part of a scam because it was a separate fee on my statement. I did not know what company had charged me this fee. I will not buy from them again. read more

Beware! Ordered 2 packages (of 2 light bulbs each) for my wife's makeup table lighted mirror. About 2 weeks later we received a notice from the company that "they" were on holidays until the end of March. That would have been nice to know beforehand as we would have ordered them from a company that was more responsible with their customers. The good thing was that we did receive our order. read more

No complaints. Needed some parts for my lawnmower... Seemed to take a few days to process (ordered over the weekend) but received them in Langley in 2 days by Canada Post. Can't say if delivery service would be the same in the states, but North of the border, that was excellent. Definately seems like a small business operation, but hey -- support the little guy! I ordered a hard to get part for my mixer which is an older one. I thought I would end up scrapping my lovely mixer but thanks to abtec I now have my mixer back on track.It took a little while to recieve but was an acceptable amount of time and I have very happy with the service. I ordered a part from Abtec and the website never mentioned anything that it will 3 weeks to received at their store. When I tried calling they are either at meetings and have such a weird voice mail system that you cannot leave a message. It seems to be such a fraudulent company and may be a one man show. I wish I had checked the reviews about this company prior to ordering same. Companies of this nature should be banned from operating in Canada. read more
