A few months back I had my brakes and rotors replaced for less than $800. In terms of pricing,…read moreAutoplace is the most reliable and affordable car repair shop in Kelowna. Every other estimate I had received was over $1,200! All of the workers were incredibly helpful and time efficient. Just a couple of days ago, one of my headlights went out. I purchased the bulb and attempted to put it in myself, but had no luck. Once 5 pm hit, I knew I had close to no chance of getting my headlight fixed before commuting to work early in the morning. With the 30 minutes I had, I drove over to Autoplace and asked them if they could replace the bulb for me. Although there was only 10 minutes until closing, Autoplace took in my vehicle and had the headlight replaced in no time. Once I offered to pay, Autoplace did not accept payment. Because of their incredible quick service, cleanliness and hospitality, I will be recommending Autoplace in the future and plan on using them for all of my other car needs. Thank you Autoplace!!

Me, being me, I started to panic a little as I had to drive back down to the lower mainland so I could go to work the next day. I called around to a few different places but all were closed except for Autoplace. When I called the gentleman was very friendly and told me I could drive right over. When I got there he did a check engine light scan and turns out one of my cylinders was misfiring. He checked a few things but wasn't able to tell if it was misfiring or not. There is no discernable vibration etc. While checking over my car he also took a look at my oil and put window washing fluid in. At the end it was safe to drive back home AND he didn't charge me a cent. I offered as he did me a solid. If I could have stayed in town and had my car serviced there I totally would. As I promised him, I am getting a full diagnosis from a highly recommended place in the Lower Mainland and if my girl needs work, I'll have them do it.

They looked at it as soon as I got there, ran full diagnostic, determined it was a truck issue and not a trailer brake issues, recommended a good mechanic, explained it all to me so I could fully understand (and relay it to the mechanic) and made my day (had been trying to resolve this in my hometown for two weeks prior with nothing but a run around). 100% will recommend to everyone, whether they ask or not.

When I check the hitch it was great as they made it so when you plugged in your trailer the plug was attached to the hitch so it was easier to put the trailer plug in. (no movement). The day after placing my order, I received an email indicating that my order would be shipping, but…read moreno tracking number was given. After checking their website to see if I could find a tracking number for my order, I discovered that although the part I ordered was in stock, my order would not be shipping until Feb. 26th. Needless to say, I was definitely put off at the slow shipping of their orders, since I needed the replacement part quickly, and had I known at checkout that they couldn't ship it within 2-3 business days, I would have ordered from a different company. --------- Email from abtecparts on Feb 23rd indicating shipment: Thank you for your order. This order has now been forwarded to shipping for dispatch. As per your order confirmation we ship by mail. To find the status of your order at any time, go to the top of any Abtec Parts website page and click on the "Order Status" button. Most shipments arrive within 7 to 10 working days, but the Post Office asks for you to allow at least three weeks for delivery before contacting us. If not received after this period, please check the address on your order, check with your Post Office and then email us quoting your order number, last name or email address. --------- Today, Feb 29th, I emailed their customer service to see if they had a tracking number for my order or to cancel my order if it had not yet shipped, and here's their reply: ----- We're very sorry, but your order did not go out on Friday due to circumstances beyond our control. We have cancelled your order and voided the charge to your card. ----- As an online seller myself for several years, I am appalled that another business operates this way. I try to ship within 24 hours of an order being placed, and since I mostly ship through the USPS, I ship through the end of the day Saturday as well. If I am going on vacation or having a long weekend, I plan ahead of time by shipping some inventory to Amazon, so they can fulfill my orders. Then, I can close my shop and just respond to customer emails. A week of "circumstances beyond our control" is completely unacceptable, and abtecparts should strongly consider a different business model, since the current one isn't working.
