Air bnb

The vibes were great, stayed in the air bnb above the bar. Highly recommend. I got the burger and fries and it was delish! Bartenders were very friendly

Decent food for a bar plus great signature cocktails! Cool place with friendly staff!

Great staff!! They really make you feel like you're just old friends instead of customers. Very reliable service, they are open 9 AM -2 PM, seemingly regardless of weather. Breakfast is tasty and the coffee is surprisingly high quality. We only tried a couple dinner items but they were all solid. Fries are great. Dirty balls are really different and give you a good laugh. They regularly come up with fun cocktails, but you have to get the yucca!

This place is awesome! Jennifer took great care if us making sure the drinks weren't empty. She is pretty awesome and had some good stories. The food was delicious. I had the turkey pot pie and let me tell you if you leave hungry, you have one hell of an appetite. Later on we sat by the fire pit out and back met some other cool peeps. Will be back next visit!

We're giving this place all the glory it deserves, and to be honest, it all goes to Payne. We didn't know coming into this classy dive bar, but Payne was a bartender, server, and cook. ALL AT THE SAME TIME!! Before I get into the food, I want to say that this place is really cool. Clearly, the community is really invested and they have a good following. I liked this board they had about buying their friend a drink whenever they come in. I wish places back here in LA had them. My girlfriend went for the hush puppies and BBQ chicken wings while I wanted to try the burger and fries. There were a few orders before us so we waited awhile for food, but after figuring out that Payne was doing everything, we totally understood what was happening and just enjoyed drinking, talking to strangers, and watching sports on the TV. Mad respect for this talented individual. He brought us our food which was all good and cooked perfectly. The man is very talented and even made this bourbon bacon maple bundt cake that stared at me next to the bar. We didn't try it, but someone near us did and said it was terrific. The cool part about this as a tourist was the slot machines and that it also worked as an Air BNB, which we heard gets busy during the summer so reserve a spot there very early. We will definitely go back and hopefully, someone can help out Payne, who can teach them the ropes.

This is such a cool and laid back bar! Walking in, I admired their really cool door and their upside down Christmas tree, complete with festive Rainier reindeer cans. Their cocktail menu is fun. While I may not have iron jugs as they claim you need to have to enjoy their oyster shooters :) , I had three oyster shooters total on our trip and they were so fresh each and every time. So simple and so good. They use Bar Pilot's Jalepeno Lime vodka in their shooters (a local distillery). We also enjoyed a plate of their hush puppies :) the green onion plus the cornmeal made an awesome taste. We also stayed at the Airbnb that they host-it was awesome. This is such a cool spot and I would come to stay again.

Dog friendly patio

The back patio is a perfect for a beverage with friends and bring your dog too. You can buy a beer for someone to have later. Just leave it all the wall. Lol

Meat bingo and their burger
Larissa S.

We went for Meat Bingo which happens every Sunday and the locals were super nice and welcoming, explaining the rules and different games! Make sure you bring plenty of quarters to pay for your card each round (0.50/ea) and show up by 5 to get a table (starts at 6:30). we didn't win anything, but it was a super fun atmosphere to be in! It's pretty crowded and divey, but the food was surprisingly good and well cooked!

Dive bar tour!!

We are locals with an out of town friend here visiting. We went on a little bar tour (of our faves and some new spots) of Clatsop County and our friend loved the Workers so much!!! Awesome drinks and service!! Thank you Jennifer, you rock girl!!!

Hamburgers, fries & chocolate cake slice

My wife had just given birth and workers tavern was one of very limited places open and within walking distance. The food came out quicker than expected and tasted great! The fries had a great crispness and their size was even better! I have never been to the place but their burgers are DELICIOUS

If I lived in Astoria I would become an alcoholic and this is where I would live. This dive bar gets everything right.

Done, won't be back. Medium rare prime rib was well done and no aujus garlic bread was burnt. Service sucked also.

She was cleaning and changing out kegs, and a couple taps weren't available. There was only a local beer, a cider, and Stella available on tap There is a pool table in the back, sports on the tv, a boutique section where you can buy trendy clothes toward the front, and a long list of unique shot options. There was a very pleasant aroma to the bar as you walk in, and everything just seemed immaculate The bar was a lot of fun, and we found ourselves sitting there for an hour or so Some tips: Check out the boutique section towards the front and walkways with some new threads. We didn't try them, but there were advertisements all over the bar for cabbage rolls... so, they must be known for them Cheers!!

They also have a pool table, and one of the regulars brought his small dog, who kept us company and sang a duet with his owner. lol We also loved looking thru the thrift clothes and items for sale. The only suggestion I have is that the location doesn't feel like a pub. The large windows are not covered, and you feel like you're in a fish bowl. Curtains, blinds, or window darkening options.

I had the clams and mussels chowder and halibut cakes that weren't bad but the highlights were the crab dip with the French / Sourdough bread and the Huckleberry Lemonade . My wife had a ribeye that she said was decent. Our server was excellent. She made sure our meal met our expectations and kept checking in on us. They're not even trying to determine if their food and service is acceptable Missteps included: #1) Two different menus were given, one outdated with a special I wanted. Totally forgivable though #2) potatoes in bouillabaisse were so undercooked they were inedible. They made up most of the dish too. On the plus side, the broth and fish were well prepared. See photo #3) onions in the Hungarian mushroom soup were large, crunchy and near raw. #4) a main ingredient in my special salad was completely missing and it was impossible to find my wait person. Thankfully a bus person assisted, went to a manager, then the busser brought the ingredient to the table. #5) very poor timing of dishes brought to the table. Since there were few people dining I find this perplexing #6) we were never ONCE asked how things were, surprising especially since a manager knew of at least one misstep. The food was not awful, but the issues with the food combined with the "I don't care" wait staff and management in a pricy restaurant made it a NEVER AGAIN situation
