The first time I went in looking for ice skates, I tried to flag a staff member for help and was lingering in the skate area for a good 20 mins. It wasn't busy, but I got fed up and just left. Today I went in again looking for shoes expecting the same treatment, but I thought I would give it another shot since it had been a year. I wanted to try on some shoes and went around the mens section eye balling staff as they dashed past but still nothing. It wasn't super busy being a Tuesday afternoon, but again I gave up - this time frustrated! Rather than giving up on Spot Chek altogether as I think it's just this store that has poor customer service, I went to the East Hills location instead. I was helped within 2 minutes and the staff checked on me to see the shoes were fitting right and bring me more options. I spent more than I planned which is good for business right! I want to love the 130th location as it's convenient, but please up your customer service experience.

Here is what he has to say about the place: I took my AST1 with splitboard HQ last year. It was extremely well taught and Simon kept it interesting and fun. I've had parts break on my bindings and the guys there have been super prompt in helping me out as I live in Edmonton. They have kayaking activities in the summer but I don't know much about that. All in all the their customer support is a 10/10 , their knowledge on the back country, tools, tips and tricks is a 10/10. If you are interested in adventure, I highly recommend taking a AST1 course, or see what they're kayaking side of things has to offer. You won't be disappointed!!
