I have to speak out about Woori. I rely on delivery because I live a bit far, so I've only ever ordered takeout. They are the most CONSISTENT Korean restaurant in all of Brooklyn. They are the only korean restaurant that has never disappointed me. I rely on their bulgogi bibimbap weekly, and their banchan is the best when it comes to variety and flavor. Their bulgogi is garlicky, buttery, and just absolutely perfect. I wish I could order a big side of the Mac salad they give you! They always follow my special instructions for extra sauce, and they have never missed on consistency of quality. There have been times where I didn't like what I ordered, but despite my personal preference, I could tell it was still a worthy dish. No technical errors. Great Korean food without being crazy expensive. I've been craving jajangmyeon literally since Parasite came out in theaters (so essentially for 6 years) and was so excited when I found it here, did not disappoint! The noodles were the best kind of chewy and thick, the black bean gravy was well seasoned and not too salty, and I liked the addition of the onion and veggies. It hit the spot, but I think one of my favorite dishes was their veggie kimbap, which was Korean sushi, with the pickled veggies totally popping and making for a truly unique roll. The dolsot bibimbap was also delicious and had a good assortment of veggies and toppings, with the option to add more kimchi and spicy radish and sauce to bring the heat. Came here on an unassuming Thursday afternoon mid-April when the weather was especially beautiful and everyone in Fort Greene was eating al fresco as if they were in Paris. However, I was craving Korean and catching up with a good friend who raved about this place. We got the dolsot bibimbap and the ohjingah bokeum (spicy squid) and both dishes were superb. So happy to come across this quiet casual Korean spot. Nice service and it really feels like a family run restaurant. AC was lacking but they tried to direct a big fan toward the customers. Still got quite sweaty especially after all the spicy bubbling hot food and trying to wrangle our toddler to sit still on our laps. Toddler approved of the kimbap and polished off all the yellow pickled radish. Husband got his jajangmyeon cravings satisfied; he was extra thrilled they were able to accommodate his request to make it spicy. I tried the beef sundubu jjigae but it wasn't as good as the ones I've had elsewhere - it was just salty and didn't include any veggies. We absolutely love Woori for Korean take out. We ordered quite often and have yet to be disappointed. It's an expensive habit but we are paying for quality. The Banchan is wonderful and our favorites include the fish cake and the spicy bean sprouts. We stan for the spicy korean pork but have discovered the BBQ sauteed chicken is seriously underrated- it's our daughters favorite dish. The galbi is great as well as the beef jap Chae. My new favorite is the dukbokki. I was sick recently and these were spicy and comforting and chewy rice cakes hit the spot. Another gem is the kimchi jiggae which is a stew of sausages, pork belly, kimchi, ramen, and rice cakes in a spicy broth. The lunch box is such a great meal, I've usually order for delivery but I came in with a friend last week to eat in person and was pleasantly surprised at how fast the food came out and the ambience. Amazing Korean spot in Fort Greene :) This place don't sell alcohol but you can ask and bring your own bottle. They are very sweet and we brought some beers and they let us to drink in the restaurant. We went for lunch and we enjoyed from their huge lunch menu. I got Yukgaejang extra spicy- my friend got Sundubu Jigae. It comes with rice and small tapas of cause and pretty tasty! Extra spicy but I can eat as a baby spicy lover :) Lunch price is amazing! One of the best Korean spots in the area! I'm a fan of the dukbokki and the rice cake soup. The rice cakes in until dukbokki are huge and perfectly textured, with a great kick from the sauce. The rice cake soup is my favorite. A clear beef broth filled with rice cakes and sliced beef. It is light yet flavorful and comforting, perfect for a cold winter day. I'm so hype that I found another amazing Korean restaurant in Brooklyn with great service and amazing food. The food was so good that I ordered take out twice in one day. The first time I ordered panjeon and the lunch special which included kimchi, grilled pork, japchae, kimbap and banchan. The second time I ordered mandu and kimchi stew with sausage, ham, pork belly, tofu, rice cake, and ramen. The food was flavorful, authentic and obviously made with love! I enjoyed every bite and plan on ordering here again. The physical location is a bit small and they don't serve alcohol, it's not a place you would meet with friends to have a meal. It's more of a grab and go or if you're in the area and want a great meal you would eat and go. The lunch specials are numerous and I took my time making a decision. Ultimately I took the easy way out and ordered the bulgogi, while my little brother opted for the galbi. We received a variety of side dishes: kimchi, bean sprouts, etc. After some initial nibbling, our mains arrived. Let me share an honest truth: I know very little about Korean food. Bulgogi was a safe bet because I've had it (and enjoyed it) in the past. But this was by far the tastiest, juiciest, most mouthwatering bulgogi I've had in my life. My brother let me try the galbi, which also proved to be delicious. We punctuated our eating with moans of approval; I couldn't hold back my delight. After consuming all the rice and devouring the side dishes, there were only empty plates left on the table. Looking over Woori's menu, I came to terms with my ignorance about this type of cuisine. Woori's well-priced lunch specials present an appealing opportunity to try new things and discover a world of culinary delights. I'm excited to step outside my comfort zone in future visits and explore more of these tasty delicacies. A quiet and underrated Korean spot in Fort Greene. The staff is nice and the food tastes legit. My go-to is the jae yook tofu kimchi. I've been pretty let down by other Korean restaurants in Brooklyn especially because their kimchi tastes under-fermented and sweet so their other kimchi dishes aren't flavorful but Woori does it right. Decided to check out this new Korean spot and was very pleased with my experience. I came on a quick lunch date with my wife and we both ordered lunch specials. For an appetizer we ordered Gun Mandu - Pan fried pork dumplings - they had great flavor and were super crunchy which I like. Didn't need any soy sauce. Complimentary kimchi pickled veggies / potatoes were placed on the table along with them. Complimentary miso soup from waitress was delivered very soon after and she was extremely courteous. For my entree I ordered the Jajangmyun The beef was super tender & sweet the marinade /sauce didn't leave much to be desired. Very hearty meal and felt like it was cooked with love... I'm excited to see a new Korean restaurant in the neighborhood as there aren't many if any at all. I placed an order through DoorDash for dinner and ordered galbi tang (short rib soup) and steamed gun mandu (dumplings). Both were really tasty and hit the spot. Felt like home cooking to me. The galbi tang had so much meat which is great because I usually don't ever see enough meat from other restaurants. The restaurant gave a great portion of banchan (side dishes) with my order which I feel is another rarity in NYC. Ha. Oh, and to top off my meal they added a free Choco Pie! Woori has my favorite galbitang, or beef stew. The beef inside the soup is so juicy and melts in your mouth. They add glass noodles and green onions and the broth is so savory and tasty - I'm hoping to try out a homemade recipe. A lot of the items on this menu are quite delicious - we've tried the ttoboki and the spicy ramen as well (not pictured). Brooklyn doesn't have a lot of Korean food and this place is perfect for your many cravings. They have an extensive menu for a small restaurant. Theres only a few tables for dine in. Their dolsot bibimbap is filled with stuff and not too much rice in a large wide bowl to maximize crisping of rice. It was great. Their seafood noodle soup also had so much in it. Two meals for sure. La kalbi is good but overly sweet if you're into that. Soondubu was great with silky tofu and flavorful broth. Burned my tongue. Their banchan is more of the plain stuff but spicy and flavorful. This is a great Korean restaurant in the neighborhood. I find the food really delicious and really good and I'm glad I finally have a good go-to place for Korean nearby.
