We have been to Woods a few times .We just got streaks that were very good high quality . and good friendly service. this time we add a roast and bacon sausage ! The roast had marbling like good steak , the butchering is first rate. trimmed perfectly . not like a store or Costco with large amounts of fat. or cut uneven. this was picture perfect ! I even took a pic to show other s. the bacon sausage has a great taste and very little fat. And everytI've we have been there the service is exelent. i have a hard time with reviews of tough meat. maybe they don't know how to properly cook it. and customer service top self. even the other customers are friendly. read more

We purchased a whole large standing rib roast around $9 dollars a pound. We decided to cut it into 3 different meals and cooked the first one for Christmas. My husband cooked it rare. The meat was so tough, it was difficult to chew and we were extremely disappointed since now we have 2/3 of a prime rib roast that we are unsure what to do with because it's so tough. They do a great job taking care of meat processed of meat we hunt and bring in but ordered meat has been a disappointment. We had gone to Cafe 95 a few months back and ordered their prime rib dinner and it was the same toughness, they claimed the meat was from Woods meat, so I am having to figure out a different avenue to get our prime rib roast instead of purchasing them from Woods Meat. Very disappointed to spend over $180 on meat and it not be good. read more

This place is absolutely fantastic: incredibly nice staff, convenient location and delicious products at a good price. We started to salivate when we smelled the smoky aroma in the air walking into the store and got an assortment of meats and sausages that were great. Worst customer service I've ever had. I recently harvested a moose and brought it to woods because I've heard good things about their meat processing. I brought quarters with bone in and all loose meat. Meat was in Kuiu game bags. Not dirty and cared for well. They denied my meat saying it was too dirty. I thought that was odd but didn't argue so I left and went to the fairgrounds to pick off a few hairs I guess. I went back to woods, presented the meat to them again and all they could tell me is that it was lunch time but after pulling some teeth they took my meat. I told them specifically to cut as much into steaks as possible and grind the rest. A week later I was pleased to hear the meat was done. So I drive 50 miles up to Sandpoint to get the meat. I get there and there is about ten packages of steaks and they had literally ground the whole damn thing into hamburger. Failing to complete my request I was very upset. They offered no discount. Nothing. Just got screwed and couldn't even talk to a manager because there wasn't one available. Worst meat processing experience I've even had. I will never take anything there again and I would never recommend to anyone that I cared about. I felt this was very unacceptable and unprofessional for a place that for some reason so highly thought of. Don't waste your money because it's also way overpriced for such poor service. read more

I had them process my Elk and then ordered 1/2 a side of beef. They scheduled all to correlate with my 6 hour drive home. The bologna and sausages sold at the counter went over well at camp when I returned from dropping off our elk.I have shared the meat from Woods here in Washington cooked and given as gifts. This place has awesome staff and cleanest areas Ive seen for processing. I will drive the 12 hr round trip to buy their product. read more

We've been buying meat from Woods for years. The meat is good quality, humanely raised, grass fed, and very reasonable in price. We drive from Spokane to Sandpoint to get it because we prefer it to any we have purchased in the Spokane area. read more

I needed to make St Paddy's day dinner (a week early) for 8 adults, so Rosie, one of all the professional, knowledgeable staff at Wood's, helped us select a 10# cut of corned beef for the occasion. First of all, we were able to cut it in perfect configuration to set all pieces on end in the 8 qt Instant Pot. Using the trivet, we stood up the pieces on end alternating fat to lean sides, then added broth & shaved garlic, giving it time to drain down the meat to fill the pot to the max line. It cooked to perfection in 3 hours, then removed the meat to cook the veggies in the broth in 3 more minutes in the pressure cooker (15 min total processing time). 8 adults finished all but 3 medium sized portions. Not enough left for everyone to have left overs, but enough for a working man to take in his lunch - and he was very happy - as were all the rest of us with our dinners. We feel we are fortunate to be able to get just about all our meat at, since the only thing better would be to farm our own. read more
