Farmhouse kitchen

Farmhouse kitchen is right across from the Ruby's hotel. It's in a great location if you're staying at the hotel. The food was really good and the breakfast buffet was amazing. There is outdoor seating if you have a furry friend and want to sit on the patio. We would definitely come back. The food and service was amazing.

Awesome smoker!

Just stopped here! Who can resist a smoker the size of a mini submarine in the back of a restaurant. Breakfast was the menu @ 0900hrs. Initially ordered pork tacos! Unfortunately, they were out of pork. 2nd try was birria beef tacos. Really wanted to get a 5 star on the board here! Unfortunately, taking 20 minutes to let me know the pork was not available and having to wait 20 more minutes for a birria beef replacement was a bit much! Not sure about

Smoked Wings...

Nice place! We got there right as they opened lunch up on a Sunday mornin', and were advised they didn't have ribs available yet. Made a quick menu perusal, and settled on a 1lb of Wings. I got definitely more than a pound, and they were what I call, 'over-smoked,' which is actually how I like them in a BBQ joint. And when in Rome, always get the Huckleberry BBQ Sauce. Wifey ordered their Mac & Cheese, with a smoked Turkey add-on, and it was pretty decadent. Sides were decent, with their beans holding their own against ones we've had in other joints. It's QSR, with up front ordering/paying/etc., but that's never bothered us. Nice, classic 70s/80s AOR wafting through the dining room, and not obtrusive at all to conversation. Staff were fine, albeit constantly on the move...

Pre 4th of July dinner

It was the 4th of July week and this place was busy just like the other nearby restaurants. You order at the register then they'll bring the food to your table. Be patient as some customers don't plan on what to order until they get to the register. We ordered a veggie cheeseburger combo with mac n' cheese and coleslaw. The black bean patty was pretty good and the amount of the sides were great, we were able to share it.

$18 brisket plate with that I could not swallow down it was so dry. I will say the mashed potatoes were good. The baked beans were ok.

The brisket was terrible. It looked old and dry when it arrived. I have come here the last few trips on business and it is going the wrong way. Was charged $23 for a margarita. $9 for the Tequila $10 for the Gran Marnier plus $3 for the margarita mix. What a joke.

Grilled Bacon Cheddar Onion on sourdough with home fries.
David H.

Food price / quality (value) rating 8.5. We only had breakfast here, but it was pretty good. Their menu is pretty diverse with several unusual choices. I had a bacon cheddar melt which is basically a grilled bacon and cheese and sauteed onions on sourdough bread with home fried potatoes on the side. Their portions were large, and it came with two extra pieces of high quality thick cut hacon (which I don't normally like, but this was very high quality). The wife had a children's fruit bowl that was large enough for an adult, made with large black raspberries and strawberries. Overall, a pretty good breakfast.

Best place to eat in Sandpoint! Got the BBq sampler and it was awesome. Robes were perfect, brisket was incredible and the turkey was to die for! Great place and the people are awesome!!

Great service, nice and bright inside, lots of room inside or outside options. Food was delicious and you can have beer or other drinks.

I was recommended to try a burger at the Farmhouse Kitchen BBQ and after enjoying a Mushroom Swiss burger I'll be back and bring the family too! The dining area is inviting and the smell of bbq being delivered to patrons makes for an excellent experience. Looking forward to returning for another excellent meal!

The breakfast was not really good, the eggs came over cooked, and the chips were stale.

Their menu is very interesting, it definitely tells a new American story with a lot of influence, but holds traditional to a new American style. The service is incredible. Everyone seems so happy and alive. Every single thing that we got was perfect. The port flight was quite a steal at $20. We were excited to try some different items, but were even more thrilled when it came out with some amazing chocolate. The bread puffs that come before the meal are to die for, and we got a taquito appetizer that was super filling, fresh, vibrant, and a little unique too. I wish we didn't live all the way across the country! This is a must stop in Spokane for a lovely and memorable meal.

Yes, the chicken meat was so flavorful, and so tender...never experienced something like this. I told the bartender to give compliments to the chef. Behold-one of the chefs came out to greet my GF and I. Now, I got to say...you get what you pay for. It's not cheap. But, if you have money, or if you want to make an impression, by all means, this is the place. Quaint, nicely decorated place. Low light, quiet, everyone is happy. But, again, go for the food. Everything else is a plus. My first visit was a year ago. I had a fish dish. I'm asking myself why it took so long to go back! Dress nicely, you'll feel important.

It's in an unlikely spot- off the highway between Spokane and Cheney, and a grocery store strip mall. Right next to Yokes, but with amazing hills behind it as a back drop. It's one of those places that you can tell is a fun place just by looking at it: courtyard with a fountain and fireplace, white lights outlining the cabin-in-woods type structure. It just makes you want to go inside. Luckily, this book is safe to judge by its cover! It looks equally cool inside. You order at the counter after waiting in a fairly long line. While in line, we were approached by a server who asked our party size and then told us our table number and pointed in the direction it would be. The person who takes your order asks for that number. There was a rack of scrumptious looking bread products behind the counter that was hard to take out eyes off of. Bummer that I'm watching my carbs. I had a delicious Garden Scramble and my wife Eggs Florentine. Also had a great London Fog to drink. We both love red our meal, loved the service and the environment. We even walked up the stairs to check it out the empty part of the seating. We'll be back for sure!

Sweet Lou's was actually down the street and it had some foods that sounded really good. I was seated immediately and my waiter Elijah got my drink order. I asked him what he recommended and he mentioned the Tailgate Eggrolls and a burger. But I was really craving a steak and he said they had a special on prime rib. I'm a huge steak lover, especially prime ribs so I opted for that with the Tailgate Eggrolls. I suppose I was hungrier than I thought after a long day and I ate everything. The 5 Tailgate Eggrolls, a Caesar Salad (not pictured), the prime rib, and a cup of Vegetable Beef soup. The eggrolls were filled with cream cheese, jalapeños, cheese and served with a jalapeño pepper jelly. If you love cream cheese, this appetizer for you. I like crab rangoon, I like jalapeño poppers, and now I like these egg rolls. The Caesar salad was great. Fresh romaine, crunchy seasoned croutons, shredded Parmesan cheese, and fresh cracked pepper. The star of the show was the prime rib. I've had many prime ribs, rib roasts, beef roasts in my life big I've never had one smoked, which was a detail I missed when Elijah was telling me about it. Let me tell you, the smoke flavor was infused with the meat and the seasoning on the prime rib was superb. The addition of BOTH horseradish and aus jus is a nice touch. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Last but not least, the vegetable beef soup was chock full of celery, potatoes, and huge chunks of beef. Hearty and delicious indeed. If you're living here, then I'm jealous Sweet Lou's is here for you. If your visiting, pay Sweet Lou's a visit. Elijah is a fantastic server!
