We last came here about 2 years ago and I have no idea why we don't come more often. The food is fantastic (with lots of GF options), the service is great (thanks, Megan!) and the atmosphere is relaxing and cool. I ordered the fish tacos again (still amazing), my husband got a burger again (awesome) and this time my son got the Burrata Ravioli. Short of licking his plate clean, he ate and enjoyed every bite. We were too full for dessert or we would have ordered the flourless chocolate cake (also GF) but the BEST part came at the end of the meal. When Megan presented the check, I was over the moon thrilled to see a pocket copy of the US Constitution included. SO SO cool! Megan said they give one out to each table and I was excited to let her know that I always carry a copy in my purse. I did take this one to give my husband so he always has a copy - but what a truly cool thing to do. By doing that, the owners have earned my admiration in addition to my appreciation for their food! Loved this place! Our waitress was very colorful in appearance and personality. Went in for Mother's day and my mother had a chicken salad sandwich, my dad had this plate of tacos that were just incredible looking, wife had a pickled beet salad and I had a special Tuscan Chicken pasta. Let's just say it really was special because, we arrived a couple minutes early and the previous special was on the board. Instead of coming back after I'd ordered and disappointing me. They just made it and the waitress came back to tell me I would be having the only one served today. Amazing service to do that. As we were sitting there the hostess immediately got to putting the days actual specials on the board. We all had a great meal and a great time. We all took a to go box as it was a lot of food. The hot sauces are a bit above the normal choices too, the scorpion had a little sting for sure . Word of mouth is about the only way you would even notice this place because it's not flashy at all and I'm not sure we didn't park in the garage next doors business parking. Don't blink or you will miss it!! Went there for our tenth wedding anniversary. The food was first class, I had the Poke', and was pleasantly surprised with how darn good it was. Northern Idaho, first class Poke'. Wife had one of the ravioli dishes, cannot recall which. She absolutely loved it. I of course took a taste or two, and 100% concurred, was on point. Service was good, they were a bit busy, and appeared to be heavy takeout night. But, no complaints. Worth the drive from Sagle for a dinner that was unexpectedly good. Another North Idaho gem. Been many times but last time wasn't so great. Seated by the cold and drafty window. Had to ask to move. Typically, the Mature Mac is a favorite. This time added pulled pork and surprised to have it come with about 60% pork and 40% macaroni. Making it super dry and salty. Couldn't taste the macaroni at all. Way too much meat. A bit disappointed for a $25 dish. Love the beer choices but it's also served ice cold. Microbrew shouldn't be served quite that cold. I don't know. Maybe just an off night. read more

Our table of four people enjoyed our experience here. The menu has unusual and interesting variety. We each ordered something different, and the presentation of each dish was very appetizing. The brussels sprout appetizer was fantastic! The cauliflower appetizer was good. The risotto à la vodka had lots of shrimp and good flavor, but a little too creamy and rich for my palette. Our server was very professional and efficient. We were offered sufficient drink refills, but needed more water refills. The restaurant is right on the road through town so if they put up half curtains on the lower part of the windows you wouldn't see the traffic going by. But on a Sunday night, there wasn't much traffic so even that didn't disrupt our meal. We look forward to going back to this restaurant! read more

I was in the area on a family vacation and seeking out my two favorite items-craft beer and vegan food. This was a ways out from where we were staying, but proved to be worth the drive. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but it is nice on the inside and I was surprised to find other weekday lunch diners here. It has a full bar and an impressive tap list. I was sad to see that happy hour is still on hold related to covid, but having normal hours is a plus in my book these days. I really enjoyed my impossible tacos, vegan without alterations which is always great to see. Not sure if they are available for dinner, but I made a point to come for lunch just in case. My partner had the pork tacos and wasn't able to finish his, both meals were quite filling. I saw a couple other items on the menu that caught my interest. The service was great and the waitress was attentive to our needs plus being very friendly. The inside was a lot better than the outside would let you believe. Liked the restaurant vibe and staff were friendly but the food and drinks were mediocre. They don't have hard liquor there so drinks with hard liquor are from a can and served in a glass. This wasn't obvious when we got there and learned the hard way. I ordered the ahi tuna, which was cooked correctly but cut into large chunks. The wasabi dressing was ok but runny. The sides were green cabbage with green onion (this tasted fresh and good, I'm not normally a slaw fan but it didn't have any mayo) and some overcooked and dry carrot medallions that felt like a leftover from another entree. If I could do it over, I think I would have ordered a burger or pasta dish with beer. My husband ordered pulled pork tacos, which was a large portion of pork but only tasted vaguely Mexican. He agreed me with about what to order if there is a next time. read more

Gross disgusting methed out kitchen staff made a huge deal about couple holding hands and rolled their eyes at us and the alcoholic cook actually came up to our table to tell us that we were lying about their disgusting looks at us and telling us that we were the problem . A nice little gem of a place in old priest river. We stopped in on our way back to sandpoint and saw a sign for it so we decided to have a late lunch. So pleasantly surprised by the nice wine and beer selection. Most places around here only offer the standard grocery store wines, or mostly cali wines. When the pnw has some of the best wines its sad to see such limited choices at other places. the Settlement puts them all to shame! I would however like to see them feature some good central Wa wines and SE Wa wines which are some of the finest in the pnw! The food was great, We ordered grilled cheese (made with goat cheese) and pulled pork mac. A nice cosmic crisp cider was really good and to nice to have icicle ridge brew on tap! Best food in the area. We have lived here for 3 years now and visited for about a decade prior. Remember when this place was the Hardwood Grill.... Anyways, they have amazing food and a great beer and wine list! Hubby usually orders the pork ribeye with bacon jam and it has never disappointed! I love the (beef) Ribeye and the tacos. The Mac and cheese is a heavy, hearty dish that will give you leftovers! Today we had the Clam Chowder and the Rueben sandwich. Can't decide which is better, they were both so tasty! This place has a great menu, great taps and selections and great service. We started with an appetizer - the crab, spinach, artichoke dip with huge pita chips. It was delicious! We also had our favorite Huckleberry Cider- so good! For our main we had the Cowboy burger with fries and The Nashville chicken with salad. The fries were not crisp and my salad was dead but the staff quickly fixed this for us and were a a solitary gracious and fantastic about it. This is a restaurant I will return to. We were invited to meet some friends at the settlement kitchen a few days ago. We shared the brussel sprouts and crab dip with the table. Both were great. My wife and I shared the Nashville chicken sandwich while our friends shared the ribeye off the lunch menu. They were both outstanding but I wish we had gotten the ribeye too. The waitress was amazing super friendly and attentive. We arrived well after lunch and just before the dinner menu came out so there were only a few people in the restaurant. They had many craft beers on tap and large selection of locally canned ones. We will definitely come back to try the ribeye. read more

This place is tricky to rate. On one hand, the food is excellent. The place has plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options -- something pretty rare for this part of Idaho! The waitress was super knowledgeable in advising what to eat and what to avoid. I ended up choosing a vegan burger, with a gluten free bun, and French fries! The French fries are fried in a dedicated frier, which is uncommon. Food was served hot off the grill and fryer, and I was super happy with my food. I was so hungry that I didn't take a picture before eating. Fries were crispy and came with a few different sauces to try. And the burger was good. It tasted like other beyond burgers, but that's fine. I enjoy them and find them tasty. I ordered a cider to go with my meal, and it was a nice fit. We stopped here for lunch on 4th of July. It was relatively busy but there were a lot of empty seats and a few people at the bar. Our waitress was friendly and outgoing. We tried the fish tacos (x2), the chicken sandwich, the quinoa/arugula salad, and the fig salad. The tacos were so good! If I went back, that would be my order again. The salads were okay, nothing fancy but not bad. The chicken sandwich was good! Spicy, but well balanced with the creamy coleslaw on top. My favorite part about this place is their extensive beer menu. I believe you can also buy beer and wine from here to take home. We have stopped in here a couple of times. First time was just to have a craft beer. But we ended up sharing and trying their Impossible burger, a veggie burger that tastes pretty close to the meat version. Very good! The second time, we had a beer and some food. I got their mature mac-n-cheese, which was filled with creamy goodness, chicken, mushrooms, bacon, and lots of cheese. Yumminess in every bite! VERY good and comforting. BF got their fettuccine alfredo and baby clams. He enjoyed it so much there was nothing left over. I did sneak a bite and it was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of butter and sauce. I have eaten here a few times in the past and usually had a positive experience. Today was not the case. My wife and I were traveling to Sandpoint and passing thought Priest River. We were hungry for lunch and they had just opened at noon. We were the first patrons of the day, as all tables were open. The hostess didn't even greet us as we walked in and she appeared to have a fairly obvious scowl on her face. No "Welcome In" or "How's your day going", just looks at us and says "two" to which I nod. She starts leading us to the tables on the right but I interject with a question; asking her if we could sit to the left of the restaurant by the windows so we could keep an eye on our car which we had left running with the air conditioning for our dogs. She appeared annoyed and said "you can only sit in the first booth" on that side which kind of defeated the purpose of my request. We sat down and she threw some menus on the table and without saying another word, walked away. My wife and I looked at each other and both had the same thought: "like what's her attitude problem?" We decided we didn't want to spend our money there with such a cold reception. Not sure If I'll be back. To the owner or manager of this place I would say: you might want to reassign this person to a new position, and have a serious talk. Because she's not doing your business any favors. read more

I ordered take out on the way back from Priest Lake to Coeur d'Alene. I am gluten intolerant and they had so many options! Any sandwich can be gluten free except the fried chicken one. Their fries are the best fries ever had, the seasoning is amazing! My kids loved their chicken tenders and Mac and cheese. Everything was so fresh, packaged sustainably, their sauces are incredible! Best Impossible gluten free burger I've ever had. I wish I lived closer to this place! It's insanely amazing and reminds me of high end restaurants in LA when I lived there.
