They freely admit they will special order beer and under the old management, the process was simple and straightforward. Under the new management is has been anything but. Several times I have stopped there, written down exactly what I wanted with my contact number. I was promised a return call after they spoke with their distributor, but no call ever came. The last instance was three weeks ago. I waited two weeks and nothing. So, last week I returned to the store to see what happened. I was greeted with a defensive, woke attitude and non-sensical excuses. Worse, they couldn't even find the order I had written. Again, I was promised a call on the following Monday, 3 days ago and again nothing. The bottom line is when you make a customer a promise you need to keep it, especially when you've broken promises in the past. A good company with good customer service would first apologize, then work hard to rectify the situation. Yet, no apology was ever provided and quite obviously, the situation was never rectified. I don't patronize businesses that possess distain and indifference to their customers and you shouldn't either. read more

I visited Pour Authority for the second year in a row and I love this place for what it is. They have great beers on tap, with something for every beer tastebud. I tried the "Everybody's" local pale ale this time around and really liked it. Easy to drink, crisp, and she offered us a smaller size since it normally comes poured as a 16 oz. They have everything under the sun in their refrigerators- from stouts to ciders to high alcohol kombuchas. I also love that they have beers, etc. along the walls that you can buy and take home to your fridge for later. They had local beers for Idaho, and local beers for myself as a Chico (Sierra Nevada Brewing) resident. They are dog AND outside food friendly which is a huge plus since we make day trips from Priest River and have dogs in tow. Their game selection is great, bathrooms are clean, and their interior decorations are on point. I'll be back next year, ID PA! read more

We loved the Pour Authority so much that we visited this spot twice in our 3 day visit to SandPoint. They have a great selection of beer and cider from all over the northwest, including 10 or so beers on draft. You can pick a can or bottle from the giant coolers and drink it there (they'll pour it in a glass for you) or take it to go. Or both! We sat at the bar and enjoyed talking with the servers who had some great recommendations for food in town. The service is awesome - they even remembered our names when we came back the second time! Last night was my first time, at Idaho Pour Authority and it did not disappoint! I loved the lively vibe inside of this craft beer mecca. I don't remember the name of the guy singing Live music here, but he did a lot of Ray LaMontane covers and music of the like, genre and he was incredible! His voice was haunting and addicting, while his guitar playing, was spot on. I loved it! The selection of local, craft, beers here, is second to none and my selection of the Lily, Double IPA, couldn't have pleased me more. The staff was friendly, helpful and super efficient. One of my favorite places in Sandpoint, always a great, fun atmosphere and really uber-friendly people - it doesn't even matter if you don't know anyone when you walk in the door, when you leave you'll likely have some new friends. The selection of beers available, both on tap and in bottles, is almost overwhelming - if you can't find a beer (or a lot of them) that you like here, then there just must be something wrong with you, LOL! There's always something new to try, the staff are super-knowledgeable and happy to share what they know, and I love that you can buy just a single bottle of any of their beers to take home, rather than winding up with a 6-pack or more of a beer in your fridge that you're not wild about. IPA is a great place to get together with friends, enjoy a cold beer (and maybe take some home) and some live music......I highly recommend it to anyone. read more

She gave us multiple ideas, free tasters, and then effectively kept the frothy pints coming. They are also dog friendly! There were multiple chill pooches while we were there. With a beer selection that surpasses anything I've seen in Oregon--not to mention the glorious array of cheeses!--IPA is the best place to purchase beer, drink beer or gaze longingly at future beers. In addition to a diverse product, staff is charming and familial, making departure, that of extracting myself from conversation or simply a warm chair, a daily challenge. Vast selection of beers and ales, good service, and friendly folks. They have live music on a regular basis, and the place gets crowded. Go early and stay late, you won't regret it. read more

In search of a place to stop in and have a drink with some friends while walking around town, we found this place. We were pleasantly surprised to find all of the beer listed on the chalkboard was local or from breweries around the Pacific Northwest. IPA offers the widest selection of beer in town, complete with several taps and plenty of bottled beer too. Great atmosphere as well. Although I don't have much knowledge about beer myself this place inspired me to learn more about different kinds and how they are brewed. The bartender John was helpful in recommending beer and gave us each a few samples to try. I'll definitely be back, for research purposes of course read more
