    Sunset at the Orchard!
    Melisa S.

My husband and I drove to Spokane from our house in Lakeside AZ. We took our time getting up here and are taking our time going back. We boondock most of the time and figured we would just find a spot when we got here. Hah. There are NO NATIONAL FOREST areas anywhere near Spokane. So we started frantically looking for a spot. It's their season so virtually every rv park is booked. We have 3 dogs so we don't like traditional parks or campgrounds anyway. Somehow we found this gem. There's an app called Hipcamp that he downloaded. Bam it lead us here. And what a MAGNIFICENT place it is! Instructions are perfect, the place is so peaceful, we made some new friends and we are in heaven. Won't stay anywhere else when we come!

The orchard itself is beautiful, with rolling hills and plenty of trees for the perfect atmosphere. The fruit selection was great, with everything from apples to peaches to berries. The fact that this is a low/no spray farm made it even more enjoyable because I could feel confident knowing that whatever we brought home was healthy for our family. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, suggesting recipes and favorite combinations of fruits to make. They had samples available too so you could try before you buy - always a bonus. We purchased several different types of apples for pies, crisps, and snacks as well as some delicious jams and syrups. Overall it was a really pleasant experience and I'd highly recommend Hidden Acre Orchards to anyone looking for high-quality local produce without any of the harsh chemicals used in traditional farming practices. It's definitely worth checking out whenever you're in the area - you won't be disappointed!

I'm a sucker for local farms. Always have been and always will be. Free parking can be found in the dirt parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. There is a Donut Shop onsite that offers fresh mini donuts, popcorn, cotton candy and caramel apples. A sweet touch to any farm. Hidden Farms offers U-Pick apples, plums, pears and pumpkins. My sister and I were here for the apples. A variety of apples were available: Gala, Mac's, Fuji and Laura Reds.. We were both encouraged by the staff to sample the apples while picking to ensure that we went home happy with our choices. To encourage recycling, Hidden Farms offers $0.10 cents off per pound if one brings their own box/bag from home to load their picked produce in. Hidden Farms offers a small store stocking local wares such as: hand-made items, fresh produce, farm fresh eggs, jams/jellies, salsa's, pickles, etc... Farms are important. Be sure to support your local farms whenever you can. Thank you Hidden Acres for the fun-filled family day of picking sweet tasting apples.

This farm is adorable! Go pick your own apples! It's clean and friendly (except for the geese ) ! I'd recommend going on a weekday as the weekends create crazy traffic lines into the farm area.

Easily accessible from Spokane by car, Hidden Acres made for a memorable afternoon trip to go apple and pear picking. The process was simple (grab a box and go!). There were people there picking under 5 and others loading up box after box. There are two shops on the premise - one with food and ice cream, the other a general store with local items. I noticed a lot of families roaming the grounds and their kids were thoroughly entertained with the livestock wondering around.

This is our 1st time as guests at a Harvest Host & we love it here!! It's so peaceful, beautiful, with hosts that can't make anyone feel more welcome! Funny thing is, we're they're 1st guest & we've met other campers here in an Airstream & it's THEIR 1st time as H.H. guests! What a triple WOW!!!

I can only speak to the Peach Crumble Pie that I purchased this weekend. It was in a word "wondrous". If you like peach pie, you're doing yourself a disservice by not planning your trip to Hidden Acres this very moment.

They have a wonderful play area that includes a corn pit (like a sandbox but filled with corn kernels, the kids love it!), a fun hamster wheel they can run in, and a pallet maze that's pretty legit. There are also some friendly farm animals the kids can look at and pet, plus a plastic duck race that you have to pay for a duck to use. There are lots of food vendors with delicious options, I def recommend the baked potato... it's HUGE! The pumpkin patch itself is nice but if you're not in the mood to go hunting through the fields, they also have bins full of pumpkins ready to choose from. There was even a live performance, a bounce house, and a giant inflatable slide.. which is a hit with the kids as well! The orchards are beautiful and perfect for taking fall family pictures. They also have a store, they sell some amazing desserts! Service in the stores is great, they can get really busy, so there can be lines at times.

We looked online and saw that not only does he not use pesticides but he also has non-gmo produce which is very important to me. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner who took us out back and began to explain his growing techniques. I Love that he was playing music for his plants and his farm was so peaceful and beautiful and you can really taste the love he gives his plants. He explained how he works on planting companion flowers with his vegetables to keep the pests away and I thought that was an amazing natural way. We were then showed around by one of his helpers who was very helpful and nice (can't remember her name but she was awesome) The veggies we bought were the best I've ever had and we will definitely be going back again soon and all season long.

The cashier was kind enough to give us a tour of the different produce that was available at the farm. She recommended that we come back on a Tuesday morning for the most matured produce that's fresh picked (the farmer picks things on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday). She let us sample the broccoli and it was the best tasting broccoli I've ever had! There are no gimmicks at the farm, but that allowed them to focus more wholeheartedly on the quality of the food.
