There are lots of signs where you can purchase and pick berries. At the brewery itself it lives up to it's namesake as the brewery is in a barn. One side of the brewery is a stage and a fair amount of outdoor seating while on the other side is a sizeable parking lot which is good as this brings in a lot of people it seems. The inside of the barn is nice and roomy like a lot of these barn breweries are and even though it was busy it was spacious where everyone had some space. But now onto the beer! The Black Dog Stout was one of the three beers we had. This was a good, solid stout. It had coffee elements and sweetness in the flavor profile. The beer was smooth and creamy which is how a good stout should be as well as the hue which is nice and dark. The following beer really put us in a quandary as to which of the remaining two would be our favorite. The Bailar Con Maiz was the next beer we had and we were just thrilled to have it. Of course I am very partial to Mexican Lagers this one was excellent and one of the best ones I had in recent memory. This beer is malty, corn flavor, smooth and light bodied. The final beer was also excellent and I think had a slight edge over the Mexican Lager as it was so different and good. The Mead Honey Lager was the next one and it was so good and so unique! It had that mead essence going on due to the honey. The beer is sweet if that isn't obvious because of the Honey but not too much and has a dry flavor features at play. Also this beer is smooth and light bodied. The three beers we had we really enjoyed and hope to try out more Big Barn beer options in the future!

For 20 dollars, you can get a really thorough tasting of the wines they have to offer. I loved the 100% Merlot and the Cab Sauv. The server was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. You can sit inside or outside so it's really nifty. I also enjoyed the inside because they'll showcase local artists. Loved this Macau painting, but was sad they didn't have a print of it. I am visiting in Spokane, WA in the downtown area between 2nd and 3rd Ave. I went to get dinner and came back to the hotel and my Great Dane Oso, my world, was gone. This was at 9:30pm. The front desk agent said he heard people right in the area say they saw one so it's likely he opened the door and walked out of the hotel. No, I am not kidding. He knows how to open doors with handles and I didn't even consider the hotel door due to its weight. I am from TX on a road trip with just myself and my dog. He truly is my best friend. We had the fondue plate and I always believe apples and fondue go together best, so it was a favorite for me. However they used a tea light under the crafty little fondue plate and the candle kept going out, making the cheese hard. However, we were on the patio and it was windy and we still ate it all. The place has events for Working Women, with giveaways, tons of Cabernet choices and the owner is working right along his employees which is so refreshing!

Walking in, you are surrounded by a variety of fun decor that and warm fireplace (great for the cold winter!) that somehow meshes together. The owners, Heather and John are a delight. Bingo was super organized and well thought out. The board made it easy to follow and all supplies was provided. The drinks were great (outside food welcome!) and the regulars are a wonderful group of people.

We still got to taste and it was a pretty good deal $15 for five tastings, including a little cup of charcuterie. Everybody was really nice and they had music and the guy was pretty good. We tasted two white wines and two reds. We also got to have a barrel taste. I like the blend of Syrah so I bought a bottle and I bought a wine skin to put it in my luggage. All the wines were reasonably priced compared to some places in California. I found a jacket I really liked it was burgundy and black and they had one left 20% off. That was fantastic very nice of them. Great place to visit.

I thoroughly enjoyed the wine during the remainder of my trip. My regret - I wasn't able to stay and enjoy their beautiful winery and I won't have any more of their wine unless I go back. The beer selection is pretty unique and I had to take a moment to ponder what I wanted. In the end I got the Jalapeño Saison. It isn't too spicy hot at all but has an excellent peppery taste to it and was really enjoyable to drink. I went here by myself but Steve and I are planning to pass through Spokane again later this summer and this will be an essential stop for us. In fact it could be a stop we make each and every time we are in Spokane because I enjoyed the brewery that much.
