This is a gem in such a small town. It's a great hangout place. Roomy inside with a wonderful patio outside. The people were super friendly, the servers and locals alike. We had one family giving us great advice as to kid-friendly drinks on the menu, which sounded more like desserts. Both my kids just wanted plain diet soda. I kind of wished one of them had been the mood for the home-made root beer or cream soda with whipped cream. Sounded amazing. Of course, we were there for the flight. This place included all eight of their beers in the flight! And it was really well-priced. We really didn't want to drink that much but decided to splurge. I do like trying different beers, and it was a lot of fun to try eight from one place. Most of the beers weren't outstanding or too memorable, but they were all well-crafted. We really liked the stout. Definitely well worth more than one visit, but we were only in town overnight. read more

The Republic Brewery is great. This is a must stop when your Ferry County. They have 8 beers on tap, I had the Republic Pale which was awesome. The staff were dressed in German clothing for Octoberfest. They do a real good job with local events so join the activities for the day. They also have a mugs in the wall and ceiling for the regulars. No food but you can bring your own and kids are welcome until 7PM. Fantastic and cozy lil' brewery. My dog and I finished off a four beer sampler here (4oz samples are only $1), and all of the brew we tasted was agreeably quaffable. Intriguing furnishings abounded - vintage paperbacks, couches, mugs and steins on the ceiling, and "beer" water taps in the bathroom. I went here with my family. The bar is cute and nice and there's a back room for bands that play late at night. Minors can not go of course, but they can stay till 8:00 pm. I got my drink pretty quick maybe 2 minute wait. I wish there was more food options. We could order pizza and they'd bring it but I wish they had more sandwich options or burger options. My favorite drink (non alcoholic) was the vanilla cream, basically a cream soda. And the strawberry rhubarb. And an even better benefit, they have metal straws! My dad grew up in Republic and I recently took my wife on a road trip there to show her my roots. Not a lot has changed in this little logging town since my last visit 15 year prior. However, the RBC was a new addition downtown so we stopped in to check it out. Emily the owner and was also our bartender, she welcomed us in as through we were family. Her husband and business partner is the brew master and makes beer that is dangerously good and leaves you wanting "one more" glass. This place delivers the hospitality and experience you can only find in small town family business while offering brewed in-house beers with flavors that blow the doors off any brewery we have visited in our travels. All this makes the RBC a must stop if passing through Republic or just the reason for the trip, worth it. read more

Bummer part is that they cut me off after seven beers (four of them were 4oz) and I've been here for over five hours. First time I've left a bar totally sober in awhile. The beers and ciders of the Republic Brewing Company rival the best of any I've tried in Seattle or Spokane. The owners are young, friendly, and knowledgeable about their beers and are delighted to offer advice if you're unsure which beer to try. The brewery's seating includes an eclectic mix of sofas, picnic tables, and bar stools, which encourages mixing and mingling and a friendly party atmosphere.They also have charming outdoor seating in the beer garden located behind the beer hall. The brewery has a variety of excellent quality, reasonably priced beers and ciders, and I'm particularly fond of their Republic Pale (a standard on the menu). They often host live music events, so check their calendar on Facebook. On Fridays and Saturdays, if you want to drink while sitting down, arrive early; the place fills up quickly. The brewery doesn't serve food, but they do offer free peanuts, and they have no objections to you bringing and munching on your own favorite snacks. Don't worry, you're not going to starve. Republic Pizza Co (located directly behind the brewery on Keller St), Esther's Mexican (at the end of the block), and Freckles (next door to the south) will deliver to the brewery. You can also purchase gourmet sandwiches, soups, and entrees at the Ferry County Co-op located next door (to the north), and bring them with you to the brewery. I stopped in here to kill some time before my brother's high school graduation. I really didn't expect to find a microbrew place in the middle of nowhere. This place is still getting up and running and they only had a few beers on tap. Their brown ale was really good as was their mead. The building was an old fire station. They have a lot of old pictures and some throwbacks to the firefighting days. If you're near Republic and love beer, this is a place to go! read more

Favorite stop in sleepy Republic. A tasting board is a nice way to taste the brews, and the peanuts are complimentary. I love the space, from the old shuffleboard to the patio to the comfy green couch. There are plenty of books to look through while you hang out, too. read more

As a beer snob who has visited dozens of small breweries around WA state, I can report without hesitation that this little gem is a must stop in Republic. Their beer is excellent all across the board. Every last one. The owners are frequently behind the bar, are friendly, and are eager to discuss their beer with you. I love the local, casual vibe. Great job Republic Brewery! And as a post note, many MANY breweries across WA state do not allow children. That's neither unusual or inhibiting. Yeah...I'll keep the 5 star reviews rolling. What a nice, neat place. I swung by at about 3 on a Friday, and I felt pretty lame, because I think I was the only one who didn't know everyone else in the place. When I was there they had 8 brews on tap...7 of their own, and 1 cider made at a place in Winthrop, so still a fairly local product. I tried 3 beers...1 full pint of their Brown, and half-pints of their Irish-Style Red, and the Republic Pale. All three were good, and I wish I had had room to try the rest of their brews. They had a porter, two Weizen's, and a normal yellow lager that I didn't make it around too. Another thing that they had, and I LOVED was something they called a 'grunt'. Instead of a full 64 ounce Growler, it was a 32-ounce bottle you could get to go. Other places might have this too, but Republic is the first place I saw it, so I'm giving them full credit for the idea. Sometimes, even at my beer drinkingest, I've been known to have the last half of a growler go flat... Very cute place...it made me want to move to Republic. read more

We were traveling home to Seattle from a camping trip in Idaho when we drove through Republic, an undiscovered "gem" of an historic gold mining town. Even better was the discovery of this home-grown brewery, owned by husband and wife team, Billy and Emily. We make a point of stopping at breweries in our travels and this one can't be beat for authenticity, a welcoming and inclusive attitude, and just plain great beer (and this coming from a Seattle beer snob). As fate would have it, we've been drawn back to Republic many times and now consider Republic and its brewery as our second home. So many recreational opportunities to explore, and at the end of a day, the guarantee of a variety of truly terrific beers. Bring your own food from a handful of next-door restaurants (Freckle's BBQ is especially good), enjoy the sunshine streaming in the open door of this former fire house, and count yourself lucky if Billy has put on tap his amazing (high octane) Belgian. I try to stop in for a pint whenever I can. The Republic Pale is about as good as it gets. That said, there are always new beers on tap and the friendly employees are always happy to let you sample them. Peanuts are free, but it is fun to grab a snack from one of the local eateries to bring in. It is especially fun to go to the brewery when they have live music in the back patio. If you don't want a beer, there is usually homemade root beer or soda. This is, really, the place you don't want to miss when you visit Republic. read more

I recently had the pleasure of being "stuck" for an over night in Republic. My company had me there for a furniture install. Massive fires in the region meant no rooms available for my next stop, Omak. To make matters just a little bit worse cell service and internet were down , no big deal unless you depend on your debit card to eat.... and you only have a couple of bucks cash. One of the ladies at the office for the furniture install had told us about the brewery in town and highly suggested we check it out. In true small home town spirit she had arranged for my work partner and I to have a beer on her. BTW her name is Mindy, turns out she works at the Pub part time. okay this place. was just off the hook awesome, totally home town feel and best of all the porter was one of the best beers I've ever had. I can't explain the feeling as I walked in and was greeted by, I later found out, the owner who immediately recognised me from Mindy's description. we struck up a conversation and she directed me to an ATM that was working. cash problem solved. the evening just got better the longer I sat their the more I realized what a great place I was in. People came and went and go a person were down home friendly. most quickly recognized me as an outsider and introduced themselves. there was a little restaurant next door that delivered food to the pub totally great food wish I could remember the name. I also wish I had sampled the other 6 beers on tap but could not rip myself away from the porter. I have made a point of telling my biker buds of this awesome place and will be making a return soon. you do not want to miss this pub/brewery read more
