Two separate trips to Eleven Acres with two different experiences. First we went July 9, 2016 and were pleased to find several offerings to satisfy our two families of fours cravings of blueberries & raspberries. We had friends visiting from Australia who were very excited about picking, The weather was warm, it was a summer afternoon we got lots of natures sweet treats, even some honey. The check out process was pleasant and the prices seemed good. The second trip was part of our sons 18th birthday weekend today Saturday October 15. With our family members and his friends we ironically had 8 people again. The weather was very good to us as it threatened to rain but did not. We did not really have any interaction with anyone until we checked out purchasing $44.00 or approximately 137 pounds worth of pumpkins. No one was rude but they did not seem like they wanted to be there either? No smiles or thank yous. Then as we were leaving an older man driving a golf cart told my son, the birthday one, to get off the cart. Which is understandable and he did get out of the cart. But the man was glaring at us quite unpleasantly which we certainly did not think necessary and caused us to leave with that last impression. Maybe they are tired of people at their farm and on their property but my goodness when that is your business ya kinda need to be gracious. Unsure at this point if this will keep us away or not? I do love to see people who enjoy what they do.

Our family enjoyed exploring and picking out fresh fruit and veggies. The staff is always friendly and it's fun to explore.

$40 for this huge haul we picked. 30 peaches, 17 tomatoes, 2 boxes of green beans, and tons of blueberries and raspberries.

Their produce is fantastic. Easy no long lines, they are helpful and it's family run.

Good family atmosphere. Not much cheaper than a grocery store, but the experience is worth it. No dogs, no smoking, yes families. ;)

There is also public use bathrooms that aren't port a potties, in side stores that require patronage, or generally nonexistent like most outdoor farmers markets. Fresh flowers, produce, salsas, bread, baked goods, local brews/ciders, jewelry, artwork, and more is there to peruse. The market always has great variety but I go mainly for two things; Fetch Dog Bakery and Big Daddy's Honey. Occasionally I will partake at the Scone Ranger as well but it's the English toffee I'm perpetually out of luck on (they did say you can call the a few days before and say you are coming to the market and would like a certain flavor). Their other flavors are enticing too. My mother in law loves the orange cranberry. Fetch Dog Bakery is so adorable and if you weren't paying close enough attention to the little trailer, you'd think their delicious offerings were of the human variety. Granted, there are options for humans but it's intent is to be a great place to get really affordable and fresh treat options for your pets. Plus, their clientele (aka all kinds of dogs) is always fun to watch "shop". I usually get the 4 for $3 little flavored doggie bagels. Our dogs love them! Then I head down to Big Daddy's Honey and I get a jar of spun honey. If you've never had spun honey, I highly recommend it! It is the perfect companion to so many things; donuts, fry bread, biscuits, waffles, crepes, spoonful in tea, the list goes on and on. You just want to make sure to store correctly so it doesn't separate. My niece was a big big fan of the Lush Cotton Candy. It's customizable and every kid's confectionery dream. It that was big enough to share with her cousins but didn't because those were her chosen flavors and colors.

Seriously…read more I have so many things this summer that are on my bucket list and I am excited that this is something I get to do on Wednesdays. We are BLESSED. The market is a bustling situation in one of the most profound spots in the city. We get to watch the sun go down, eat delicious food, have amazing music in the background, see everyone you know, and SHOP LOCAL. I am yelling so much in this review because I am so happy with such an incredible, divine event for us in the summer. I will see you all there this summer! Hit me up if you are going and I will totally meet you! I left with 4 plants, a bottle of honey wine (YAAASS), chipotle caramel sauce, shared ice cream with my 5 year old and smiled the entire night. See you next week, promise. I am getting pizza. And probably more plants.
