Duncan Produce

I've been hoping for a service like Duncan's Produce in Spokane for a long time and am delighted to…read moresee this local food/grocery delivery service having success. you should know Duncan delivers LOTS more than just produce - lots of products across a variety of food categories - produce, dairy, meats, breads, etc With a name like Duncan produce, I had high expectations for fresh, affordable produce and a good variety to choose from, delivered to my door. I must say, they have exceeded my expectations all on of my criteria. Tons of super fresh cut / uncut options that are ready to cook, saving me time - bonus points. So far we've sampled most of what they offer, and have found everything from the berries to the romaine salad mix to the tomatoes, peppers, diced potatoes, carrots and more - super great (yes, they are super fresh & very reasonably priced=super great) Already we're finding some of their options better than the grocery store we normally order from - a few of our favorites so far: sourdough sandwich bread, all of the produce, and smoked/fully cooked rack of ribs are already family favorites. The Duncan team seems to be adding new items and offering the freshest products each week (we're on our 5th or 6th order now) - which keeps it interesting. And, after several large orders, each delivery has been 100% accurate, on time, and great quality. The delivery fee is pretty small, and is contactless if you choose - and it's easy to tip the driver during check out. Yes, they have 'specials' that are really good too - so for people that like sales, Duncan will give you several bargains each week. They are growing their offering for their new at home delivery service, and so far doing an awesome job.

The Spokane Farmer's Market - Green beans, onions, and broccoli from the market

Small... but fantastic local products. Our beautiful Spokane area has a pretty short growing…read moreseason but farmers bring out what's seasonal and fresh. They are complimented by local bakers, ranchers, flower stands and even often a puppy food truck. I really enjoy trying things that are unique - some lemon cucumbers and garlic flowers were in this weeks picks! Some of the reviews mention how small it is - indeed it is. But, having lived in much more densely populated areas, the Spokane metro area is comparatively tiny and where products are grown can sometimes be pretty far away. We are in the high desert after all. - this also makes for ups and downs with what's available and fresh. But that's the nature of living here!!!! So, many thanks to the farmers and their families who make the trek downtown. I for one very much appreciate the commitment and will be a regular.

A great little market close to downtown. We were only here for a few days so only got to…read moreexperience the Wednesday market. No candles, jewelry, crafts, or other stuff that permeates so many "farmer's markets." This is what a farmer's market should be. Lots of produce and baked goods. Tasty scones. Surprised by all the fresh, local grown produce. And a guy selling dried mushrooms of all kinds. We bought from all the vendors today. Purple potatoes, onions, carrots, broccoli, green beans, yellow zucchini, and dried mushrooms. I bet the Saturday market is even better. I notified Yelp to update the address as it still showed the old 5th Avenue location. We drove around for quite a while to find the market and glad we did.

An interesting store . . …read more Harvest Foods is hooked up with the same overhead corp as Rosauers, Super1Foods and Yokes and they have the same brands and many of the same items. The sales seem to be the same as well. However, the grocery selection is limited by the fact that . . . . . . Barney's Harvest Foods is also a True Value store! About 1/4-1/3 of the store has many of the more common items to be found in a hardware store. Strange and interesting! Advantages : No need to run down to the Sprague corridor for basic hardware or automotive stuff. They have many of the same items that I love at Super1Foods, my favorite grocery store. Disadvantages : limited in selection of hardware and grocery items. No Bakery and a very limited Produce section. Only basic hardware or automotive items are available . . . although they did have a nice selection of gloves, and I needed a bundle of light-weight ones!

Unfortunately, the store closed the USPS service on December 31, 2025. I strenuously object to losing that service. Many of your customers used that service for its efficiency and quick service rather than endure the inefficiency of the USPS 99206 post office on Sprague. Your customers used the Harvest Foods/Barney's service frequently. To close the post office counter is an extreme disservice to your customers.
