A must go in the fall! the best place to pick any and all types of apples, grapes, berries, flowers, etc. Super easy to grab a bucket, go picking and then pay at the shop in the front (which also has caramel apples and other goodies for sale!. The owners, especially Karen, are so sweet and friendly -- We learned all about how they make fresh apple cider every Thursday. The apples are delicious - I highly recommend the honey crisp. You can't go wrong!! What a fun experience. Amazing views as you're picking. Plus if you go across the street, they have incredible pumpkin donuts. read more

I just love the picture of the yellow raspberries. I bet they are just as good tasting as the red raspberries. I would like to make a fruit salad out of the yellow raspberries. As for Greenbluff, I dont get there too often, but I have always have a good time when I go there. I've been to the Apple Cider celebration. I had a good time too. The apples they raise there are just wonderful. I went to the peach festival too, and had a wonderful time. I think Greenbluff is a wonderful and productive area for Spokane. read more

So glad they were open on a Tuesday as so many orchards were closed. The lady running the place was so helpful in explaining the orchard and that was in season. Today they had gala and empire apples available. Both were much better than the big versions we see in our supermarkets and packed with flavor. They also had Italian plums for picking. My wife enjoyed picking ripe plumes right from the trees. We asked if they had red raspberries but they had passed their season. But she said the late golden raspberries were coming on and gave us directions to the bushes. They were so tasty fresh from the vines. They have a huge orchard and something is always in season. read more

The sweetest little u-pick apple orchard. They have homemade jams, honey and other treats. (Sometimes they have pies and cider but we're sold out when we were there. I'm taking that as a good sign, not a deterrent!) We bought a basket and for $5 extra dollars you can fill it with as many apples as you want. All the trees were labeled with tags. Wish we had started our trip here! Sweet guitar music playing and entrance to the ornate featured a perfect little garden and grape trellises. Absolutely romantic. read more

If you are looking for a genuine old-fashioned Green Bluff experience, then visit Hansen's Green Bluff Orchard and Christmas Trees; it's #14 on the map, and it's absolutely my favorite farm on the Bluff. The entire Hansen Family - Rod, Karen, and son Derrick - are some of the nicest and hardest working people I've ever meet. They have amazing fruit - cherries, peaches, prunes, apples:) Just wait till you try their homemade CIDER:) They have this cool small old barn they converted into a little store - they have their cider press in the back which looks like an old antique. The parents hand weave rugs in the Winter and sell them in their store along with kitchen-y type items and gifts. During Apple Festival, you'll want to check out their homemade applesauce (chunky-yummy) and pastries and such - and again that amazing cider! There's also a flower garden for u-pick! They recently took over a Christmas Tree Farm from an old-time Green Bluff family that retired from the business. Although they have Big Beautiful firs and spruces (and homemade wreaths), I set my sights on a tabletop-sized tree I needed for a display. It had a "C.B." tag on it - when I asked what it meant, Derrick laughed and said that stood for "Charlie Brown" tree. So much for my taste in firs;) Anyway, if you want a Genuine Green Bluff experience - the warm friendly way that it used to be many years ago, I suggest you visit the Hansens and their Wonderful Family Farm! This place is the best! We discovered Hansen's Orchard a couple of years ago when we were searching for a Christmas tree farm up on Greenbluff and have been loyal customers there ever since. I can't say enough good about the selection of trees -- plus the friendliness and helpfulness of the people who own the place and work there is outstanding.
