MickDuff's is a great spot to visit in Sandpoint. While we've had their beer locally in Spokane before we wanted to go check them out in person. They have a great beer selection and limited releases in the tap room. Over all, a great experience and the outdoor sitting was really nice to enjoy.

Great beer! And free organic popcorn with a bunch of toppings! Plus corn hole and a nice outdoor area. Can't be beat! Love it!

Great place to enjoy good beer. You can bring your own food. Sometimes they have a good cart outside. We stopped by after a day of skiing. I'm a fan of their Lupulicious IPA and the Chocolate Milk Stout. Just stop by and try some.

We were visiting Sandpoint just as Covid-19 restrictions were being eased. On a Friday night we were riding bikes around the town and happened upon Mick Duff's beer hall. They were setting up for some live music outside so we decided to stay around. Inside there are only a few high top tables and some seats at the bar but obviously they had removed some seating for social distancing. We ordered several of the different beers: Pete's ale, which is light and easy drinking; Knot Tree Porter which was very nice; and also the River Bender hoppy lager. I finally settled on the English Ale for the rest of the night. All beers were good and we enjoyed ourselves. The music was a one man country singer who was obviously local and had brought a following. The crowd began to swell and get a bit excited to dance together, as we have all been cooped up for so long. The manager came out and addressed the crowd to ask us all to maintain social distancing and only dance by our table, and not create a crowded dance floor. It made us feel good that they were trying to enforce good health practices. For the most part people were trying to distance although nobody wore masks (someone needs to invent a mask that can be worn while drinking a pint of beer). We enjoyed the evening and will go back before we head away from Sandpoint. Thank you!

Bummed bc we were told it would be a 20 minute wait and it was over 60. Felt for the hostess, she was alone. Food was good.

Well, turns out it is no longer a coffee house, except that they do serve drip coffee, but I was told that they used to. However, the inside is warm and cozy With a touch of dive and a ceiling full of tchotchkes. It looks pretty cool. Despite looking like a dive bar, kids are welcome and the server was very warm and friendly. We were only there for an appetizer and a drink while waiting for our Thai food to-go order to be cooked around the corner with a 45 minute wait. The four of us ordered the Caesar salad and my son, the chicken strips. We were in for the surprise of our life. We discovered the best Caesar salad ever made. Ever. I'm not sure how they do it, but it was so delicious we all said we'd come back just for that salad. My son reports that the chicken strips were also really good. We just never would have expected the great quality of food we were served here in this "dive bar". The beers we had were also really good. I unfortunately do not recall the names, but my wife, oldest daughter and I all loved our drinks. We are so glad we ducked in here on a cold night. It made for a type of progressive dinner and we discovered something exciting that we look forward to returning to.

Sweet Lou's was actually down the street and it had some foods that sounded really good. I was seated immediately and my waiter Elijah got my drink order. I asked him what he recommended and he mentioned the Tailgate Eggrolls and a burger. But I was really craving a steak and he said they had a special on prime rib. I'm a huge steak lover, especially prime ribs so I opted for that with the Tailgate Eggrolls. I suppose I was hungrier than I thought after a long day and I ate everything. The 5 Tailgate Eggrolls, a Caesar Salad (not pictured), the prime rib, and a cup of Vegetable Beef soup. The eggrolls were filled with cream cheese, jalapeños, cheese and served with a jalapeño pepper jelly. If you love cream cheese, this appetizer for you. I like crab rangoon, I like jalapeño poppers, and now I like these egg rolls. The Caesar salad was great. Fresh romaine, crunchy seasoned croutons, shredded Parmesan cheese, and fresh cracked pepper. The star of the show was the prime rib. I've had many prime ribs, rib roasts, beef roasts in my life big I've never had one smoked, which was a detail I missed when Elijah was telling me about it. Let me tell you, the smoke flavor was infused with the meat and the seasoning on the prime rib was superb. The addition of BOTH horseradish and aus jus is a nice touch. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Last but not least, the vegetable beef soup was chock full of celery, potatoes, and huge chunks of beef. Hearty and delicious indeed. If you're living here, then I'm jealous Sweet Lou's is here for you. If your visiting, pay Sweet Lou's a visit. Elijah is a fantastic server!
