The food hits the spot, the views are unbeatable, and the atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming. I come up from Texas to visit my parents and this place is a non negotiable stop! Captain's Table has been around for years and is always a good time when you stop by. This Lake Pend Oreille staple serves elevated bar food with quality ingredients. Highly recommend a cheese burger, a patty melt or the taco salad. The salad dressings are homemade along with the chips for the taco salad. You can standard bar drinks and beer on tap. The owner, Mary, is a firecracker and provides excellent service, even when understaffed. Very thankful for the Captains Table! We called for a large last minute carry-out with no menu to look at. The gentleman who answered the phone was so nice and happy to offer suggestions of quesadillas, cheese curds, and chicken wings. We ordered A LOT. They even stayed open a little later to finish it. When we went to pick the food up, they made sure to check every box and included plenty of ranch and salsa. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The wings were great!!!! Highly recommend. Soo much food came with each meal. If you are down by the lake, be sure to check this place out and support this business. We will be back! read more

The Master burger is the best burger I've ever had in my life and there really isn't a close second. The staff are very friendly. It's was really cool to see all the pictures of people who caught giant fish in lake Pend Oreille throughout the years on the walls. read more

Mary is amazing. Eight of us showed up for dinner, and Mary did everything but the cooking. She took our drink orders right away and then as the bartender went and made our orders. She took our food order and had such a wonderful attitude about doing everything herself. They smoke their own meat there and the Ruben is the best. Always a fun place to visit. Mary is always a kick and makes going there fun. The food today was really good. Fish and chips were perfectly cooked and tasty. The cheeseburger was great too. Don't expect a fine dining experience but do expect a fun dining experience. We started our summer at the Captn's Table and felt it fitting to end it there too. If you're looking for fine dining this is not your place. If you're looking for genuinely good food, you found it. Mary, the owner, hostess, bartender, server, greeter and heaven knows what else, always has a smile and a kind word. The food, not pretentious, is carefully prepared. The portions generous and the prices quite reasonable. There's usually an interesting mix of old time locals and visitors in the bar or the dining area. Garfield Bay, Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho: they upgraded their boat docks with treck ... very nice. This place is isolated and it's fun to visit. Typical coffee shop food (for lunch). But when you are vacation it suddenly becomes special. Keep you eye on the lake however and know when to leave before a storm comes in ... the water can become very rough! read more
