The Squeeze Inn is a special little spot where every drink and meal is cooked with LOVE. We've come here once or twice a summer for the last decade and have never been disappointed. The stuffed mushrooms are decadent little buttons and I think about the basque garlic soup and salad often in the months we are away. Last night we had a caipirinha that took me straight back to the beaches of Rio, and three Pisco Sours that were so smooth and foamy I could have sworn we were in Peru... not to mention the always amazing fresh bread and three terrific lamb chops. While I love to support small town businesses & have had decent meals here - overall they need to clean up their restaurant. And please please WASH your aprons. We can tell the difference between washed & stained vs. unwashed & filthy. I picture bare hands going into the food as it's prepared. It's cute but can have a lot of bugs/wasps outside. They are rather pricey for no view & traffic noise. Food can be hit or miss - I wonder the freshness of some of the more unusual dishes - how often are they ordered or how long are they frozen? The HUGE downside for me is the owner attempting to leave reviews. Beyond bad form. 3 reviews removed by Yelp and 1 "not recommended". This is one of our favorite places to go when we're in town. The family owned restaurant is quaint, and all of the amazing dishes are served with a smile! Most entrees come with a soup and basque type salad (meaning there's beans you can add the wonderful vinaigrette salad) and the bread is always warm and the olive oil/balsamic for dipping pairs well. Don't miss out on the seasonal blueberry margaritas. They are wayyy better than they sound. 10/10 read more

I. can't. even. Verbalize. How. Comically. Terrible. This. Place. Is. Out of: calamari app, bread, mahi, butter, and salt... to begin with... Service was comically bad. Kind.... But comically terrible. I have no HOLY idea how this place has one, let alone has 24 5 star reviews... You can choose between seafood, tacos, pizza, curry, and pastas... HOWEVER, I don't recommend anything we had. This includes the bread that they ran out of before they able beside us, the salad which was the CRUNCHIEST salad I've ever had and it only consisted of lettuce , tomato, onion, oil & vinegar and salt and pepper, the curry-ish soup, the pizza, the elk ravioli and the tacos. My recommendation is that the place chooses something to specialize in something other than trying to be unique... and figuring out how to be good at it.. rather than being sub standard in any. My all around favorite restaurant is this wonderful place in Clark Fork with the most amazing menu and chef! There are options for fine dining as well as the best tacos and enchilada we've ever had. We love the pizza (made exactly to order) and the shrimp curry and seafood specials. They serve soup and salad and it's always fantastic! This place is a cool little find, especially for a place like Clark Fork Idaho. We like their food a lot but the service was a little lacking and very weird, kind of like this was their first week that they had been operating and I know they've been open for a Long time. Our server was the owner and she is a very eclectic person and a very nice person. Food was good, patio is kind of cool though a little funky as is the whole place - funky. We ordered calamari as an appetizer and never got it. My scallops were really good and I would go back for those for sure in that it was a very nice portion and of good quality. My wife's pasta was decent though not something you would go out of your way to get. We enjoyed our experience there and it was great in that we were able to have our dog on the patio. read more

I loved everything about Squeezed Inn! The food blew me away. Everything we had was so good. It honestly felt like it was made just for us instead of just a reheated generic meal from a chain restaurant. It seems like the menu changes based on the season and local fresh ingredients. We went to Squeeze Inn last night for dinner. A previous review mentioned the pear huckleberry pie so we had to give it a try. My husband had the elk/Buffalo ravioli, I had the wild salmon and both were delicious. The pie did not disappoint and we left stuffed and happy. What a gem in this small town. This place is really special, don't miss it. We arrived at 3:10 on a Wednesday afternoon and had the place to ourselves. The owner who is also the cook was extremely friendly and welcoming. We sat in their lovely garden with our dog, sipped on a glass of wine and listened to beautiful old Italian music while we waited for our food. The food came out quick and as they had just opened the chef was also our server, but she never seemed overwhelmed, you can tell she knows what she is doing! First soup and salad were brought out, the salad was fresh and the soup fantastic. For my main course I had the puttanesca and my boyfriend had the Louisiana sausage with shrimp, mussels and clams. Both meals were delicious. Next time we drive through we will be back for sure! read more

I really had higher hopes for this place. We researched it and the high number of 5 star reviews was impressive. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and happened to be the only ones there on 1-1-22 at that time. We had the Rib eye and the Veal Marsala and my wife couldn't even eat the veal or the noodles. They had a very off-putting smell and the flavor was horrible. My Rib eye, I ordered Pittsburg style. They seemed to know what that style was but it came out not seared, barely marked on one side and not even mares on the other. I did ask them to sear it a bit more but it was just not a good cut nor a good preparation. I would have given this a much lower rating but I'm in hopes this was just a bad night and we were the unlucky ones. I wish I could say I'd try it again, but for the price and the huge oversight in flavors, technique and presentation we will not return. I'm not suggesting that you should not try this place, the many people who found their food "amazing" cannot be all wrong, can they ? My wife and I stopped by for the first time a few years ago. We were very pleasantly surprised by their friendly staff and warm atmosphere. Our expectations were exceeded when the meal arrived! Excellent food which keeps us coming back for special occasions. If you are there in the warmer months the backyard patios is definitely the place to sit and eat. read more

We had eaten breakfast here last year a couple of times which was very good and so we decided to go there last night for date night. They were not officially opening until the following night ( they close for the winter); but as they were there and working on their new menu we were welcomed in. This is family run, the daughters cook, serve and the mother is a wonderful host, with great stories. The soup and salad that come with the entree, come family style; which makes it fun to serve yourselves from the one bowl. Everything is freshly made and my Ravioli was very good. My daughter and I ate here during a recent motorcycle trip We didn't expect to find a place like this in a relatively remote area. It was a very, very pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is funky but nice, and it was nice and clean. Dinner started with a fabulous home made tomato bread, followed by salad and soup which were also very good. They feature different ethnic food nightly. I tried the Moroccan and it was well prepared and delicious. My daughter tried the enchilada and taco combo and it was also very good. The service was fast and friendly, and our waitress was charming and engaging. I am going to make it a point to eat here again. Highly recommended if you are in the area. read more

If it was possible to give more than 5 stars I would. While I have not traveled out of the states, my parents have traveled from San Francisco, La, Paris, Hong Kong, and in dozens of Zagats and Michelin rated restaurant, and the Squeeze Inn is among the best restaurants in the world. The chef is truly a culinary genius, and you can taste her knowledge, skill, and passion in ever meal. No place I have ever been has such a wide range of cuisines, and all of them perfection. At one table in one meal you can have the best Thai, Mexican, Indian, Vietnamese, and American cuisine, surpassing any meal from a restaurant dedicated to only one cuisine. From the outside you see a quirky and colorful spot, and the large letters advertising "gourmet" does not come close to preparing you for the true quality waiting for your palate. We particularly enjoy the calamari, any curry special, any pizza (the chicken tikka masala pizza is truly a masterpiece), and the enchilada the best any of us has had in the world. All of this is serves along side family style salad AND a daily scrumptious soup. The prices are not low, but for the size and quality of the plates, it is an amazing deal. We are all waiting in anticipation for the elk ravioli we have heard so much about. read more

Both servers acted like owners -- no fake friendliness just apparently genuine interest in getting things right. I have no idea how the parking lot can stay so full on a regular basis. This place came highly recommended, however our experience was nothing I would recommend to anyone. The service was decent. The soup was really good. My wife ordered a lemon drop cocktail which sure said was good. That's where it ended. The salad had so much dressing it was pooled up at the bottom of the serving dish. I ordered a "top shelf" margarita. For the price it should at least have fresh squeezed limes, not margarita mix. The calamari appetizer was drastically overcooked. Some of it was like chewing rubber. Some of it was like chewing burnt rubber. Our streak arrived with cold mashed potatoes and undercooked brussel sprouts. I couldn't eat either one. The steak was not a good cut of meat and had no char on either side. It was drastically undercooked and not cooked evenly. It was quite difficult to cut the connective tissue from the meat. Partly because it was just a bad cut of meat and partly because the knife was incapable of cutting anything, which continually bent the cheap fork trying to hold the meat in place. I hate to leave such a bad review but my experience was terrible. The prices are quite high for such low quality food. It seems like there is no effort being put into the food preparation. I'm glad they are staying busy, but sadly I won't be returning. read more

Excellent find in such a beautiful rural area. Took a drive along Bull Creek to see the autumn colors and couldn't have been happier to end up at the Clark Fork Lodge. Shot down here for a drink but ended up having a plate of the irresistible homemade ravioli. A comfortable, home cooking joint with a small dining area. Dimly lit with unique decor and hand painted art everywhere that meets the eye. Only regret was that I had no room for dessert. read more

Well worth foregoing the tourist madness of Sandpoint for this hidden delight about half an hour on around the lake. We arrived on a Saturday for Basque Night and were overwhelmed with the pure awesomeness of the flavor and variety of the food. My 2 nieces are vegan. Called the night before to be sure they would have options. Chef was very accommodating. The variety of food is amazing. I had seafood pasta, while others had baked chicken, Indian curry, mushroom risotto, and pizza. They had a wide selection of beer and wine.
