This is a nice place to spend the afternoon after doing a lot of driving. Great view of Hope Bay. Since it was hot, the staff put up a ton of umbrellas to keep things cool and shady. We did 2 rounds of drinks and appetizers. The only downside- the Fried calamari. Big, chunky, chewy pieces. They did have a nice balsamic drizzle(but way too much- almost like soup on the bottom) and sliced pepperocinis. The Prosciutto wrapped cantaloupe was a much better choice. Sweet and salty is a great combination. We saw someone get an order of the shrimp and maybe we'll do that next time. The Ginger Pear Cocktail and Lime Coconut Cocktail were really good. The food was good not the best I ever had but it was good. We went during dinner which is a little more expensive but my view was incredible. I was first put off when I walked in by the server that greeted me rudely in a super tight mini dress I don't know how you can possibly even serve and something that tight or short. I however had the sweetest, pretty and appropriate server named Megan. I love the level of respect she has for herself and her job. She was great knew the specials and the drafts on the top of her head. The service and view give it 5 stars. It is a little expensive for dinner but I understand that this is a seasonal restaurant so I understand the cause they're only customers come from campsite.also if you are there on a busy weekend make sure to make a reservation. read more

I went during lunch, so I can't speak for the dinner menu. First off this place is beautiful! Plenty of dock space to pull up on your boat and well worth it on a nice summer day. Get a seat outside if you can. The view of the lake is fantastic, really it is about where you are more than the meal itself. The food was good, I wouldn't brag about nor complain about it. The lunch menu I would call high quality bar food, burgers, etc. They have a huckleberry lemonade that is amazing! You can get it in a mixed drink or as a cocktail, either way it is a must try. We were lucky to stop at his place, the lake and the view were amazing. As a seasonal restaurant, the food is a little pricey but we were willing to support. There is no where else to eat if you are at the beach/marina at beyond hope resort. The service is below average, especially for the price. We were told we couldn't have more bread, 5 people on one serving. The waitress, Sara (h) came around more frequently when the check was due, she checked the bill before clearing plates or asking about to go boxes. I felt like a nuisance to the servers here. First, let me say I'm going to give this place a HUGE pass. We visited on the tail end of a Holiday weekend and I'm sure everyone was exhausted. Second, I'm going to start with the good -- great location. Lots of boat friendly moorage. Super view and very nice patio. Cold beer. Wait staff generally trying to be nice. Food - decent. Second, I do have a beef. I'm all for restaurants setting their own policies regarding dogs on outdoor patios. Some permit it. Some don't. I try to patronize those that do. First, you can't beat the view! The restaurant and bar is smack dab on a west view if the lake. When we were there on Saturday at 5pm it was a bar with a restaurant. The fried calamari was thick, tender and lightly fried...gone in minutes. My salad with spring mix avocado, bacon, blue cheese and olives with balsamic vinaigrette was darn good as well. Wait...last bite of my salad and ingot a hair in my mouth, not mine. Now my half slab of ribs, spice and tang with tender meat as well as great quantity Ok, great, the 15 some liquefied parents at the bar left as well as the obnoxious group at the table next to us (swearing, intoxicated and one an ankle monitor on) left. Peace at last to enjoy the good service, view and food. Definitely a good choice for the dining short area, yet the raucous visitors made us a little uneasy with our teens. read more

Took out the boat with 8 of my friends and all sat down for drinks and food. The server was great at first and super nice. He took out order -- mine was a simple burger with fries. He asked if I wanted it cooked to medium and I said yes. About 15 minutes go by and our food starts coming out, all except mine. I get it. I too am a server; simple mistake. I ask him if he forgot my burger and he said no, then asked what I got. I told him and he explained that he forgot and I asked him to just make it to go. He brought out the tab shortly after and we realized he didn't separate the tab. He became very annoyed and said "well isn't this just great". Being a server myself, I always separate the tab individually unless i am told not to or if I have already asked whether the check would be split or not. We all asked him to separate it out. He came back with checks that were all completely wrong. We explained who had what and he said he'd fix it. Still wrong. A friend of mine offered to help him and was told by the server to leave -- to just take our cards and go. Long story short, we didn't pay for our meal. If you're going for the view, I'd say yes. Expensive for what is offered. Rv sites $60.00 don't have full hook-ups. They charge $35.00 to pump tanks. They charge $5.00 a day for wifi. The beach and marina area is covered in dog poop. Totally disgusting! For the upper rv sites they only offer port-a-potty. Really disappointed and won't be back. read more

Our first visit to the area. The location and views are great. The servers were very nice and attentive. We went for an appetizer and drinks and sat outside. The food we had was tasty and creatively plated. It was a very warm day, sun was blazing. The staff were diligently moving portable umbrellas around to provide shade for the patrons while trying to manage a full bar, restaurant and patio. A patio cover would make this place a 5 on a hot summer day. read more

The view is amazing for sure. There were 6 of us and one meal was really good (the ribs), meaty and tender, well cooked and well sauced, but the rest of us were disappointed. The linguine was supposed to have seafood but had a total of 3 fairly small shrimp and 1 clam? The airline cut chicken (pollo amalfi) was average with a too sweet sauce and had a texture of having been kept in a warmer. The service was good but the caprese salad wasn't caprese salad as we knew it. It was greens, with avocado tomato and one chunk of mozerella topped with Parmesan cheese. I had an amazing piece of cod topped with perfectly cooked shrimp. I forget what the dish was called, but I can't get that shrimp off my mind. The flavors were well balanced, the texture was spot on, and cooked perfectly. My friend ordered steak and was also very pleased. They have a very good cocktail menu and excellent mixologist.
