Visited Wood Coffee recently and had quite the experience with the service. The barista's way of handling things was, let's say,... definitely memorable. If you're into guessing how your order will go or enjoy a little mystery in your coffee run, this place might be just for you. Otherwise, I'd keep your expectations in check! read more

I absolutely love this Woods location! Everyone is always fantastic, but I wanted to give a special shout out to Mikey for really amazing service! That man deserves a raise! read more

Friendliest, most welcoming coffee place in the area! Nice variety of goodies to go with your hot or cold beverage. But my favorite thing about this woods is the design! Love the super cozy and private spaces here! read more

Great stop, nice upstairs seating to work, bathroom was clean! Friendly service!! Burritos really small should be called burrito bites - but tasted fine read more

Woods Coffee - Inside - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Ferndale, Washington

Checked out one of these stores for the first time and had an enjoyable experience. Good vibe, good coffee, and friendly staff.

Very cute, would be a great place to study. I got the huckleberry lemonade rush. Quick friendly service, I met a friend and we enjoyed sitting by the fire place! read more

This coffee is not only delicious but the Ferndale staff are always friendly! Keep in mind not all Woods locations have amazing staff ( Blaine :( ) , Ferndale location does ! Highly recommend the Cookies too !! Yum !!! read more

I've enjoyed Woods coffee since the first sip. Not too sweet. Pastries and breakfasts are good. The crew is polite and friendly. Nice ambiance inside, feels comfy and PNW. read more

Unfriendly staff in the mornings. I was in the search for a place to do some catching up work in the mornings. I decided to try woods instead of its competitor across the street. It takes a lot to get a good morning from some of the staff yet alone to place my simple order. This happened twice before and this morning. I understand the drive through is important but I don't feel valued as a customer walking in to this place. No more woods for me. read more

First time at woods, the front gal Lea who helped me out was super friendly and the service was great! Will be back!

2.5* Coffee Flavor Profile 3.5* Interior/Exterior decor & Cleanliness 5* Service My preference is Star*ucks for their strong brew with clean espresso or french robust flavor profile. This tastes like Stumptown, very fruity, medium dark viscosity, nutty, with lingering bitter aftertaste. Nice open courtyard for pooches to hang, with 2 way Fred Flintsone pebble rock fireplace leading to knotty pine ceiling and wainscoting, concrete floor indoors. GN restrooms for all. Service is great. Located in half vacant Birch Bay Mall with a local Thriftway type grocery, a Bass and Bali store off freeway, has a drive thru, and quite busy on a Monday 2pm, got last table available. Pastries are spendy, $4 average, Cinny roll 4.25 small muffin 4.25, and 3.25 for a small 2.5" scone, $3.85 20oz 3 shot Americano. read more

Love Woods Coffee, reminds me of the Dietrich Coffee on the east coast. Great food also, my go to!!

Great breakfast burrito and comes with hot sauce if you like. The Misto was spot on. Great service from friendly staff. Close to interstate. read more

The cutest Bellingham coffee shop. Right above the water, the patio and views are amazing. I also love the two way fireplace (so whether inside or outside you'll be warm enough). read more

Fantastic breakfast for my group at the office, and way better coffee than any Starbucks I've had since they existed living in Seattle!

Best London Fog around. Always great service. Fast drive-thru. Monster Cookies are amazing!

What a great experience! Not only did the barista offer me a free refill but also they support local law enforcement! read more

Woods Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Ferndale, Washington

Great little local spot. I love that they had gluten free biscuits and oat milk. Definitely vegan friendly.

Not wearing masks right. Came thru yesterday and the barista had it barely over her mouth. I asked for water and it tasted like bleach. This place is a joke. First time I came through (last month) I asked for their smoothie and it had paper towel in it. I'll stick with Starbucks. read more

Love Woods Coffee!~ Service is always great and friendly, and the coffee good. They offer a delicious Almond Crescent that is a must buy.... read more

Again, with options of this place, and Big Foot, why would ANYONE go to Starbucks? Woods offers excellent drinks, and fast and friendly service, even the drive through goes fast! The drinks no matter what you get will satisfy you're thirst! I do agree with Melody though, the parking here is very limited, specially when they are busy- at that point you most certainly would want to go through the drive through! Overall, would highly recommend this place! read more

It's hard to give a 4-stars to coffee cafes, but this is more than just a cafe. Definitely date-worthy material lol, as it's quite the ski-lodge decor. Lots of great seating, but none as good as the fireplace and lounge comffy chairs on the right when you first enter in. but if you want a view, there's a 2nd level ;) Obviously, very high ceilings. Kinda stumbled upon this after slurping on my dreadful Sonic chocolate milkshake. read more

This is a great place to meet with friends in Ferndale. I perfer their coffee to Starbucks. I'm an iced coffee drinker and I like that they ask before just topping the drink with whipped cream (lactose intolerance sucks). The ambience is cozy and I like the multiple levels. My only complaint is the lack of parking and the poorly designed drive thru. Actually that whole strip mall and it's parking lot are horrible. read more

The breakfast cookie is the perfect first meal of the day. Not sure what was in it but was nourishing and healthy tasting. Woods is a chain a little more chill than Starbucks. It's more of an original style coffee house with couches and low tables, but service is still good and quick enough. read more

Good: -Two (yes 2) stories! makes it a great study place, but because of this its usually full up stairs especially after high school hours. -Ample Parking -Great Coffee -Wonderfull and inviting vibe with all the wood and nature-ness -Free Wi-Fi -Attractive Bursitis ;) Bad: -Noting, Nada, zilch, zippo, jack, bumpkiss! read more

I Suggested that My Bike group stop here on the way to Bellingham. When i was at the till to place my order I asked the price of trail mix and the cashier just assumed the sale and when I declined she gave me the ice-queen treatment for the rest of transaction. Also Wood's WI-FI check-in process is both cumbersome and only partially functional. The coffee was fine and the place conformable but for my next visit to Ferndale i be keeping my coffee options open. read more

This is a Bellingham area chain and gives any tourist the PNW feel with their coffee shops like a log cabin. The coffee is decent as is the food and they have free wifi with more than enough seating of all kinds. read more

It's nice to frequent a coffee joint that isn't the Giant Green Siren. This specific location was a bit hard to find. It's visible from the highway, but that is actually the far side of a strip-mall-type shopping complex. When you exit the I5, you're taken to the opposite side of the complex. The staff were friendly, but as a walk-in customer I was practically ignored (they were all on their headsets taking drive-thru orders). However, once I had someone's attention, they answered all my questions. None of the food in the display case was labelled/priced. I got this cheese twist with spinach and artichoke. They offered to heat it up and it was a good thing they did. It was so dry, I don't think I could have chewed it cold. Coffee was tasty. I got an Americano, and when I asked for soy they passed me the carton which was nice. They also answered my questions about the beans for sale (which also didn't have prices). Overall, a good alternative to Starbucks. I would definitely go back--and they have several locations in the area. read more

Good food and coffee, and excellent service! I had a caramel cappuccino and the sausage and egg sandwich which were both quite good. The restaurant is beautiful with good energy, a good vibe, and lots of sunlight. It was a chilly morning so I sat by the fireplace in the big comfy chairs. But it is the smiling faces and excellent service that make it five stars. Thank you Kendra! read more

Woods Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Ferndale, Washington

Nice friendly stuff. Frappe was good. Iced tea was not cold and bathroom was a little messy. Inside of the store was clean and nice.

Great service! There Almond pastry is really tasty! Reminds me of the Galette des rois :) ! We also tried the veggie wrap, very nice with eggs, spinach and bell pepper, I recommend. The ambiance inside is very cosy, there is a separate area for anyone who wants to work read more

Better than average (starbuck type) coffee. One of the only sit down coffeehouse locations in Ferndale. Great big fireplace and comfy sofa's. The staff continues to provide lovely smiles, humor and consistent quality. Drive thru window is not as user friendly. Difficult to use and not big truck friendly. Parking can be an issue at times too. read more

Love this place waaaaay better than star bucks!! The seating is more comfortable, they have couches to relax on. Not overly crowded at this one in Ferndale. Doesn't feel like corporate coffee shops. read more

On the menu: Soy chai tea latte + zucchini loaf. We also snacked a bit on the parental's bear claw. Such a delightful pitstop on the way to Vancouver B.C. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy with a wood cabin feel. The drink sizes were all different trees so I thought that was cute. Workers are all very friendly. The baked goods are made fresh daily and it shows. The zucchini loaf had subtle flavor but very moist. We all RAVED over the bearclaw though. It had very distinct almond flavor and had a surprising balance of being flaky on the outside while still maintaining a moist and velvety center. One of the best treats I have ever gotten from a coffee shop. Our chai teas were better than warm milk but nothing to write home about. The parents are quite critical of coffee and really enjoyed their drinks. Overall, a resounding 5 tiny spoons for Woods!!! read more

Woods Coffee - Soy chai latte and zucchini loaf - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Ferndale, Washington

We've been coming to this Woods about once a week, sometimes twice, as an alternative to our friend's preference for Starbucks (he likes Woods too). I always get a misto at 140 degrees, and they make it perfectly. And don't get me started on their bagels - made in their own bakery in Lynden! But special kudos go to Samantha today, who remembered not only my usual order, but my husband's too - even though, as I said above, we only come here about once a week! Way to go Samantha! read more

The coffee is delicious and I have never been disappointed with the customer service. I am always greeted with a smile and patience. I would definitely recommend. I don't understand why anyone would choose this over Starbucks especially when Starbucks has questionable views on some political issues. read more

The girls here are SO wonderful! The upstairs space is a great area to take full advantage of all of the great light the cafe gets. Woods just added a veggie Mediterranean breakfast sandwich so they now have me even more sold than before! I do wish they had a few gluten-free breakfast options (not just the brownies) but I'll keep my fingers crossed! read more

Friendly service and great coffee. Coffee was strong but not bitter or our pungent. Plus, they even heated our pumpkin bread and cranberry scone. Both were extremely tasty. Pumpkin bread nicely spiced and not overly sweet. Starbucks had quite a rival here! When are you coming to AZ? read more

Traveling from Vancouver back to JBLM WA area and had to stop and fill up for gas, found this on yelp and it was worth the turn. Indeed it is lodge style decorated, from bear designed coffee products, to slabs of wood tables, wild fresh flowers, and tree hugging mirrors, this is definitely a cozy spot. A few gamers were playing cards in a separate room that was oh so nicely decorated with wheel sliding door for an entrance and comfy seating. There is an upstairs so you can come here and perch for a bit. I'd hope that others who live nearby take advantage of this cute place, even if some of you don't like coffee you can relax here, read, listen to music. I only had the tea but they provide a written description of their varieties to help you choose your non coffee type of drinks. read more
