They are able to find parts and repair a lawnmower. However, the customer service and timeliness is in need of serious repair.

I called Pegs to install mulching blade kit on my Craftsman ride on mower that I had purchased with…read morethe mower. They picked up the mower and called me several days later to tell me that the blades were wrong. I could not return them because I had them too long so they ordered me blades. I also received an email asking if I wanted a tune-up on the mower. I did not respond because I already purchased the parts and was going to do the tune-up myself. When they called to tell me the mower was done and told me the balance I couldn't believe it. They quoted $80 to install the mulching kit and the bill was over $300. When I questioned the bill they said it was also for a tune-up. I told them I never asked for a tune-up and they insisted I did. They were very rude and obnoxious. I assumed if I didn't pay the bill I wouldn't get my mower back so I paid it. I also requested that I get the blades that were the wrong ones in the kit back. When the mower was delivered the mower they didn't have the blades. I went to their shop a few days later the get the blades and also said I would like the blades they removed since they were only two years old and probably in good shape. They told me they were scraped and I should of told them I wanted them. I assumed since they weren't replacing the blades due to wear I would get them back with the mower. Again the individual was rude and obnoxious. I told them I would of expected them to ask me if I wanted the blades since I could still use them if I needed to. I will never use them again. If you want repairs done at a courteous and honest repair shop don't go there.

No stars for this business. The owner is a rude and obnoxious jerk with a big attitude, as well as…read morehaving a big bug up his ass. My husband needed a bolt removed from his edger. He proceeded to pay him the five dollars and when he asked him to put the new blade on the owner went ballistic. He refused to put the new blade on. He proceeded to tell my husband to get the hell out of his store and never come back. He accused my husband of always looking for something free. He has been going there for years. We own a business and if we treated customers like this jackass, we would be out of business. He needs to retire and find the nearest rocking chair, if his business is that stressful.

Ray's Mower Shop - Ray's mobile truck service

They gave us a date and time that was very convenient and showed up on time and sent several text messages confirming our appointment. The technician put our snowblower on his truck and serviced it right on the spot. The cost for the repair was very reasonable and the tech was great keeping us informed what the repairs would be. We would definitely recommend Ray's and will be using them for any of our lawn mower or snowblower needs in the future.

A quick search on Yelp led me to Ray's Mower Shop. Ray's offers an awesome mobile truck service that comes to you. The truck is specially stocked and equipped to handle full repair and maintenance services of Mowers with at least a 30 inch deck,  Riding mowers, Snow blowers, log splitters, Generators, Skid steers, Heavy Equipment, and Forklifts. I called Ray's to ask a few questions after reviewing their web page at https://raysmowershop.com/mobile-sevice The phone was answered promptly as were my questions. The owner's name is actually Henry, and he was pleasant and helpful as we discussed questions and next steps for my snow blower repair needs. Note: Ray's does not schedule appointment dates for snow blower repairs or tune-ups before November. This makes sense, as Henry explained, he recommends you service seasonal equipment at the beginning of its designed season to guarantee trouble free operation. Scheduling the mobile truck service was quick and easy via Ray's web page, confirmation emails and calendar events are sent to the customer. You Do NOT have to be present for the appointment as long as the equipment is accessible on your property. The service ticket is left in your mailbox, and final payment can be handled by phone. Henry was prompt and professional for my mobile service appointment and the repairs were completed to my satisfaction and for a reasonable price. Ray's provides a 30 day service warranty on travel and labor and 90 day factory warranty on parts. I highly recommend Ray's Mower Shop for your onsite or mobile servicing needs. I will definitely use them again.

Ed's Rental

Been a customer of Ed's Rental for years. My 2026 experience has taught me a valuable consumer…read moreexperience. I have serviced my equipment at Ed's and bought several pieces of equipment at Ed's for 15-20 years. This year, I decided to have my Generac powerwasher, Briggs & Stratton generator, Husqvarna snowblower and Honda lawnmower serviced at Ed's. The Honda has a handle to switch from mulch to bag, and it had broken off during the 2025 mowing season. I asked if they could replace that. The generator, which I bought during Hurricane Sandy, needed a battery replacement. I went on Amazon and found the exact battery for $39.00, but decided to let Ed's replace it as it needed an oil change and tune up (75 total hours running in 20 years). The power washer and snowblower were sent for oil changes and general maintenance. So, what lesson did I learn: NEVER authorize any work at this shop without requiring a written estimate prior to the commencement of the work. It took Ed's a month to do basic maintenance on 4 common pieces of equipment. So, how much did they charge for the battery? Twice as much as Amazon? Nope. Ed's, claiming they only use American parts (sure buddy, sure), charged me six times more than Amazon --$234.25. Yes, I felt violated. Six times more than market value for a twenty year old generator worth $100.00. The best part: They charged me shipping on both the Honda parts (parts cost: $6.00/Shipping: $19.95) and on the battery ($16.95). Never had a problem with the actual work, but my firm recommendation: Go to Ed's only if you can't find another firm to do your work. I am disappointed with Ed's and will look to find a TORO dealer locally. Really a bad experience. I give Ed's Rental the Comcast award for customer excellence and experience. Congratulations!
