I have been using this time to make a dent in yard work. I had placed an order with Lowe's for curbside pick up. Four days post placing the order I still did not have an estimated pick up date. I don't care for the big box stores as it is. That made me remember Ace on East. I went online and they offered contactless curbside. I cancelled my Lowe's order and placed it with Ace. My order went in on Sunday night when they were closed. I was notified at 9:30am the next day my order was ready. Everyone on the phone was friendly and helpful for the two orders I placed so far (I had questions). The online ordering is efficient. I will continue to give them my business.

The attentive and friendly customer service is nonstop. Whether I am in my hometown NYC, Queens Mall, or Deptford Township, New Jersey....I am greeted when I walk thru the door, advised of the latest sales, offered a cart for browsing, and offered coupons for future use at check out! Who does that? Yankee Candle does just that...every time. That's great customer care training. Of course I bought over priced candles that smell like love and Christmas cookies that were on clearance, but this is my happy place and these candles last for days. I love it here.

It seems if you go early in the day you will get a certain kind of employee who cares and won't have any problems but if you go after 4 you will get another kind of employee who doesn't want to be at work or is just an unhappy person. Twice she gave me the wrong sheen and today she was completing a contractors order and didn't bother to see if I just wanted to be rung out because I had pulled my rollers and materials from the shelves and that's all I needed, nearly 30 minutes in the store, 20 in line to checkout and I put the stuff back and walked out. I only wrote this because she didn't even acknowledge the people in line.

This is a nice little hardware and lumber store, and more. The employees are cheerful, helpful,…read moreand know about mysterious things like sump pumps, wells, and septic systems, things that are new to people who have had city water for all of their adult lives. Unfortunately, the hours are pretty inconvenient for working people: M-F 7:30am to 5pm, Sat. 7:30am to 4pm, closed Sundays, not at all helpful for people with 8-5 jobs, because there's no popping in after work to pick up a part. If you can plan your emergencies for Friday night/Saturday morning, it can work for you. The aisles are on the narrow side, and many aren't very well-lit. Hubby's always armed with a small flashlight, and he often has to use it to read boxes, here. He's had about a 50/50 chance of finding what he needs; it's worth the time it takes to check here first, before making the long drive to Home Depot. They have a little seasonal display in the center of the front part, which changes frequently and can be fun to look around in, and often have specials on the adjacent end caps, which usually catch our attention. There's a nice selection of drawer and cabinet hardware, a paint section, an outdoor section, plus many others, and they have attractive displays of windows, siding, and roofing. They can also order anything found on the True Value website and have it sent to the store for you to pick up. While we believe in supporting local businesses, the prices are higher than the big box lumber stores, so if we need enough stuff to fill the truck, it makes more sense to drive out of the area. If we just need a few 2x4s, it's definitely worth it for the convenience.
