I called Pegs to install mulching blade kit on my Craftsman ride on mower that I had purchased with the mower. They picked up the mower and called me several days later to tell me that the blades were wrong. I could not return them because I had them too long so they ordered me blades. I also received an email asking if I wanted a tune-up on the mower. I did not respond because I already purchased the parts and was going to do the tune-up myself. When they called to tell me the mower was done and told me the balance I couldn't believe it. They quoted $80 to install the mulching kit and the bill was over $300. When I questioned the bill they said it was also for a tune-up. I told them I never asked for a tune-up and they insisted I did. They were very rude and obnoxious. I assumed if I didn't pay the bill I wouldn't get my mower back so I paid it. I also requested that I get the blades that were the wrong ones in the kit back. When the mower was delivered the mower they didn't have the blades. I went to their shop a few days later the get the blades and also said I would like the blades they removed since they were only two years old and probably in good shape. They told me they were scraped and I should of told them I wanted them. I assumed since they weren't replacing the blades due to wear I would get them back with the mower. Again the individual was rude and obnoxious. I told them I would of expected them to ask me if I wanted the blades since I could still use them if I needed to. I will never use them again. If you want repairs done at a courteous and honest repair shop don't go there. read more

No stars for this business. The owner is a rude and obnoxious jerk with a big attitude, as well as having a big bug up his ass. My husband needed a bolt removed from his edger. He proceeded to pay him the five dollars and when he asked him to put the new blade on the owner went ballistic. He refused to put the new blade on. He proceeded to tell my husband to get the hell out of his store and never come back. He accused my husband of always looking for something free. He has been going there for years. We own a business and if we treated customers like this jackass, we would be out of business. He needs to retire and find the nearest rocking chair, if his business is that stressful. read more

I dropped my Craftsman Chainsaw off for an Estimate on the 1st of the month and was told I would get a call in 3 - 4 days. On day 9 I went there and the guy behind the counter didn't know anything about my estimate he said when everyone returned from lunch I would get a call. Here we are day 10 I called and I'm once again told We will call you as soon as we know something I asked what they found and was told hear that engine in the back ? We are working on things we will call you. I getting to the point I'm going to ask for my saw and a refund for the estimate of $20.00 I paid in advance. I won't ever use them for service again. They have Attitudes and Never keep their word. read more

One of the worst service repair experience I have ever received. I was told when I delivered my John Deer lawn mower and weed trimmer for service, that they would completed within 7 days. Well 7 days came and gone without any word from anyone on the timing. I called on the 10th day and was told I had four other customers in front of me for service and that is should hear something in a couple of days on the cost of repairs/service. I received a call on the 12th day telling me that the cost to repair will be ready in about 10 minutes and that they will call me back. No return call in 10 minutes and for that matter, all day. I get a call on the 13th day informing me that the lawn mower and weed trimmer is not worth to repair. Mind you, that I just used the lawn mower the day before I brought it in for service. It took Peggs two weeks to figure out the out come after telling me it would be 7 days. That is the last time I would patronage that business, if it is in fact they are still in business. UNETHICAL, RUDE, DID NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ERROR, BLAMED THE CUSTOMER.Dropped off my Toro Lawn Mower for repair. As I was not in a hurry for the mower, I did not barrage them with phone calls. I stopped in to pick up my mower, pay the $121.28 bill, which they took, only to be told the mower was behind other mowers, they would 'dig' it out, and deliver to my home the next day. I told them not to drive themselves crazy, they could hold onto the mower until Spring, and I would pick it up them. They thought that was just fine, agreed, and all was great...or so I thought. Early Spring of 2017 arrived, I phoned Peg's, to set up a day for the mower to be delivered to my home. I was told by the owners son, Scott, it would be delivered the next day. It wasn't. I stopped up, phoned once again, and both times was promised the mower would be delivered to my home; empty promises.Several days after Easter, 2017, Scott from Peg's contacted me, and said my mower had been sold, in error, by an employee that had since been terminated, AND it was sold in 2016.Peg's took my payment knowing the mower had in fact been sold, lied to me repeatedly that they were going to deliver my mower, then turned around and blamed me because I didn't pick it up, knowing an agreement was made between Peg's and myself they would hold it, and deliver it in the Spring. Peg's made that agreement knowing it was sold.Trying to be reasonable, I asked Scott, to contact the purchaser of my mower, explain it was sold in error, and to refund my $121.28, and we would call it a day. I also asked him to bring over a loaner mower, which he did, gas tank dry as a bone, and he assured me everything was being done to rectify this situation.After that meeting, I never heard from them again. Scott stated previously, they had calls into the purchaser of the mower, his father was searching the Internet for a replacement mower, all of which were lies. Scott was merely repeating what was told to him.I phoned Peg's this morning 5/2/2017, to check up on the status. The phone was answered by the owner, who after I identified myself, stated 'See you in court.' I have absolutely no idea where that came from. He was nasty, belligerent, and unbelievably sarcastic. He stated 'we are doing nothing for you, and to keep the loner mower.' 'Go mow your lawn lady, we're done.'I told him he was an unethical businessman, reiterated the agreement, but he started laughing at me.I try to support our local town businesses, but this is one business, due to the harm they did to me, and others it appears, that I hope goes folds, so they can never do this again.Go to Woodchuck's, right down the road.- A Stratford, NJ resident. read more
