Finally, got through to a so- called medical coordinator (Marie), who promised a call back, from either herself, or the doctor the very next day.NEVER HEARD BACK FROM EITHER! Questionable calibration of testing equipment, compared to results from other providers. The technicians seem to have poor training. This is simply a money machine, and medical "mill". It is run more like a fast food restaurant, rather than a responsive and caring medical practice. My advice - stay far, far away! ****As you can see from the tone deaf response to my post below, these clowns ask that I continue to "reach out" to them. That's exactly one of the issues! THEY NEVER RESPONDED TO ME! I'm the patient! Probably too busy making bank deposits!

Most of the top cornea doctors I found through my sources were not local. Either overseas or a distance away from NY. I believe in messages that one sometimes misses; the message derived by a source that did not specifically pronounce Dr Rosenberg; s knowledge and experience. After one visit, I was overly committed that I had discovered the right doctor. Dr. Eric Rosenberg has produced in a brief time twenty-five plus journals, article publications, five book chapters, and a full textbook used by many residents and fellows throughout the world titled "Operative Dictations in Ophthalmology," He is always actively researching projects in the field of cornea, refractive, and external diseases. Why we chose this Doctor? He is enthusiastic about his career and his patients. I exceptionally recommend Dr. Eric Rosenberg and propose those in need of an eye specialist who loves his field passionately, and cares for his patience profoundly, connect with him before it is difficult to acquire an appointment. Tell the Doctor. Denise recommended you. As far as the staff, their front desk along with their technicians are knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Sight MD is fortunate to have Dr Rosenberg on their staff.

While the administrative people are generally pleasant, access to this entity is impossible. They dramatically overbook appointments and wait times are ridiculous. When I try to reach a person by phone, I go into a queue that loops indefinitely. It doesn't matter what access # you press, you will wait forever and get no satisfaction. No matter how much you like your doctor, I would avoid this organization at all costs. You will only be frustrated and aggravated.

Visit consist of an associate asking update ?s , eye chart reading, put in a waiting room with chairs no place for a wheelchair and back to a room with the doctor who uses eye machinery to look in eyes and diagnose. So, how would we get a script for lens changes to bring the covering insured place ? Ask at up front - seems they send it to your pharmacy- not sure if that is so yet. Ask if an insurance covered place would need to do a 2nd exam or be charged for it by insurance-told they'd only do the eye test to see if you need lens changed. Used to one stop shop.

An anecdote about how much I rely on him and how caring he is: on a recent vacation to Colorado, I noticed an admonition on a sign not to ascend Pike's Peak if you have a retina problem, and a quick search online repeated the warning for certain altitudes. I call Dr. Maisel's office and he got on the line. He reassured me that I could ascend, but not to spend the night above a certain altitude - vacation saved!

I did my best to correct that problem but nothing worked and it was painful. When my eye care doctor opened for business I called his office. I told the person who answered the phone that I had something in my eye and I wanted to see the doctor. After speaking to the Doctor she told me he wasn't seeing an more patience today. She asked me if I wanted to make an appointment for Friday. Then I thought about "My Eye Dr." The Doctor who gives me my eye exam is an "Eye Dr." I got on the phone and called their office and Peggy Kessler picked up. Peggy, I have something in my eye can the Doctor see me. When can you come in, I'll be there in 5 minutes...Doctor Skoljarev took me in her office and examined my right eye. The results of her15 minute exam she said I must have scratched my eye with my fingernail during the night. She put an eye drop in my eye and the pain was gone...I used eye drops for 2 days and now I'm better! Thank you Peggy, thank you Dr. Skoljarev
