My doctor of many years left his private practice to join this group. While I like my doctor, this…read moreorganization is among the worst I have ever dealt with. While the administrative people are generally pleasant, access to this entity is impossible. They dramatically overbook appointments and wait times are ridiculous. When I try to reach a person by phone, I go into a queue that loops indefinitely. It doesn't matter what access # you press, you will wait forever and get no satisfaction. No matter how much you like your doctor, I would avoid this organization at all costs. You will only be frustrated and aggravated.

There was a wheelchair in view by door and doorway just fit a small transport chair. Able to maneuver to eye mechanism chairs manually holding the foot base up on them for maneuverability to seat. Outside parking area has a few handicap spots all taken for an11 o'clock apt. CLK signs for building people- don't park in them. Lower level entrance with button that doesn't work to open doors. Elevators to 1 sr floor with 1 of 2 doors available to open.Informed by email and indoor sign pay up At visit for any additional expenses via the test to see if you need new glasses and a prescription for new lens at 50 bucks as told insurance doesn't cover it any more. No eye drops or dilation used. Visit is thus quicker and if you drive no need to wait upon leaving. Visit consist of an associate asking update ?s , eye chart reading, put in a waiting room with chairs no place for a wheelchair and back to a room with the doctor who uses eye machinery to look in eyes and diagnose. So, how would we get a script for lens changes to bring the covering insured place ? Ask at up front - seems they send it to your pharmacy- not sure if that is so yet. Ask if an insurance covered place would need to do a 2nd exam or be charged for it by insurance-told they'd only do the eye test to see if you need lens changed. Used to one stop shop.

An anecdote about how much I rely on him and how caring he is: on a recent vacation to Colorado, I noticed an admonition on a sign not to ascend Pike's Peak if you have a retina problem, and a quick search online repeated the warning for certain altitudes. I call Dr. Maisel's office and he got on the line. He reassured me that I could ascend, but not to spend the night above a certain altitude - vacation saved!

So now that I've had two cataract surgeries from Dr. Sable, I feel qualified to write this review…read more My case is a bit more difficult than most cataract surgeries in that I had lasik surgery in 1998 and that makes cataract surgeries more complex. The reason is that the surgeon needs to base the procedure as to how your eyes were before the corrective lasik procedure. In addition, my right eye, which was my first to require the cataract removal had undergone some sort of a trauma when I was little that I didn't know about, but a number of eye doctors had asked me about it at various points in my life. So anyway, in November of 2018, I underwent cataract surgery on my right eye. Fortunately, I was able to locate my records from my lasik procedure from 1998. This was very helpful but Dr. Sable warned me that there was a good chance that he would need a second procedure to get my vision closer to 20/20 after the first procedure due to the challenges posed by lasik. Well as things turned out, my right eye came out perfect! Two years later I went to Dr. Sable for cataract surgery in my left eye on 10/28. There was superior technology available called a "Wave Tech" machine which tends to have better results for lasik patients. This was going to cost me an extra $500 but because the rep for the company attended my session, they waived the fee. The next day, I went back to Dr. Sable for my post op. The first thing I got was an eye chart test from one of his assistants. To my shock and amazement I was able to read the 20/20 line on the eye chart just one day after my surgery! I will tell you that I was barely able to see the numbers and letters on the line and I read them slowly, but indeed I got all of them correct. Dr. Sable saw my results and was thrilled that they came out so well so soon given the challenge with lasik patients. I have a second post op two weeks after the last appointment as that is how long it takes for the eyes to recover fully at which point I will get a new prescription for reading glasses. Given my favorable results, I would highly recommend Dr. Sable for cataract surgery. The only tip I would give to enhance the experience during Covid would be to wait in the car before entering the office as the waiting room is a little cramped and only has three chairs available due to the 6 feet apart requirements. After Covid things will be comfortable enough as there are about 10 chairs which can accommodate everyone when social distancing is not required.

Ridiculous wait just to be seen - 90 min+++. Rude staff. No one ever answers the phone. NO seating…read more Overflowing w patients i to the hall. No social distancing. Unsafe environment.
