My wife and I couldn't be happier with the craftsmanship and restoration work Ernie and his team delivered. We brought them a mix of projects that were all in rough shape: 1) Entrance Room Ceiling Beam - The last home owner had painted over the wood beam in solid white. Ernie's team stripped and refinished it down to its natural wood color and it's given our main entrance a whole new vibe! 2) Dining Table, Coffee Table, & Buffet Cabinet - Each of these pieces needed some TLC, with full sanding to strip off the old worn finish and fresh re-staining. We appreciated the attention to detail Ernie and his crew demonstrated. And to top it all off, we thought pricing was fair and affordable for the quality of work provided. If you have wood features or wood furniture in need of restoration, do not hesitate to call Ernie. We'll definitely be using Wood Expert Refinishing for any future projects! read more

We had been looking for a company to refinish and stain our mahogany front doors for a reasonable price. I contacted Wood Expert Refinishing through Yelp, and Ernie responded quickly with a quote, which we accepted. Ernie and his crew worked very hard for 3 hot days, thoroughly sanding down our doors to the bare wood, staining them and then adding several coats of polyurethane oil satin finish. Our doors were very weathered and had been previously painted, so refinishing our doors wasn't an easy project. During this process the Wood Expect Refinishing crew were professional, did a nice job cleaning up and were respectful of our property. We would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to refinish and restore their woodwork. read more

We are grateful we found Wood Expert Refinishing. We had very rough wood beams, wood doors and stair way on our ceiling and thankfully we found a specialist to do this work. Ernie really knew his skill. What stood out to me was the very little wood dust that was made. Also, his crew left the area very clean and organized each night. The communication was with Ernie was great and he delivered exactly as he said he would. Thank you for being a true professional. I love looking at my wood now. read more

Wood Expert Refinishing provided great quality service as they refinished my two front doors. The crew of three were dependable, reliable, thorough in their work, personable, focused, and professional. I could tell that they were experienced as they set up their work area (tent with side drapes to keep hot sun and dusty wind off the project), masked off the doorway and went right to work. They went beyond scope as they polished the hardware and corrected the alignment upon rehanging the doors. They cleaned up each day of the two-day project - spotless. They were well priced and I feel that the money spent was well worth the excellent work they did. I highly recommend them. read more

We needed to refinish our huge entry door and Ernie brought his team out and did it all beautifully. The house feels brand new when you walk in. He also refinished a live edge wooden bench at the entry and now is working on our floating staircase. He gave me stain color options and blends as well as gloss, semi-gloss or matte, etc. and let me be picky so that we ended up with the perfect result. Highly recommend!!!! read more

I have never given a positive review on yelp because I only use yelp to see if vendors have bad reputations. That being said I have give a 5 star review to this company and Ernie. We have a 39 year old butcher block table that had been refinished 4 times but job was, hands down, the best. He tried to talk me out of a lemon oil finish but I insisted and he did as I asked. The table is now better than new and we love it. Thank you Ernie. read more

We requested to have our 40 year old solid oak entry door and side lights refurbished. It had a lot of carving work on it making it even more difficult to sand. We decided to have Ernie of Wood Expert Refinishing do the job. My wife is an expert in painting and staining, but the work would require significant hand sanding so we chose Ernie because of easy communication, experience and knowledge of this kind of work. Ernie's estimate was reasonable. Ernie and his crew did an excellent job. Ernie and crew showed up on time, were clean and neat. Ernie did exactly what we wanted. The door and side lights were sanded down to raw wood for a natural look and many coats of satin finish were applied The work was AAAA+. We would definitely recommend this company. Also he services a very large area as we were around 70 miles away. read more

They came over to look at the job and explained what the process would be, but I never received the estimate to do the job.

Ernesto and his team did an outstanding job refinishing our dining room table! They do great work!

This company is everything you want. The work they do is excellent quality. They listened carefully to our needs. The colors we wanted to match in the kitchen matched perfectly. Our 50 year old solid oak cabinets are on the third refinishing and look beautiful. Our front door was in bad shape and looks lovely now. They were on time, cleaned up daily and finished on time. The price was reasonable and below what other companies wanted. read more
