The front office staff, Dalese and Berenice, were incredibly friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with. They consistently followed up with me to ensure all my questions and concerns were addressed, and they provided detailed information regarding my insurance coverage. I came in for a root canal and crown procedure. Dr. Smith was excellent, clearly explaining the treatment process step-by-step and ensuring I was comfortable throughout the procedure. His dental assistant, Salina, was also very attentive and made sure I was well taken care of. The collaborative effort of the whole team made me feel safe during my visit. I was scheduled for a two-hour appointment, and I was genuinely impressed that Dr. Smith was able to complete both the root canal and the placement of the final crown during that single visit--no temporary crown was necessary. The result is amazing; the crown on my molar looks exactly like my other teeth. I am extremely happy with my treatment and highly recommend this practice. They did an exceptional job and were wonderful to work with.

They up-charge for fluoride which no other dentist I've been to has ever done. They add a 3% fee if you use a credit card. Current or future customers, do not believe their estimates from your dental insurance will be accurate. Call your insurance plans yourself since Boulder Canyon Dental will not! Get the correct price from your insurer and THEN decide if you want BCD to do the treatment or not. Our bill went from about $570 to about $1,100! BCD will not take the time to do a "special request" with your insurance company because BCD is a "small family-owned business" and cannot ask insurers specific questions about your dental history. By the way BCD had our dental history from past dentists, but also didn't have time to go over it, same excuse. The insurance person sure had time to give long, professional responses to my email complaints, mostly blaming our dental insurance for the estimate mismatch but she didn't have time to call them to see what the actual cost would be. We had already changed dentists before all of this occurred too. The bill came after we had our records moved to another dentist since BCD dropped our dental insurance and would charge us high prices for just fillings and X-Rays. I have felt BCD has been money hungry since starting to go there. Our friend was overbilled by $500 extra, but he fought and won a check back from BCD for the errant billing. Ours was unfortunately correct, just a bad estimate.

WARNING: BEFORE GETTING DENTAL IMPLANTS FROM DR. DANNY ABBOUD, LOOK UP HIS COLORADO DORA…read moreDISCIPLINARY HISTORY. I WISH I HAD. I paid Dr. Abboud over $3,500 for implants. When I returned with persistent, INTENSE pain, I encountered administrative incompetence, threats from staff, a dentist seemingly unfamiliar with my treatment history, and NO SOLUTION. WARNING #1: HIS DORA DISCIPLINARY HISTORY. These are PUBLIC RECORDS. In 2018, the Colorado Dental Board issued Abboud a formal Letter of Admonition for infection-control violations, including sterilized dental handpieces stored unbagged in drawers and inadequate training documentation. In October 2023, following ANOTHER inspection identifying patient and employee health and safety concerns, he signed an agreement PROHIBITING HIM FROM PRACTICING DENTISTRY while it remained in effect. Signed October 24; DORA lists it as completed November 2. His license is currently active. LOOK IT UP: DEN.00009598, cases 2015-3149 and 2023-5880. WARNING #2: HIS OFFICE COULDN'T COORDINATE MY RECORDS. I completed the authorization for records from my local dentists. The front desk initially arranged to send MY records to THEM--the exact opposite of my request. Sabrina assured me she would obtain them. Another employee subsequently emailed saying they hadn't arrived. Sabrina blamed an employee in training, despite that employee having consulted her. No apology. When I pointed out that my authorization already specified the requested records, Sabrina accused me of being rude and threatened to BAN ME. Apparently, asking staff to follow their own paperwork warrants expulsion. WARNING #3: DR. ABBOUD HADN'T REVIEWED MY RECORDS. He entered asking, "What brings you in?" Perhaps the $3,500 implants YOU performed that are causing me intense pain? He said, "I can't force them to give me the records. You should have had them emailed to you." Why wasn't this communicated BEFORE my appointment? He offered a 3D X-ray to demonstrate there was no infection, but what about investigating my actual pain? When I mentioned my dentist suspected a chipped crown, he had his technician take photographs and instructed her to have ME identify the chip. Am I the dentist now? I called my local dentist FROM THE CHAIR and obtained the records within minutes. Abboud read their recommendation to redo the crown. "What's your opinion?" I asked. "No idea." "Do you care to find out?" "If you don't like it here, you can leave." WARNING #4: APPARENTLY, HE NEEDS TO FEEL APPRECIATED BEFORE ANSWERING QUESTIONS. I asked whether his professional obligations included caring for patients in pain. "Yes, but I want to be appreciated." WHAT? I'm not your therapist. I'm a paying patient! What should I appreciate? The mishandled records? Sabrina's threats? Your apparent unfamiliarity with my history? Your inability to offer a treatment plan? Even his personal hygiene was unpleasant during the examination, although that was the least of my concerns. WARNING #5: QUESTION YOUR CARE AND YOU MAY BE BANNED. Dr. Abboud ultimately told me I was no longer permitted to return. I paid $3,500, returned in intense pain and left without a clear diagnosis, treatment plan, referral or apparent arrangement for continued care. I'm reporting my experience to the Colorado Dental Board, requesting an investigation into his follow-up care, professional conduct, records coordination and termination of my treatment. PLEASE CHECK HIS DISCIPLINARY HISTORY BEFORE PAYING HIM THOUSANDS. My implants STILL hurt. Dr. Abboud wanted appreciation. I wanted competent dental care. IF YOU'VE EXPERIENCED SIMILAR TREATMENT, PLEASE KEEP REPORTING YOUR EXPERIENCES TO DORA. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. FILE FORMAL COMPLAINTS. I URGE PROSPECTIVE PATIENTS TO BOYCOTT THIS PRACTICE AND TAKE THEIR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. PATIENTS DESERVE ACCOUNTABILITY, NOT THREATS FOR ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT THEIR OWN HEALTH. *Warning* If you don't like reading long reviews, you should probably stop here…read more.. I began my search for an orthodontist at the age of 40, which was a huge step in so many ways. Having a mouthful of overcrowded teeth for most of my life, I had already endured a great deal of gum health issues - some of my own making, but many due to the severe overcrowding. Over the course of 9 months, I interviewed with 2 other local orthodontists and although they were both great (each made sure to tell me how great they were) and I was confident that they would have done a wonderful job taking care of my teeth, I was still hesitant. Thankfully, as the old saying goes, third time's the charm. I made my way to Longmont Braces and before I even left the initial consult with Dr. Stephanie Ross, I knew that she would be the one I would entrust with my braces journey. She is confident and extremely intelligent, but without an ounce of pretension in her explanations or presence. I have witnessed her demeanor with patients of all ages, from young children to elderly, and have always been so impressed with her laid back approach. In addition, behind every great doctor is the team, and what an awesome team they are! From the moment my treatment started, I have been amazed by how this group works so closely together and makes each visit comfortable and pleasant even under circumstances that may not predispose you to that sort of experience. I HIGHLY recommend Longmont Braces and thank you so much to Dr. Ross, Pauline, Alan, Julie & Lisa for all that you do! (P.S. My teeth look amazing!)

Her staff is highly skilled, attentive, and compassionate (I have very sensitive teeth). The office experience is perfect including a nicely decorated entry, a wonderful receptionist, and a well organized approach to providing her services. Wait times for scheduled appointments were non existent. I highly recommend using Dr. Ross!! You will not be disappointed.

Two major negatives and two positives: - Lack of Professionalism: Their Dental Hygienist was unprofessional in her delivery of bad news regarding my teeth and gums to the degree that she seemed happy when I was tearing up. I won't go into the details on this but please know that had I not just exposed myself to radiation that I didn't want to repeat immediately to get help with my teeth, I would have immediately left their offices. - Lack of Professional Response: When I told the dentist that their hygienist treated me so rudely that I had tested up, her response was to tell me "she and her hygienist were completely aligned in diagnosing and delivering bad news" which she later said "oh, we'll, sorry but you don't have to see her when you return." Neither responses assured me that this practice values the patient experience. Positives: + The dentist seemed competent in examining teeth. + The dental tech was friendly and professional.
