I was having such severe pain nursing my 4-day-old baby that i texted Katherine asking if she could recommend a miracle lanolin cream or nipple butter. She immediately got back to me and hypothesized that my pain was beyond repair with a magic cream, and that something with my baby's latch was very wrong. Then the kicker: she asked if we could get in the car and come over to her house to fix the latch right then. It was 8 pm on a Saturday night. I cried. Could not believe her kindness. At 8:30 pm my little family sat in Katherine's home office practicing as I latched and relatched my brand new baby. My husband recorded our visit, and we spent the next several days rewatching the videos and practicing all of Katherine's coaching at home. My baby is now 3 weeks old, and we are loving our now-painless breastfeeding journey together. There is no magic nipple cream. Katherine is the closest thing to magic that you will have available. I am forever in debt to her, not just for her tremendous, immeasurable expertise, but for her grace, kindness and selflessness as well. There's a reason Katherine is basically the king of Atlanta when it comes to all things lactation. No one does it better.

As a first-time mom, I thought breastfeeding would come naturally. My baby was born 3 weeks early, and we struggled from the start. By 3 weeks old, he was in the 2nd percentile for weight, and I wasn't sure I'd be able to build a milk supply. Working with Lerae and Nakaiya at Atlanta Lactation was a complete turning point. They created a personalized plan for us and met with me weekly to adjust it as needed. They were incredibly supportive, never pushy, and always encouraged me to follow what worked best for me and my baby while providing expert guidance. They also helped me so much with pumping--everything from creating a schedule to using wearable pumps and even figuring out milk storage for travel. That support made a huge difference in my confidence and day-to-day routine. After 5 weeks, my baby graduated at 8 weeks old, now thriving, chunky, and fully nourished on breastmilk. It truly felt like something I wouldn't be able to achieve before working with them. The care and compassion from this team is unmatched. I also love that they offer continued support through groups, classes, and guidance for transitions like returning to work or starting solids. I can't recommend Atlanta Lactation enough--this was one of the best decisions I've made for both me and my baby.

I started interviewing doulas and midwives when I was only 3 months pregnant. After contacting Cynthya thru the Happiest Doulas website, I spoke with her and knew immediately that I needed the support of a doula from The Happiest Doulas as a part of my birth team. I requested a consult with Jeni Standard. Jeni's biography resonated with me the most because she had studied functional nutrition, and was certified in both nutrition and lactation. As a sufferer of Celiac Disease and someone who struggled with getting pregnant, I knew she would be a great resource and offer the support and understanding I needed. And I was so right - Jeni was the calm to my storm! She was there to comfort me after after some scary experiences. She also had great reading recommendations, as I was avidly reading all the books while pregnant. We had so many questions after our son was born and Jeni was so supportive and responsive. Because she is also a certified lactation consultant, she was able to support my decision to breastfeed, despite many obstacles. She followed up with me many times after our son was born, and I still feel like I could reach out to her just to catch up! Included in my birth package were 10 weeks of birth bootcamp classes. Our instructor, Alexa Gumm, was so wonderful! Her warmth and experience made our weekly Sunday classes something that my husband and I truly looked forward to. It turned out to be a great bonding experience for the two of us. We learned so much - from what to expect during labor (we got to watch videos) to info on breastfeeding. The classes were great for me, but mostly, I wanted my husband to really understand the process. He is not the type to read books, so a class was perfect. Alexa made sure the "dads" understood ways to support their partners during the birthing process. Alexa would have been so proud of my husband because he remembered everything she taught us during class and he was really supportive while I was in labor! She even followed up with me after our son was born and gave me some recommendations that were really helpful. I am so thankful Cynthya brought together the wonderful group called The Happiest Doulas! I will surely call on them again in the future when I plan my next birth. Cynthya was so kind and helpful as well throughout. I feel as if I gained 3 wonderful friends by the end of my pregnancy.

I found her on Yelp and she was my savings grace. Always on time, upbeat, and encouraging me to sit down, relax, go nap/shower and offering me help. Upon first meeting we hit it off so well but I'm a slight introvert so her first time arriving to my home to help I was nervous and didn't really know what to expect but sure enough she showed up with a smile and some comfort for me and my kiddos. Day 1 she came with some toy dinosaurs for my older (2yo) to play with- I thought it was the sweetest gesture to think of him. She happily baby wore 3w old Declan while cleaning around the house and filling in so I could get in some much needed self care. Look no further y'all Melissa is great!

We interviewed a few doulas and decided to work with Melissa because she brought the most experience and professionalism to the job. Not only was she able to bring her extensive knowledge of pregnancy and birthing to all of my questions, she also, when appropriate, could chime in with her personal experience as a mother. While I was pregnant and after my son was born, Melissa was always available to answer any questions and address my many worries as they came up. What I have really valued was that she was proactive- she would reach out frequently just to make sure things were going ok. This was especially helpful in the weeks after birth as I was struggling with breastfeeding and being a new mom in general, and Melissa was able to be a sounding board for all of my concerns. I always know that I can reach out to her with seemingly trivial questions and have her validate my concerns, listen, suggest solutions, or provide additional information. Finally, Melissa was wonderful during the birth! When things started to go off plan, Melissa helped me think through and feel comfortable with what was happening. During the labor, I will never forget Melissa's cool hands and soothing words swooping in to calm both me and my husband. Somehow, in the middle of helping me labor, she was also able to take pictures on her phone of the whole birth, and the first moments of our son's life, that we will cherish forever. After the birth, she was there to help me breastfeed for the first time and stayed with us until we were ready to go to the recovery room. I recommend Melissa to anyone who is looking for a doula!

Having her in our corner was invaluable as we navigated the uncharted waters of pregnancy and beyond. She was always available and quick to answer any questions (is XYZ normal? What do we do about this?) etc etc. And then when the Covid-19 pandemic made EVERYTHING unknown, having Rebecca's NO BS style, guidance, empowering energy and knowledge made us much more comfortable and confident with every new twist and turn. The hospital only allowed one guest (my partner) so Rebecca video chatted with us during the entire labor. She coached us through every step of the way. I had some unforeseen complications and Rebecca worked with us and our medical staff to make sure we understood everything before moving forward with next steps. We ended up with a healthy mama and baby. And even though our birth story ended up very differently from our birthing plan, I wouldn't have changed a thing. I feel so satisfied with how well everyone worked together to nurture and support our little family. Covid hit, and in Atlanta they didn't allow a 2nd support person (in some hospitals they were not even allowing the partner), and I was furlough from my job. We asked if she can keep half of the payment, and refund us half back since she won't join us in the hospital. She has not responded to my asks for that, literally tried numerous times, and feel very much scammed. Terrible experience- especially since we approached this from a place of wanting support, she turned out to be anything but that and added significant stress during my pregnancy.

Regretfully, I hired her company to care for my dying husband. , She struggled to locate an appropriate nurse. On the first day, the nurse who came kept her hoodie on all day and spoke negatively about the company and the owner. I had hoped it was just a disgruntled employee, but much of what she said was shown to be true. The company requires a deposit of at least 2 weeks. They quickly charge the deposit. They cancel days when they can't supply a nurse and will STILL charge you. My husband died after seven days of care. I asked numerous times for the statement of my account to see what was charged. They refused to present my account statement. There is a medical kit and a notebook on their property that were left at my home. After 30 days that was the excuse of why there was no refund. I have offered to meet to pick it up and would mail it, if necessary. The amount now presented to refund is a rip-off and not what is due. They will find a way to keep your money. The owner hides behind a 45-day refund policy, which has passed. Why would it take 45 days to reconcile an account for a patient who lived seven days? The items will be returned, and then we will be in court to fight over the true amount owed. Please be very careful if you choose Care the Wright Way.
