My husband was able to join us for part of her in-home visit and said he learned so much and we both felt so much more confident and empowered. She immediately sent a full plan via email reiterating the tips and info she shared during the visit for reference. Lactation support and education should be accessible to every mother when considering the immense benefits of breastfeeding - and Sophia made sure we had all the tools for success, making herself available at any point in the future for any other questions we had. We moved to Briarvista after it was recommended to us by a friend and a lactation consultant. We have been exceedingly satisfied with our care at Briarvista. Our son has needed to be seen many times due to various illnesses outside of well visits, so we have seen all the providers at some point, and all have been excellent. Can't recommend them enough!

While we've always received excellent care from Bethany Smith, the front office staff continues to fall short in customer service. I scheduled wellness visits for all three of my children, but later noticed only two were listed. I called and the third was added something I appreciated. We arrived at 10:03 AM, assuming all appointments began at 10:00. I was told my third child's was actually at 9:50 and we had missed the 10-minute grace period. I explained the misunderstanding, our full-time work schedules, and that school starts soon, but the front desk and manager refused to accommodate us. While still in the office, I even received a text saying I'd be charged a $40 no-show fee. Thankfully, Dr. Nina Chegireddy kindly saw my third child without hesitation for which I'm very grateful. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I've experienced dismissive treatment from the front office, but it will be the last. In my years there, I have never missed an appointment, cancelled last min, or arrived after the grace period. We drive over 30 mins to come to this office out of loyalty. Even when we moved, we visited their other locations. I understand doing business but to shorten the grace period and turn parents away is very upsetting.

Also, if you need urgent medical records, the best they can do is 5-7 days. Medicals records are filled out incorrectly, "misplaced", and you can never get someone on the phone who takes ownership. They are an example of everything that is wrong in medicine these days, they don't care about your kids, they care about the bottom line. Disgusting.

Upon first meeting we hit it off so well but I'm a slight introvert so her first time arriving to my home to help I was nervous and didn't really know what to expect but sure enough she showed up with a smile and some comfort for me and my kiddos. Day 1 she came with some toy dinosaurs for my older (2yo) to play with- I thought it was the sweetest gesture to think of him. We were on the fence about hiring a…read moredoula, but after talking with Melissa both in our initial interview and then later during our home visit, we knew that having her as an advocate was worth the investment. We interviewed a few doulas and decided to work with Melissa because she brought the most experience and professionalism to the job. Not only was she able to bring her extensive knowledge of pregnancy and birthing to all of my questions, she also, when appropriate, could chime in with her personal experience as a mother. While I was pregnant and after my son was born, Melissa was always available to answer any questions and address my many worries as they came up. What I have really valued was that she was proactive- she would reach out frequently just to make sure things were going ok. This was especially helpful in the weeks after birth as I was struggling with breastfeeding and being a new mom in general, and Melissa was able to be a sounding board for all of my concerns. I always know that I can reach out to her with seemingly trivial questions and have her validate my concerns, listen, suggest solutions, or provide additional information. Finally, Melissa was wonderful during the birth! When things started to go off plan, Melissa helped me think through and feel comfortable with what was happening. During the labor, I will never forget Melissa's cool hands and soothing words swooping in to calm both me and my husband. Somehow, in the middle of helping me labor, she was also able to take pictures on her phone of the whole birth, and the first moments of our son's life, that we will cherish forever. After the birth, she was there to help me breastfeed for the first time and stayed with us until we were ready to go to the recovery room. I recommend Melissa to anyone who is looking for a doula!

I prayed for a doula and within a weeks time, God sent Shiphrah my way...I did not search for her…read moreat all! She actually became more than a Doula...She became a friend! I didn't think she would have taken me as her client because I was already 39 weeks pregnant at our first meeting. The night I went into labor at 41 weeks, she showed up ready...essential oils and all! She was with my Husband and I for every step of the way (triage to an hour or so after the baby arrived) and she respected/supported EVERY decision my Husband and I made. She never once appeared tired, impatient, or frustrated with the birthing progress. We had a completely natural birth (in a hospital setting) but having Shiphrah and my Husband there made me feel like I was in the comfort of my own home- despite all the unnecessary hospital chaos that was happening around me. I would definitely use her again! I still think about the back rubs, the counter pressure, hugs, breathing techniques, leg rubs, smiles, reassurance, and just calm spirit she maintained to help me through such a painful & beautiful time! We need more empowering women of faith like this in the community, My husband and I thank God for her!

I wanted someone in the room who wasn't as clueless as I was who know their way around the medical lingo. I found all of this and more! We had a few meetings set up prior to delivery. We went over the goals, discussed my health concerns so she would be aware, she met my husband & we got on the same page regarding what my medical professionals were telling me. My situation was unique in that I was to be induced at 37 weeks, so it seemed to be more of a scheduling situation than anything. BUT, baby decided that she calls shots, I went into labor that day. She was so helpful throughout the delivery, keeping me calm, there as we pushed & assisted in the breastfeeding. After I got home & was CLUELESS, she even came to the house & walked me through it. A billion times more helpful than the hospital Lactation consultant. Highly recommend this service for a personal experience for one of the most important times of your life!

Ashley was my Doula for my induction at Emory Johns Creek. I had planned on an epidural so i was…read morenot quite sure what all she could really do for me or what a Doula could offer. She answered many questions I had and provided documentation up until delivery day. Let me tell you how happy I am she was there. She was a trooper. From 12pm to 6:30a.m the next morning. she was by my side supporting me and my husband the entire time. My epidural left me with a hotspot across my lower abdomen that was not reached by the epidural. The pain for me was intense. She stayed by me offering breathing guidance,rubbing my back and offered peppermint oil as I kept becoming very nauseas from the pain. I had a very hard time and could not have done it without her. Eventually a c section had to be done as I stalled in dialating enough and could no longer take the pain. Ashley was there again after the c section checking up on me and baby. I appreciate her so much and will be forever grateful to her.
