I have to say I was skeptical of "HypnoBirthing" until I took Corrinna's class! She has sooo much knowledge around pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I learned exercises which helped me relax and better position my baby. My baby was breech for a while and she showed us some relaxation and exercises to encourage my body to make more room for my baby to turn. I was really impressed with the tools my partner and I were given and feel I used every last one at my birth. I ended up having a 4 1/2 hour labor, no tearing and an AMAZING bonding experience after. I felt totally relaxed the entire birth. Corrinna also helped me find a doula since she was fully booked. I can't say enough about the continuous support Corrinna provided my family with. I can't speak highly enough about Corrinna's work as a Doula. She was my Doula on both of my hospital births, and if it was not for her, they would not have turned out how I wanted them. She is amazing at pain management, and works wonderfully in stressful situations. We had a natural birth, but did not use hypnobirthing techniques, so she was extremely calming and helpful especially during the most intense time of my labor (and trust me, I wasn't nice to her or anyone else during that time :). I highly recommend her for ANY labor; Natural, medicated,Hypnobirthers etc!. She made sure my Husband was part of the entire experience. I ve met Corrinna when I was pregnant with my first daughter, I took her exercise class. Her class was always fun and I learned a lot not just about exercises. When I got pregnant with our second daughter, I was ready for home birth, and Corrinna was with us from day 1 basically. As we got closer to due date, she would come to our place, measure me, check the position and just talk to me and my husband. She made us very comfortable. Once the labor started she did not leave our side, she did not push me to do anything I did not want, it allowed me to relax as much as I could and our second daughter was born shortly after with no tearing or problems. Corrinna is amazing! After reading Ina May's guide to childbirth, I decided to have no drugs with the birth of my 2nd child. I was lucky enough to have been guided to Corrinna through my mid-wife. She took me through hypno-birthing and taught me so much about childbirth and being able to make my own decisions throughout the entire process. Because of her, our birth experience was so wonderful. I was able to do most of the labor at home. I was scheduled to do a water birth at North Fulton. However, the baby decided to come 27 minutes after I got to the hospital and before the tub was full. My husband was parking the car and almost missed it .. but Corrinna was there! I am pregnant again - 5 years later and she is the first person I reached out to for advice.
