BEYOND DISAPPOINTED! The quality, craftsmenship and customer service is mediocre at best. Spent over $60,000 on 21 windows, 2 doors and a shower install in 2025. Here are all of the calls/fixes we have needed; one window didn't open/close properly. One was missing a screen. The person came and literally just scraped the broken window frame with a knife and didn't bring the screen so that was another call and visit. The new storm door and frame somehow pinches themselves together if the wind blows it too hard when closing. The only way to open it is to eaither unscrew the frame and take the bottom of the door apart or rip the frame off the house if you're stuck outside (this happened twice before someone came). The "fix"- a few long screws strategically placed that look cheap and ridiculous. (I wish I could upload pics) But the actual window install went well enough that we made the mistake of thinking they would be good at replacing an old jet tub with a custom shower. The contract was signed on 11/11/25. Install was suppose to be in about 60 days. Once completed, the shower would be measured so the door could be ordered and installed 4 weeks later. The shower was completed 3/4/26. It looks ok. We were told it would be seemless except the corners but one was added and not centered so it looks a bit stupid and has gaps in the grout. We figured they could regrout when they came back with the door. On 3/25, 3 weeks later, we called to follow up because we had not heard anything. We were assured that the installers had measured and the door was ordered. The door install was scheduled for 4/9 from 10am-12pm. We get a call on 4/8 that they will just be measuring on 4/9 because NO ONE MEASURED THE DOOR. No one even noticed that no one even ordered the door until 1 day before the scheduled install. (And just an FYI, my husband forwarded pics of the newly installed shower on 3/25 because we were concerned about the small bumpout. This was not part of the original layout and we were concerned it would effect the door.) So we get 1 days notice and it will be at least 3-5 weeks late. (I cancelled 5 appointments for tomorrow's install!!) And every person we talked to today says the same thing, "Sorry, best we can do is measure tomorrow, order the door and hope it arrives in the 2-4 weeks". Not one person has said with any sincerity, "I'm sorry, this should not have happened. We dropped the ball." Alan told me "it wasn't his fault cause he is only suppose to order the door so I need to talk to someone else". The last guy, Matt D, said this is not how the company normally operates yet HUNG UP ON ME 4X! He said it was because he was using an app to call me. An app that hides his number. The 5th call back was using his actual phone. As I said in the beginning, we began this shower project 11/10/25, it is now 4/8/26 and the door has not been measured or ordered yet. If you are considering Wonder Windows don't. Just walk away. Once they get your money, they do not care about your business. read more

I had the worst possible experience I could have imagined with Wonder Windows when I started this project to replace 2 of my exterior doors. I would never recommend them to anyone for any project. This all started last January 2023. A Wonder Windows salesman George came to my house; we reviewed my options and he measured my existing doors. A contract was drawn up and I made a 50% down payment in January. In early February, someone else came to confirm the measurements that George took and the doors were ordered. They were custom doors as my two doors were unique sizes apparently. Time went by and in late July I finally got a call saying that my doors had arrived and we scheduled my installation of both doors to take place in early August over the course of 2 days. Door #1 was installed over the course of those 2 days, but the subcontractors who did the labor did a horrible job. The installation job was sloppy and unfinished and the door was even crooked with visible light coming through the cracks, clearly not sealed to the outside. Door #2 was even more problematic. The subcontractors ripped out my existing door, only to then tell me that the new custom door was the wrong size and couldn't be installed. One of the installation managers came to tell me this claiming that this was the fault of the manufacturer. I showed him the poor work on Door #1 to which he did apologize and an internal installer, Billy, was scheduled a couple weeks later to fix Door #1. As for Door #2, which was now a gaping hole into my house; a temporary door was put in that was makeshifted to fit the frame, that was also done very sloppy with exposed insulation and screws. When Billy came to fix Door #1 and his work was excellent. I had been told that Door #2 would be able to be installed as well because it was thought that the subcontractors just didn't know how to properly install it. Billy came and measured the the frame for Door #2 and told me that the custom door that had been ordered was the wrong size, it was too big. He confirmed that the measurements that had been taken by Wonder Windows, twice I might add, were incorrect. So it turns out it was Wonder Windows fault from the start, not the manufacturers. Door #2 was remeasured and reordered in early September. The installation manager, Gary, had promised me in the presence of my parents, that he would compensate me when this was all completed for all the trouble. Gary promised to check in periodically to update me on the progress of the new door for Door #2, but never called. Every time we spoke it was because I had reached out to him. It wasn't until after Thanksgiving 2023 that Gary had told me that Door #2 had finally arrived at the warehouse, but also told me that he was about to be let go from Wonder Windows. When I asked him who I could be in touch with about my project I never got an answer. Weeks went by and it wasn't until I sent a notarized letter directly to Mark Lazeroff, the Owner/President of Wonder Windows, demanding a response did I receive a text message regarding scheduling for the installation of Door #2. This didn't happen until December 27, 2023 because the only person I would let do the installation was Billy, as his work had been excellent. This whole time I had existing storm doors that were removed for the door replacement and had been unable to be reinstalled for some reason. Still at the end of December, Billy was unable to reinstall my existing storm doors. He had to come back in January 2024 to finally reinstall those. I had requested to speak with someone regarding this whole nightmare of a situation and Sarah from WW called and scheduled a time for Jeff, the new installation manager to come to my house to speak with me. That time came and went and Jeff never came. I had to call twice and spoke with multiple people to finally find out Jeff wasn't going to come. And of course, a few weeks later, I received an invoice for the full bill with no discount for my troubles that lasted an entire calendar year. I had to argue with them to reluctantly agree to give me a reasonable discount. This is a joke of a business and I would give them no stars if I could. read more

Wonder Windows would have 5 stars instead of 4 if it hadn't taken 9 long months to install our windows and door. They were up front about delays, which they claim are due to manufacturing and labor force depletion. Their installer Brian could not have been nicer or more skilled. He went the extra mile to trim out some odd angles in our old house. Although we waited for the job to be performed, the result is great! read more

I recently contacted Wonder Windows regarding an install they did a couple years ago. I initially had trouble getting through but, when I finally did their response was timely. Sara dispatched Don who arrived at the scheduled time to assess my issue. Don was unable to make the correction but vowed to come back the next day. True to his word Don returned completed the correction in about 20 minutes. Very pleased with they're follow up. They definitely stand behind their work and products. read more

Superb quality windows, workmanship good, installers gracious. But, corporate communication POOR even in light of COVID-19. I place order early November 2020 being cautioned materials delayed due to pandemic. Five months later, I called asking "what's status" and was told my order was, in effect, LOST. (fell off schedule). Every 12 weeks or so, I get a text declaring, "you're not forgotten, there's another 12 week delay" and so on. Cripes, and e-mail or text is impersonal. In light of exigent circumstance, I think an old-fashioned letter would've been appropriate. Installers just show up at door unannounced. It's recommended that installers make a courtesy call 30-60 minutes before arrival. Coporate, please improve customer communication. Coach installers to make courtesy call prior to arrival. Summary: total cost $1300. Order placed Nov 2020 and concluded July 2021. read more

We needed to replace a window due to a seal beak causing condensation between the window pane on a large window (3 glass sections with a picture window in the middle and casements on either side). We spoke with Wonder Windows at the Home Show and had them over for an estimate. We received a very thorough presentation, and received an estimate for the whole house. However due to budget constraints went with just the one window (though we believe the whole house estimate was fair). They install primarily Okna Brand windows which are manufactured in PA. In all the research I've done about Windows, I find that it really comes down to the quality of the installation and the quality of the service as many windows are similar, though I believe Okna to be a superior window. With regards to installation - The installer that came Andy, was excellent. He did a great job, was communicative, answered my questions and explained what they needed to do and how long it would take. The sent the wrong color flashing so he had to come back to finish- he came when he said he would, called me to keep me up to date and did a great job wrapping the molding. Though frankly I am not thrilled that the color of the flashing does not match the window. I guess I have to paint come the spring. As far as service. The salesperson, Tom, was communicative. Answered texts and phone calls and explained their pricing very well. The office called me to tell me when the window would be in and when they could install it, and contacted me ahead of time to inform me of a delay and reschedule . Bottom line: the window installation was great, and the window itself is of high quality. The service and communication were excellent as well. Aside from a half hour of painting on my part in the spring, I'd say my experience with WW has been extremely positive. Based on service and installation when I can afford to do my whole house, I would go with them. read more

They came to my duplex and provided a quote in writing. I signed paperwork and then they come out before they ordered the windows for a final measure and said they made a mistake - it would be ALOT more. They agreed to lower it but I still paid over. Then they trashed my tennants place. Fingerprints all over, took out window and put it on their couch whichleft dirt all over. They did not vacuum or pickup after themselves and completely abused the process. I called to let the owner know and said I don't want anything I just want to make you aware - I will send the photos. He said sometimes tennants embelish things ! I said what reason would they have to do that? What is in it for them? I won't use them again. read more

Supply and shipping issues made the wait exceptionally long but that was expected. Communication was generally good from July when the order was placed until installation in January. I was disappointed that the install was pushed until after Christmas as I was assured it would be late November or early December. Very impressed with both installation teams. They were very mindful of protecting the floors and furniture and cleaning up when they finished. They worked quickly and for the most part quietly so I could also do my work (I work from home) The windows themselves are fantastic! No more drafts or rattling when there's even a slight breeze. I'm waiting to see the next RG&E bill to find out how much heat we were losing. read more

Of course the process was slowed by COVID, but that isn't Wonder Windows issue. When they were able to get them they were out. The team who did the installation was fantastic. They were great with my dog who can bark and jump a lot, they wore masks and kept my family safe, and most important the windows look Amazing. They did an incredible job on the interior trim and matched the old wood work in my house perfectly. It's as though the windows were original but obviously not from the 30's when the house was built. I recently had Wonder Windows (a division of BSL Direct) replace a few windows in my property. Their quote was the lowest, and the new vinyl replacement windows appear to be decent quality and are holding up very well thus far. Although it took a bit longer to schedule the installation than expected, all of their staff was responsive and professional. I plan to use them again in the future. read more

We went with Wonder Windows. Out of the three estimates, Wonder came in at half of the other two estimates. The first two guys just doodled on a pad and mysteriously came up with a number... while trash talking all of the other local companies.The salesman from Wonder brought a window sample and explained all of the parts and features. He then measured each window to be replaced and immediately entered the info on an iPad. When he was done he presented us with a detailed estimate, something that no one else did. The windows had to be ordered, but it only took a few weeks and the installation was flawless. I will definitely be using them again read more

I had a sliding glass door put in May 18, 2018. The crew left pizza and cigarette buds in my yard. My dog got sick and was throwing up everywhere from the items the crew left in my yard. The crew offered to put in a light outside my door for me so I took a special trip to the store to get the items and they never put it in. I was promised that it would be a clean install and I wouldn't have to refinish anything but there is a huge messy piece of dry wall above my door. And worst of all when they left they didn't even clean the window. I called the company to discuss this and after a MONTH of going back and fourth they decided to just pay my vet bill. I spent a lot of money on this door and they don't care at all about the stress and phone calls I had to endure to deal with their mistakes! I would not recommend this company and will never use them again. read more

Dear everyone in Buffalo and Rochester, do NOT hire Wonder Windows. They did a number of things wrong during installation. We requested that they come back to complete the work that was on our contract and fix the items that were done poorly. They came back and failed to complete all the items that were agreed upon and we caught them trying to cut corners when filling a window by putting nothing between the newly filled window and the siding to the outside of the house. Had we not caught them in the act of covering up their bad work, we would have never seen it and the only barrier between the outside of the house and our bathroom would have been a thin piece of plastic siding on the outside of the house. There were so many other issues...Not removing the hinges from the old windows, in the kitchen, leaving gaps so big on the sides of the windows that you could literally put your finger OUTSIDE from the side of the window. I could go on, but the real issue is their customer service... After their second attempt of fulfilling their contract, we of course reached out in regard to the items that were in our agreement that weren't completed as well as the work that was done badly. Charlie, one of their employees, came back several weeks later to look at the work and agreed that the work was poor and incomplete. He said he wanted a third chance to come fix it, but we decided that they can't be trusted and would prefer that they remove the items that weren't completed from our bill and give us a discount for the items that were done so poorly we will have to fix them ourselves. Charlie told us the CFO would contact us to work out an appropriate adjustment to our bill. A few days later the sales manager called us for payment, and after discussing the issues with the work we had he offered nowhere near enough off of our bill for the work that we will have to completely redo because of their botched work. He threatened legal action, to which we let him know that we have pictures showing the bad work and have no problem sharing them with the world. The sales manager became irate and told me that he would come to my house as "not a part of Wonder Windows" and that he "used to kick people's teeth in." After that threat we had to go through an insane amount of back and forth and arguing to get a manager. When it became clear that we were going to report his threat of physical violence he tried to say "it was just a joke." Well threatening to come to someone's home to hurt them is not a joke. It is serious. Especially when the person doing the threatening has access to our home address. Eventually he put us on the phone with another man, who did not identify himself. He refused to acknowledge that his employee threatened us. Said "I'm sorry you feel threatened" and "I doubt he said that." When I told him "I don't feel threatened, he threatened us. He did say that. Those were his exact words." The new man told me that I'm too upset and that he will end the call and reach out another time. We have not gotten a resolution from Wonder Windows yet. We will be filing a police report and reporting this to the Better Business Bureau. read more
