I found Trinity Home renovations through Yelp and used the Yelp platform for roofing to book an estimate for our roof. John (the owner) contacted me right away. I found this process pretty easy and would highly recommend Yelp for booking estimates. We ended up getting three local roofer quotes through Yelp but ultimately decided on John and his company due to their price, level of professionalism, and explanation of the roofing process. What we also appreciated was that he was not a pushy salesperson, he explained to me the process of the roofing process in simple terms. We also liked that he had lots of proven references from reviews printed out and he also had a piece of literature he gave that he mentioned his wife wrote so people who weren't in the industry would understand the whole process. For us, that really helped. I had did my research before about GAF certified contractors in the area and knowing that they were a Master Elite level contractor gave us confidence they would do a good job and offer the best warranty. Throughout the process, John and Jenny communicated to us well and even when we had trouble deciding on our shingle color, they delivered three sample colors of actual shingles so we could decide. We ended up going with a color that John helped us pick up since we trusted his judgment. The rain had delayed our start date on the roof but John and Jenny always communicated us if the date was pushed back and John always personally answered his cell phone whenever we needed to get a hold of them. Jenny dealt with our tear off and replacement of our roof and it took 2 days. They cleaned our lawn in-between and got rid of the dumpster afterwards very efficiently. My husband dealt with the roofing team and they were very knowledgeable, professional and diligent. Our chimney was very old so they arranged to consult with a masonry before working on it. We have no complaints and would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to get their roof done. We also needed to get a chimney cap and a duct vent replaced and they added it to our roof cost at a very affordable price. We are thoroughly pleased with our new roof! read more

Called on 7/15, left clear message requesting discussion/ quote for exterior door replacement and masonry (front stoop needs repair). Received no return call as of 7/29. Poor business practice. 7/30/18 Owner has responded (adding 1 star) and I will follow up; will change review further as warranted. 7/31/18 Had candid conversation with John, the owner, and it sounds like since my needs don't match what Trinity focuses on, someone may have overlooked or disregarded my message. I appreciated his candor and do indeed get the sense that he cares deeply about the work Trinity does and his company's reputation. I would have very much preferred a quick phone call at the outset to this process but all's well and I can respect John for his direct manner. Upgrading to 3 stars, and I imagine if I had work done by them, the rating would be higher. read more

Their website says they do roof repairs and through a Yelp request for repairs and messaging back , they said they do not do repairs. So, they need to change their information and not waste time of the people who need roof repairs. The second star is for at least having the courtesy to respond. That's better than most. read more

I have utilized Trinity Home Renovations for multiple projects on my home. A few years ago, we had a problem with water that had severely affected our roof. We got a few quotes, including one from John Hoagland, the owner of Trinity Home Renovations. His manner, professionalism and knowledge made choosing Trinity an easy choice to replace the roof and gutters. We have since used Trinity to replace the siding on our house, multiple windows, and install a back patio door. They are responsive and great to work with, including coming out after a wind storm to replace a piece of siding that was affected by the wind. I highly recommend Trinity Home Renovations. read more

Don't be fooled by the positive reviews on here, Trinity "home renovations" has been nothing short of rude, apathetic, and downright nasty. Asked them about replacing a section of our roof that was severely leaking as well as a general fixing of our gutter system. Customer rep basically told my husband and I to f right off, they "don't do repairs",;so much for doing renovations as stated LITERALLY in their name. They also had a problem with our location, was snarky about the particular neighborhood, and barely bothered to ask about the roof and instead had quite the inappropriate curiosity with our backgrounds. Is this how professional businesses operate these days? Real low. But don't think thats the end of it. Their daughter was extremely ill-mannered and presumptuous. Doesn't seem to helping that she also is embroiled in a controversy where she stole a large sum of money from unsuspecting customers. My husband was shocked from her behavior; if the Trinity business wants to get tactless with those who come from different environments, then consider this fair game. Your family and your daughter made my sexist, alcohol-addicted uncle look pretty good in comparison. Real nice job raising your kid, I'II say. If you're not white or rich, expect your number to be blocked and fall victim to unprofessional mouths. Shame on your company and family. And for Aubrey, I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. read more

Trinity is a great company to work with. Jenny was very professional in her estimate. Tons of literature on our options and ideas. The roof crew was also professional and polite. We had a tear off done and they were on the site on time and had the whole tear off and new roof done the same day and the dumpster was gone minutes after they were done. Nice looking roof. Other companies we had estimates with were pushy and not caring. Not Trinity, they were awesome. The best part was the price. read more

To warn any that want to deal strick with an owner, call someone else, People sent to your house that have no experience with gutters, you get sub contractor that no show at your house, no warranty provided and an on and on the aggravation goes on. Shows right on time to get paid for sure, no care that your gutters are leaking worse than your old ones. Communication is not even existed, other reputable tradesman to roofing and gutter are out there, and you deal and meet owner. The old way is the better way. People took pride in their companies, not just out to see how to split your hard earned money between themselves. Just because TV commercials have money spent to get your attention, the contractor that works to support his family is your better bet!! read more

Did LOTS of damage to walls. Fixed it however poked holes in my roof to install vent. Created massive mold issue. Also Cory, the site foreman, puts things where HE wants them. Asked to have vanity/sink placed 6 inches from left wall. There is only 1 1/2 inch clearance! FUN trying to paint the wall after install. DO NOT HIRE THESE HACKS!!! read more

After a roof inspection in March, a new roof was recommended. John, the owner of Trinity Home Renovations, gave me a detailed estimate including all the materials and manufacturer. I was able to use this information to make an informed decision on both the accuracy of the cost estimate and the durability of the product he was recommending. While the estimate was designated as good for 30 days, John was willing to extend this date when the process for getting my home equity loan took longer than expected. The work was projected to start mid-May, with the exact date to be determined both by work scheduled prior to mine and the unpredictable delays caused by our rainy, Rochester spring. John consistently communicated when to expect the work to start and provided constant updates based on where my job was in the queue. He called on the Thursday prior to the start date and said work would be begin on Monday, 5/19 at 8:00. John and the work crew arrived exactly on time. John told me to expect most of the work to be done within two days. The work on the soffit vents would follow the next day. The chimney work was to be completed once the roof was finished. All the work was completed exactly within the time John estimated. The work was done quickly and efficiently. Clean-up was excellent. Out of the thousands of nails that must have come out of the old roof, I found only two near the back stairs. I would definitely use Trinity Home Renovations for other major projects that I might need in the future. read more

My house needed a new roof, there was major water if a few rooms. John gave me the best quote within my budget. He was very thorough in what needed to be done and what to do upon running into deeper problems. I was very pleased with progress of the project. I waited so long to be able to do this I was glad it didn't drag on. John and Keith went above and beyond what they said they would do. The roof is awesome! The ceilings and walls have been repaired and look so good! He replaced all the windows in the house and on our upstairs 3 season room. I am excited to spend time out there this summer. LOVED!!!! I had two VERY bad experiences with contractors in the past so I was nervous to say the least. We met John because of Neighbor Works which is a grant program for city residents. You are given the choice of 3 contractors which you meet with and they bid out the job. We went with Trinity because of John... We loved his presentation of other jobs he did and he was a mellow and low pressure kind of guy and he stayed that way for the entire job. If there was a problem that came up, he told me "don't worry about it, I'll take care of it" - AND HE DID!! They completed the job in about 3 weeks and were on time every day!
