We ordered gutters for our home - Dripaway Gutters, an extension of Marshall's - and were quoted an excellent price. Even with recent storms our area had received, we were able to get on the schedule quickly. Our gutters were installed in a few days due to the size of house and it looks like our home got a complete facelift. They were clean and efficient with clean up of old materials - we had old gutter attachments still on the house in certain areas, and they disposed of it with ease. Our home looks beautiful and the gutters worked wonders at helping dry out our basement. read more

Always professional top quality workmanship. I've done four projects at two different homes with Marshall Exteriors since 2019. The latest in Fairport, NY. A new deck and storm door out to it during the last week of December 2023, replacing a 20+ year old one. The finished product will last more than 20 years. It's amazing. After that we decided to replace almost all our windows due to heat loss. (They were the original single pane crank outs) That was just done 2/28&2/29/24. We wondered why it would be two days after watching a heavily advertised window company replace another unit's in 6 hours! Well, it's because they did it right! Installed with wrap, insulation, and all the outside and inside finishing work. The sales rep, office contacts and crews are always professional and easy to work with. It was noted by several neighbors that Marshall exteriors really know what they are doing. The difference is noticeable already. I wish I had pictures of the windows before and after, as more marketing for your windows and doors is needed! read more

We had Marshalls replace our roof 5 years ago. We were very impressed with the quality, service and professionalism with everyone we encountered. Our roof still looks great, they made sure nothing was left behind. We recently had a piece of fascia that was starting to pull away due to the heavy winds. I received a phone call from one of the Marshall employees that happened to go past the house and see the fascia and they offered to send someone out and fix it. Great customer service! read more

My wife and I had to wait15 years to put up a retractable awning and after shopping around we picked Marshall Exterior. They weren't the cheapest or the most expensive but what a job they did. We were impressed right from appointment confirmation to the final warranty review. Window replacement for an older home...not impressed. We wanted to stay with a local company hoping they took pride in their work. The windows themselves are not high quality (don't even consider getting the crank windows they are the worst I've ever seen and tried to use). The wrong style window sashes were put in. Then the wrong sized window sash was put in. After months of complaining the owner became pushy and expected payment before the job was completed. The window installation needed to be re-done on some of the windows as they were hard to open. The windows are not level in any dimension and all of the trim will need to be re-done. They probably do fine with newer construction but we will take our business elsewhere and there's a lot of work to be done here. read more

While doing our research for new windows, and our project we concluded Marshall's was the most expensive, however we heard really good feedback. We wanted a company that was local. One item that really stuck out for this company, compared with others, was that you did not have to make any payments until the job was complete. My husband and I praised the company for this while signing our contract. When signing the contract, my husband and I read every word. Make sure you do this, we found a few errors that were key to our project and was key to our agreement on the price. After months of waiting for any word, we received less than 48 hours notice for our installation of our windows. My husband and I had to rearrange our work schedules to accommodate this. When our windows were placed, my husband and I noticed an error in the wrong type of window installed. Due to this, there was a month delay in completion of our project. During this time, Marshall's harassed us for a full payment. When we noted our contract said when the job was 100% complete, they continued to harass us. We received multiple emails, phone calls, and even had Marshal Exterior employees show up at our home demanding a payment. I can recall my husband and I putting away groceries while one such phone call came in. We were unable to get to the phone in time. Within minutes a Marshall Exterior employee showed up at our home demanding a payment. We never received any apology or remorse when we emailed management regarding this experience. On the day our project was complete of course we kept our word, and paid in full. Looking ahead, we would like to install exterior doors, and a new bay window. However, with our overall experience with Marshall's it will probably be with an other company. Sadly, this means it will have to be a accompany outside of Newark. read more

Our attic windows were damaged during a high wind session. After insurance covered the cost, they replaced the windows and they did a great job with them. They even took the old windows they replaced. read more

I do not recommend them at all! They don't keep appointments and tell lies to cover up the wrongs.

Called on a Friday and they installed the following Tuesday. The installers were courteous and professional. The roof looks awesome and nothing was left behind. You never could tell they were here. Thank you Marshall. read more

They have worked at my home twice now.... They replaced my rotting tin roof on my wrap-a-round porch with nice new shingles(looks so good) and built me a new main entry porch with roof. Great owner and employees. All work done at my home was completed on time or ahead of schedule. Yard was spotless when they left. I would not go with anybody else. Thank You !!! read more

They have very good tools to show what house will like like with new roof and color chosen. It took awhile to get someone out for estimate so they were the last ones to provide an estimate. I like the way the remove roof with buckets so they don't drop all over your landscaping. Unfortunately their estimate was extremely inflated from other estimates for the exact same work, exact same materials. In fact over $8,000 more! Not sure I totally understand why so high. Maybe because insurance was covering it?!? When i discussed with owner/estimator he really didn't have an answer. Since I get a pro discount at Home Depot and many times 10% at Lowe's it never made sense. He stated they don't get discounts from suppliers. Really??? I must have had stupid written on my forehead that day for him to make that statement. My discounts are bigger than theirs. That statement lost all credibility with me since I know better. They may do great work but I'm not about to overpay for no reason at all. I may chose to have an estimate for other work that is not insurance related to see if they are more competitive when it's my money. There are many other qualified contractors with good reputations to chose from. read more
