We called to have a few outdoor construction repairs done. We received no response for over two…read moreweeks. A representative finally came and gave us an estimate for the jobs. The work was scheduled for a few weeks later. The original estimate seemed high, but we agreed to the terms. The employee did a good job for the first day. Then we were told to complete the last project would require a change with a small increase in price to use some 4 x 4 instead of some 2 x 4 lumber.The work was completed on the second day by the employee and was satisfactory. The problem is when we received an $800 increase in the final bill. When we questioned why the final bill was increased by such a large amount, the owner did not give a reasonable explanation that we felt was acceptable . We reluctantly paid the final bill under protest.

Siding was falling off on our new construction home and not level. We are a small section of new…read morebuilds and other neighbors have had the same issues and more that we have had. When rep came to house to take pics as a positive reference we declined and politely asked him to leave. He then turned around and took pics anyways. He was back again this week parked at the end of our street and walking through yards asking more neighbors for reference pics. Again he ignored us asking him to leave walking around again taking pics. Police were called.

We had an awful experience with Al Longo. His crew built an unsafe deck and he straight up will not…read moreanswer us. We had to pay thousands to a different contractor to made the deck useable and safe.

We hired Al Longo of Deck Builders to build a deck that required a building permit along with…read moreperiodic inspections by our Town Code Enforcement Office. During the framing phase, the deck did not pass inspection. Al was provided with input to rectify the issues (lack of appropriate drainage, per code). Not only did Al not acknowledge that there was a drainage issue, and he also didn't review any Town code requirements for drainage prior to to starting construction. At this point, Al refused to continue to work with the Town to rectify the issue and/or come up with alternative solutions. He proceeded to treat all of us in a completely unacceptable and unprofessional manner (to put it mildly) and the agreement had to be terminated. He left us hanging by refusing to continue to work with the Town. WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE DO ANY BUSINESS WHATSOEVER WITH AL LONGO AND DECK BUILDERS, ALSO KNOWN AS DECK KING.
