He told my wife and I he didn't care if we used Fingerlakes construction to build the 24X36 as he called it our "Hobby barn" since he doesn't make any money off of them and he is only interested in big projects like Dairy barns and Equestrian projects. Wow what a salesman! Their price was the best and they could work with in our timeline so we ended up going with them for the construction. The lead Foreman on the job and his crew were very nice and great to deal with. November of 2017, 5 years later and I am back dealing with FLC for an issue with all of the lower metal trim pieces rusting. The website states "40 year warranty on siliconized paint on roll form steel" When I first reached out to the office I talked with a nice guy who was going to come out and inspect the issues. A week later, lucky me, Richard Krebs the initial salesman calls me. He tells the barn is too close to the road so road salt has caused the rust. Nope the barn is 300 from the road! Then he says the barn must be below grade and sits in water. Nope that is crazy as the barn is built up and if that was true there would be standing water on the floor! So he finally says he will stop and take a look. Now knowing the attitude and terrible customer service skills from Mr.Krebs, I chose to reach out to a manager, Bill Murray. Bill has always been nice and polite to deal with compared to Richard but still hasn't really done a thing for my issue! I get another call from Richard and he says he has problems seeing the pieces with the snow (there was very little on the ground) but will replace them per Bill Murrays request. May of 2018, 6 months from my initial request I still don't have the replacements to fix the rusted trim on my barn. I have placed multiple calls to the company and have sent and saved over 25 emails. Oh if they do show up did I mention I have to replace them myself! I agreed to that months ago to speed up the process. This process has not been speedy! What warranty works makes you do the work yourself?? It would be like buying a new vehicle and having an engine problem, the manufacturer tells you we will give you a new engine but you have to change it yourself. It's been months since the parts were supposedly made for me but they can't seem to find anyone to deliver them. When this started Richard Krebs was out to my house within 2 days to give me reasons why the parts would not be covered. I get one excuse after another on why the pieces have not been delivered. At this point and the time I have invested I would have been better off taking the pieces off and having them power coated myself. Do yourself a favor and don't use FLC they do not stand behind the warranty they quote!

I can just imagine how he communicates with customers after they get the job! Very poor service! would not recommend.

He was back again this week parked at the end of our street and walking through yards asking more neighbors for reference pics. Again he ignored us asking him to leave walking around again taking pics. Police were called.

We hired Al Longo of Deck Builders to build a deck that required a building permit along with…read moreperiodic inspections by our Town Code Enforcement Office. During the framing phase, the deck did not pass inspection. Al was provided with input to rectify the issues (lack of appropriate drainage, per code). Not only did Al not acknowledge that there was a drainage issue, and he also didn't review any Town code requirements for drainage prior to to starting construction. At this point, Al refused to continue to work with the Town to rectify the issue and/or come up with alternative solutions. He proceeded to treat all of us in a completely unacceptable and unprofessional manner (to put it mildly) and the agreement had to be terminated. He left us hanging by refusing to continue to work with the Town. WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE DO ANY BUSINESS WHATSOEVER WITH AL LONGO AND DECK BUILDERS, ALSO KNOWN AS DECK KING.

He didn't call my sister back after she left 3 messages asking for the free quote that he advertised. He picks only job where he can mark materials way up to make more on a job. Second, when I hired him, I was leery about his professionalism and skill set from the beginning due to his lack of education and professional training yet gave him the job anyways since he undercut our family contractor by quite a bit. About 2 months into the project, I began getting calls from the material suppliers indicating that Tim (he business owner) had not paid for the materials for my job. There were kitchen cabinets, driveway materials, lumber and even electrical components. I WAS GETTING CONTACTED BY THE VENDORS who were looking for payment from Tim Bounds. I reviewed my contract with Bounds Building and Remodeling and just as I knew it read when I signed it, my contract was for the job's labor AND materials. I finished paying the second half of my contract 3 weeks before he even completed the work (the work he did still has issues but there is NO way I am ever letting this guy back in my house, I have been calling new contractors to fix his work) This guy, Tim Bounds, obviously doesn't pay his vendors and his customers end up feeling the stress of his lacking professionalism. I wouldn't hire this creep again if my life depended on it.
