We moved back to Rochester from out of state and bought a home in Fairport that needed some updating and a major renovation that included taking two bedrooms and making them into one large bedroom suite with an expanded bathroom and large walk-in closet. In addition to that, they also replaced 3 closet door sets, 2 exterior doors, replaced several light fixtures and ceiling fans and installed a new ceiling fan, replaced toilets, etc....DJ and his partner were given full access to the house and they were there every day, like clock work for almost 5 weeks and the place looks beautiful. They were prompt, courteous, polite, tidy and very skilled. Their work habits and attention to detail, etc...speaks volumes. DJ even acted as my agent and helped see other projects get done while he was doing his thing (garage floor epoxy, whole house generator install, appliance delivery and moving-he put a covering on the wood floors so they wouldn't get damaged, etc....) They weren't the lowest quote we received, but not the highest either. We had a somewhat aggressive timeline and they were the only ones who said they could do it. They worked into the late evening a few times just to make sure they did. Communication was very good, especially when we were not there one single day during the project, but 4 states away. If there was a question, DJ called. If I didn't answer, he would move on to something else until he got ahold of me and had the question answered. I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures of our project posted on his website. The bathroom, especially the tiling, gets alot of "ahhhs" and "oooohs" and a couple other contractors (working for HD) have looked at it and were impressed as well. Even our painter positively commented on it and he usually isn't complimentary :) Don't let their age keep you from hiring Dede. You'll swear they are 10-15 yrs older than they are. We look forward to having him do our other full bath in a couple months once we recuperate from moving in. Awful as the purported young owner was very disrespectful, and even called my repairs-needed property a derogatory name! And that was after he tried to hustle me with different outrageous estimates of repair costs! In my opinion, I would not recommend him or his business to anyone! Period. ------- And they have the audacity to reply and falsely accuse me of making a false statement, especially after calling my needed-repairs property, "a piece of shit" house?! A ridiculous fallacy on their part in adding insult to injury! I NEVER "shouted" about my genuine concerns as to the apparent coincidence in getting a code enforcement letter right after their visit to my property and their visual "inspection" of it! Let them try anything, I would gladly sue them out of business! read more

We hired DeDe Construction to update one small powder room, and two full bathrooms in our home. After requesting an estimate through email, the reply from DJ Alercia, the owner, was timely in less than 12 hours. DJ was able to arrange an estimate the following day and arrived promptly on the day and time agreed upon. After viewing the project, DJ offered his advice and expertise on how to best achieve our desired results. He said he would provide a detailed quote the following day and true to his word he did so. We hired DeDe Construction & DJ provided a start date and a detailed day by day timeline of the work to be completed. DJ and his partner Oleg arrived on time each day and went directly to work, completing the daily tasks expertly, efficiently and with attention to detail. From precise cuts on tile, to double waterproofing appropriate areas in the bathrooms, they always strove to doing the best possible job in every aspect of their work. Communication during the project was exemplary and we were shown the progress of their endeavors during each phase of the remodel, so that we were satisfied with the quality of the work performed. During our entire interaction with DJ and Oleg, they were always friendly, courteous and respectful to us and our home, cleaning up at the end of each day. DJ even voluntarily picked up several items we had purchased from various stores that were too large for our vehicle, with no qualms about doing so. DJ and Oleg completed the remodel of the three bathrooms ahead of schedule and the quality of the work, of which my expectations were high, was better than I expected. They showed first-rate dedication and workmanship providing prime, aesthetically prominent results. I would highly recommend DeDe Construction for any home improvements due to the aforementioned reasons, plus their first rate craftsmanship and they being all around nice young men.
