Wonder bar is very, very loud with music blaring to the point of ridiculous. Wonder bar is colorful and a bit goofy. Wonder Bar is meant for a younger crowd, methinks. Lots of places to take cute pictures for your social media outlet. Drinks served in kitschy containers such as a capped topo chico bottle, mini patron bottles and disco ball cups. In the bright sun of early afternoon, I found it to be a bit garish and the music level was over the top. The patio could use some serious shade and the interior feels a bit bare and lacks depth, with most of the tricks and imagery spread out against a few walls. The drinks are relying on the packaging to charge premium $12 prices for a standard cocktail and the food is an afterthought. I will try this place again late night and see if it has a different feel. I was torn to give them 3 vs 4 stars but the concept is novel and I am curious how it holds up on the 2nd visit. Also, many of the kiddos were totally in it for the pic and seemed to dig it, so maybe I am just not their target audience. read more

Racist dress code. It's pretty comical that a trash bar at a MALL even has a dress code to begin with. My husband got stopped outside by the bouncer for wearing joggers- on a Sunday afternoon. We were let in after the second bouncer stopped the first one and was like it's fine. Pretty sure it was just because my husband is white. This was immediately after a bachelorette party of WOC was turned away. Pretty disgusting if you ask me. Didn't even order drinks and based on the other reviews I'm glad I didn't spend a dime here. Super cute internal decor! Our group got a coin each to spin the wheel; each coin was $10. Every spin's a winner basically: me and a friend won a blowjob shot, another person won the store t shirt, and my other friend won the grand prize (which was her choice of a sex toy). If you're already in the area, I think it's a fun bar. But this place had a lot of hype, and it feels like a short lived instagram trend. The service is hit or miss, you really have to find your way to a bartender (even when you're sitting at the bar and its not even that crowded yet as it's a wens after work). I mean its fun, but maybe a place just for one drink. Also very expensive bar for the domain- and we're talking about the domain! $12 a cocktail. Idk to me this was just one of those places that was over hyped, but I can see it being fun on a night out. Went here at 11PM on a Saturday. It was super packed (as to be expected at that time) so it was hard to take pictures with the displays. Would definitely recommend going during the day if you're wanting to get some good pics. Lots of older weirdo creeper guys there. My friend bought a lone star beer and it was 9 DOLLARS...which is insane. My small mixed drink was 8. The duck room was dirty, the ducks were partly brown. Bathrooms were small af. Wonder Bar -- right in the heart of Rock Rose. You can't miss the rainbow signage and colorful bar! Walking in, it's like you're immersed in, literally, a wonderland. I love that the IGworthy decor at Wonder Bar is constantly changing. They've updated the room backgrounds and props for every major holiday. I've seen it from rubber duckies to USA flags, to eggplant emojis to an eerie coffin. I am excited for what they have in store for the Christmas holiday season! Outside in the patio, you can take photos on the banana swings, or grab some friends and lay across the swing bed with the neon signage background. The music here is awesome. Not a huge EDM fan, so when the DJ will throws in some 90's Pop classics to get the crowd going, I'm all for it! I haven't personally ordered a specialty Wonder Bar cocktail, but will definitely give it a try next time I'm out. read more

Went to the soft open and the place is super fun inside - colorful decorations, friendly staff, and tons of fun and inventive photo ops. Reminiscent of other experiences curated for Instagram (Rosé Mansion, Museum of Ice Cream, etc) but without the extra price tag of entry which is awesome. Cute spot for a date or maybe a small party with friends. My only problem with Wonder Bar was how sugary the drinks were. My bf and I ordered the Disco Bull and their take on the Moscow Mule and both were so sweet we had a hard time finishing them. I get that it's kind of a carnival-themed bar, but I don't want to feel like I'm getting diabetes with every sip. My tip is to order one themed drink and then stick to your regular go-to beer or mixed drink after. Big on fun, a little less so on substance, overall worth a visit! read more

I just have to say my two cents about what happened at Wonder Bar Domain tonight. We were not allowed in tonight. Because of my nephew's and brother in laws shoes. "Apparently". They were in nice, button down shirts and nice jeans, and wearing expensive Jordans. The door guy refused to let them in bc of their "tennis shoe policy". Immediately after that, I watched him allow three guys (white guys) wearing stupid ass new balance and asics tennis shoes into Wonder Bar. I confronted the door guy and the cops even agreed with us that it was discrimination bc they were Mexican. DjRandom Rey .... Wonder Bar is such a cute addition to Rock Rose and definitely gives the right kind of appeal for a fun night out. There is a secret room that has a million ducks and a prize wheel that you can spin to win something fun! There is a smallish outside patio that had a cute little cloud swing/chair and some banana swings to sway back and forth on. The disco bull is probably the most iconic drink on their menu with a bit of Red Bull and ginger beer, served in a disco cup that drips everywhere if you don't drink fast enough! So before going for my birthday, in a big group, I was reading all of the reviews and getting slightly worried. BUT we had a fantastic experience. All of our group dressed up nice, no one, including the guys, had any issues getting in. The doorman was sweet and the rest of the staff were as well. It was a little hot in some areas, but it was packed in there. Even being packed, it wasn't too bad of a wait to get to the photo areas. Our bartender, Coco, was very sweet. I really tried to like this bar. The first time I brought a few people from work and one of my co-workers almost slid backwards upon sitting on the cheap plastic chess piece-like stools. Wondering who thought it'd be a good idea to buy plastic stools and place them on a slippery floor (no carpet) to begin with. The service was terrible and I was passed over a bunch and eventually gave up trying to get a drink. Mind you it was like 6pm. The 2nd time, met up with friends and decided to try out the instagrammable props. I hate places that claim they're inclusive but it's only performative and when it's convenient for them. Bouncer was giving me a hard time about being let in when I had a valid government issued id, I am of age and was being patient. He kept telling me to show him a different id but this is my id and I even offered to show them my debit card with the same name or have them scan it, but the white guy at the door was not listening to us and kept repeating to me to show him a different id. Went out to celebrate my friends birthday and this interaction ruined my night. They made it such a huge deal when I've been out of state multiple times and never have had problems with my identification. Only when I told them we were leaving because they were being racist is when they finally listened to me and let me show them my debit card like I had offered in the first place. Oof. This place is very appealing and looks like so much fun. The music is fun and you can actually dance to it and there are cool parts of the place where you can take pictures and just have a good time. However, when I came here on a Thursday night around 9pm (thinking that not a lot of people will be here cause it's Thursday and people usually come out later in the evening to bars), I did not feel safe as many people did not have their mask on, there was no social distancing at all, even with the DJ, and it just did not feel safe so we left after one drink. The next day, we decide to have dinner at the same area and as we were walking past Wonder Bar, there was a huge line out the door and when I took a peak inside, once again, fully packed bar with nobody wearing masks, including the DJ. read more
