I didn't know what type of massage I would be getting as I don't have any specific issues but my body is sore periodically. James knew just what I needed because I had the most invigorating massage starting from my head and my shoulders down. He worked on lymph nodes and inflammation spots and the touch was perfect. My first time here and it was a very cool experience. The office and the room where my treatment took place was very relaxing and decorated appropriately in a peaceful and calm aesthetic. It was very nice meeting you James and I will be back.

Relationships, grief and even at times has helped address some unexplained physical pain. Most of my sessions have been for reiki but also highly recommend the mental clarity sessions. It takes time, like all things, but even after just one session he will leave you feeling mentally and emotionally in a much better place. James is very gifted and intuitive. This has been proven true more than once in the 5 years as a client of his. I live in Los Angeles and the drive to his Downey office is very much worth it.

This review is long overdue: I have waited, wished and even dreamt for a BIPOC-led, body positive…read moreand overall inclusive yoga studio in the east LA. And guess what? People's Yoga in Monterey Park (near ELAC) exceeds my wildest dreams. This single studio with wooden-floors and plants is homey and yet located on the second floor of a plaza and across from the metro station (Atlantic stop). It's truly a delight - not to mention the one and only Latina-owned yoga studio is the area (if not LA?). My favorite class is "Body Soft" on Thursday nights at 7pm with Diane. This class is for those that want to ease into yoga (a.k.a. Beginners) or those who need to chill from a long work week. But...please don't meditate into sleep. Yes, rarely does snorting ensue. On-site parking is available and the studio provides all the equipment and even water, just bring your own water bottle. Pre-registration is recommended as the studio only accommodates so many people. If the single class price is steep for your budget, check out their packages as they offer a built-in discount. Also, first timers can try out a monthly on a discount. For the yogis or yogis in training, you may be interested in their training program. Personally, I'm not a fan of virtual movement classes because I prefer to be in-person, but for those on a shoe string budget that may an option. Either way, I LOVE People's Yoga! Shout out to Leah and Lauren, co-founders, Latina mama business owners, and yoga instructors. Their dream to open this brick and mortar became a reality years ago and has been going strong for years.

Peoples Yoga was the first and is still one of the only yoga studios in East LA and that something to be proud of. The classes are high quality and professional. They are masters of their craft and you can tell. They have varying levels of difficulty so there is something here for everyone. As a man who thought he was strong enough and needed something pretty advanced I quickly realized I was a beginner lol. Truth is yoga is something that is true core strength combined with mobility. So I felt the challenge! But, the beginner classes are great for people who need a more approachable starting point. I also very much enjoy the meditative and holistic approach to classes. Every class I have attended had some challenge and made you sweat a bit, but also had a calming meditative portion that leaves you feeling centered and in touch with your inner spirit. Overall, I highly recommend this yoga studio. They are a true gem in our community.

She and her husband and Mom have done it for years- great people. I cannot imagine life without this daily practice- If you are feeling a bit stressed or uneasy in today's environment- this is a great way to balance your inner mind- nobody tells you to do or think anything- it's basically thinking.... And creating a positive outlook for you! I personally listen to Bob Roth daily- meditate and absolutely feel so much better -

TM has proven to be extremely effective at stress reduction and helping my nervous system get healthy. I've tried all types of breathwork (4-7-8, box breathing, etc.), acupressure, mindful meditation, etc. with inconsistent results. TM had an impact immediately, and I fully expect the impact to grow over time. I wished I'd known about this years ago. One of the most effective health practices I've found. Cindy and Barry are the perfect people to train people on TM. Extremely nice and approachable, and very knowledgeable. They demystified TM and taught proper technique to maximize results. Very fortunately to have had them as trainers.
