I had a truly positive experience with Transcendental Meditation. The instructors were genuine role models--patient, knowledgeable, and deeply supportive throughout the entire process. They created a calm, welcoming environment that made it easy to learn and feel comfortable practicing. I leave each session feeling more grounded and clear-minded. I'm very grateful for their guidance and highly recommend this program to anyone interested in learning meditation in a structured and meaningful way read more

Excellent practice- zero pressure- not a cult- learn and alway's know you can attend a check session with your instructor- my instructor "Carol Travis" - Ithaca, New York- one of the most wonderful teachers of TM - very kind person. She and her husband and Mom have done it for years- great people. I cannot imagine life without this daily practice- If you are feeling a bit stressed or uneasy in today's environment- this is a great way to balance your inner mind- nobody tells you to do or think anything- it's basically thinking.... And creating a positive outlook for you! I personally listen to Bob Roth daily- meditate and absolutely feel so much better - read more

What a pleasant surprise. My wife talked me into (reluctantly) taking the TM class. I was skeptical and wasn't sure there would be much value. I couldn't have been more wrong. TM has proven to be extremely effective at stress reduction and helping my nervous system get healthy. I've tried all types of breathwork (4-7-8, box breathing, etc.), acupressure, mindful meditation, etc. with inconsistent results. TM had an impact immediately, and I fully expect the impact to grow over time. I wished I'd known about this years ago. One of the most effective health practices I've found. Cindy and Barry are the perfect people to train people on TM. Extremely nice and approachable, and very knowledgeable. They demystified TM and taught proper technique to maximize results. Very fortunately to have had them as trainers. read more

Great experience and recommend it for anybody who need some time to relax and reflect.

I have been practicing TM for about two years now and it has helped tremendously with my mental health. I experienced a lot of anxiety from the COVID pandemic and I was desperate for something to help. When I started TM I was on two anxiety medications. Since starting I have been able to stop one of the medications and reduce the other by half. Cindy and Barry are great teachers who really go above and beyond to help their students. The value of the TM classes has been great and worth every penny. They are starting to host events at the TM center and I'm excited to meet more like-minded individuals. read more

Taking the TM course with Cindy has been such a game-changer for me. I came in feeling stressed and scattered, and now I genuinely feel calmer, more focused, and just better equipped to handle life. The way Cindy explained everything made it easy to understand and even easier to stick with. I was surprised by how quickly I started noticing the benefits--better sleep, more energy during the day, and just an overall sense of peace I hadn't felt in a long time. If you're even slightly curious about TM, I can't recommend this enough. It's simple, it works, and Cindy makes the whole experience super comfortable and enjoyable. Definitely worth it! read more

Barry's and Cindy's guidance and re-introduction into TM is by far the best gift I could have given to myself. When I first connected with them they greeted me with openness and a sincere desire to support my personal goals. Additionally, their willingness to share their experiences allowed me see that despite the many storms in life you can be in a place of stillness and peace. Dedication and devotion for the greatness and happiness of others is what fuels and drives these two remarkable souls. I truly value the long history and credibility of TM and these two individuals that embrace its powerful yet unassuming influence in one's life. read more

To Cindy, (City of Orange Meditation Center) Its only my 2nd month and I must tell you, I am really enjoying and am impressed with your daily group meditations. Your teachings are clear, easy to follow and filled with a generosity of spirit. As a business trainer, I really appreciate your dedication and care. You and Barry are cream of the crop! I am finding it relatively easy to stick to my 2x a day routine, no matter where I am. I find it really makes a difference. Having the group meditation you do personally on zoom is such a wonderful treat!  I find it is helpful for me to establish a time frame so my body is being gently trained into calming down. Love that! I also find it very soothing and supportive to hear your voice and Know there are so many other souls joining. I know and resonate with the idea of the "power of the group". It works the same with prayer groups. Quantum physics says like attracts like, so it seems logical to me, that my meditation is actually very sound and deep when it's with the group. There's something so reassuring, comforting and just downright fun to being part of a collective. I go deeper, I don't want to stop when we are in that zone of peace and stillness. Thank you so much for sharing your time, talent and wisdom every single day.  I feel very lucky Love, Sandra read more

I am a very type A person. I have never believed in things like this before and probably would have called it Hocas Pocas! My wife tried it and I noticed a big difference in her. She insisted that I try it prior to a long trip to Idaho. All I can say is just after one session with Cindy I felt something amazing. I was very calm and yet very aware. After a couple of more TM exercises at gas stations on my 2 day trip to Idaho, It felt like some kind of smart drug, it was magical! I am not exaggerating at all. Now this TM is a regular part of my day. I usually jump into my work day about 15 minutes after finishing my TM. I am able to multitask and work at an efficiency level I never experienced before. The effects from TM last about 2-3 hours for me and the efficiency gained far exceeds the 40 minute a day commitment. My blood pressure has also been significantly reduced. This is not something that is difficult at all and the benifits are transformational & life changing!!!!! read more

I've participated in Barry and Cindy's groups off and on for over 14 years. I tend to check in periodically every few years to year. The both of them I have found very personable and have helped me work through difficult periods of my life where I have felt disconnected from others. The both of them are very calm and can help you cultivate a nicer life for yourself. If you feel TM is your calling these are great individuals to work with. read more

Transcendental Meditation is the best and this center and Barry and Cindy Katz are excellent teachers

It was a great experience and have continued to practice as instructed. I already feel less stress and its so relaxing and easy to do.

Cindy and Barry are an amazing. They are kind and welcoming and their knowledge and experience in TM is impressive. I would not want to learn this technique from any other teachers. So grateful I've been referred to them. About TM: my issue with other meditation techniques was that I could never really focus on the technique itself. To me it's a paradox having to focus on something when all I want is to completely relax, unwind and reach a deeper level of consciousness. This is exactly what TM promises and delivers. It's the easiest technique that you will ever find. This is seriously a life changer. My husband told me after only doing it for 3 days that my energies have completely changed. I am more at peace in my mind, I am more confident in my work and less bothered by things I was frustrated by. Highly recommend!!!!! read more

Cindy and Barry are a blessing to me and I am so grateful that they have come into my life. I had tried all different kinds of meditation and none of them worked. This one is so effortless that even someone with severe ADHD can do it. My life is becoming more orderly by the day. My energy levels and concentration have greatly increased. This is magical. This is truly one of the best things to happen to me. Thank you Cindy and Barry for being you. You guys are phenomenal!!!! read more

I was encouraged to try TM by my husband after going through everything stage 3 breast cancer brings and the debilitating depression it left in its aftermath. I was lost & broken. I was very reluctant to learn TM at first because I felt it was too much money to spend on myself and I really doubted the benefits that were being promised. Learning TM with Barry and Cindy Katz has been truly life changing. You can tell within minutes of meeting them that they are both passionate about TM and care deeply for those they teach. Barry is animated and funny; Cindy is soft spoken with a caring and nurturing presence. Overall, I feel more calm and I'm better at dealing with stress. I was recently diagnosed with cancer again; I felt at peace with the news. I did what needed to be done but I never felt turmoil or fear and best of all - I was able to really listen and absorb all the information that was being given by my medical team. I'm so grateful to God, my husband, Cindy and Barry for the tranquility and joy that now belong to me. read more

Have been meditating since 1975. Works great. Not for everyone, however. Some people read more into it than it is. It's not a cult or a religion. TM is the original article; simple and straightforward. No special clothing, chanting, worship, or candles required. No special temples or special places needed. Just a few quiet minutes twice a day, once in the morning, once in the afternoon or evening. read more

I've been practicing TM now for a month and a half. I feel is fortunate to find Cindy as she could not be better - kind, gentle, and a great teacher. I was at the end of my rope, suffering from debilitating anxiety and exhaustion, and within a couple of weeks began to feel different - more relaxed and hopeful, calmer and even happier. I did not expect that the changes would be felt so quickly. Now, a month and a half later, during a very challenging time in our country - yesterday was the election - and Covid seemingly everywhere, I am still strangely calm and I can even say happy! I'm reading about transcendental meditation and watched videos and attending webcasts - slowly, as I am able - and look forward to continued and deeper involvement with the program. So grateful - beyond words. read more

I don't think I mentioned it before, but the basic instruction includes lifetime checking. I learned almost 5 years ago now, and I still go every few months for a tune-up (and also to meet nice people). Cindy and Barry are still the best. Thank you! Dr. Rosenthal has another book, Super Mind (2016), which I'm excited to read. Also, if you google TM, you'll find interviews by the likes of Ray Dalio, Howard Stern, Cameron Diaz, Jerry Seinfeld, etc., etc., all of whom credit TM for helping them with their personal and professional lives. In fact, Ray Dalio says, "it's the single biggest influence on my life" in speaking about his outstanding success as a hedge fund manager. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/ray-dalio-featured-in-dr-normal-rosenthal-book-super-mind-152727852.html But it's not just celebrities, who rave. When you go for checking, you'll hear from people, who have taken it up to overcome trauma, deal with health conditions, manage stress, etc., etc., etc. It's an investment that pays off for the rest of one's life, and we're so fortunate to have Cindy and Barry here as tireless (or what appears to be tireless) instructors. They themselves are great examples. read more

Cindy and Barry are such an awesome couple! I took my 12 year old seed who has ADHD and we both didn't know what to expect other than the information that Cindy had advised us to review on the website prior to class. Cindy spent an hour on the phone with me going into detail on the background and history of TM and what their mission was all about. She took the time to answer all of my questions and made me feel so comfortable going into this uncharted territory. Barry was just as supportive and was a really great teacher for my seed. He was patient, kind, and I could tell that my seed had learned effectively from him. I'm glad that we shared a mother and seed experience together and now we make it our daily ritual to meditate twice a day. Thanks so much Cindy and Barry! Hope to see you soon for our advanced classes! read more

I have been meditating 4 months in what has been a very difficult period in my life. This has really helped me deal with things in a more positive way.I still go back to TM centre for evening meditations as often as I can as this is a very peaceful place.Tm takes no effort only to commit to doing it regularly. I have met some great people here but the best part is teachers Barry and Cindy who have approx 80 years combined experience. These are 2 of the most genuine, caring, bright and supportive people I have ever met and treat everyone wonderfully. These people restored my faith in humanity especially in our modern culture when we don't always get to see the good in people. Thanks Barry and Cindy for your continued care and support and if anyone is considering TM I highly recommend it as its been the best thing I've ever done for myself and only wish I had done it years ago. read more

After having tried different ways to meditate over 35 years, mostly NOT practicing, but always interested and sometimes trying, I decided to try TM, figuring that if someone just told me what to do, I might be inclined to get my practice going and stick with it. After about one month, I have easily stayed with the practice of 2x/day for 20 minutes each time. Nobody is more amazed than me as I can be quite undisciplined and a procrastinator. Also amazing is the secret ingredient to the success of this method: it's easy. For me, it proved to be immediately effective. I actually look forward to my practice rather than seeing it as another chore. The practice is enjoyable and the results are continuing to reveal themselves to me in new ways every day. Its elegant simplicity is taught by certified TM teachers. Cindy and Barry Katz are long time certified TM teachers. They are the real deal. They make this experience be about the meditation practice, not about them. The TM center in Orange is homey, inviting and comfortable with great energy. The clientele is diverse. There is no BS, no philosophy to believe in, no judgment. I leave each time feeling better, more peaceful and more content. I believe meditation can help me become the best version of myself. I haven't suffered from trauma, am not an anxious person nor particularly stressed out. Everyone can benefit from meditation regardless of who or where one is in life. I highly recommend TM method, and this center with Cindy and Barry Katz in particular. read more

The best meditation experience I've ever had. I started 4 months ago with TM and it has been a life changer! I came in because I was having bad anxiety attacks on a daily basis and didn't know how to cope with high-level work stress. I am a completely different person now, but in a good way. Initial visit is an info session. If you decide to go through with TM, you must visit (I believe) four consecutive days. You must complete these all in a row. Heads up, meetings can go very long...But seriously you won't regret it. Yeah it might be pricey, but you can break up the payments in 4 installments. Honestly, looking back you won't even care that you spent it on this. Cindy and Barry Katz are such great people, I'm glad I got them as my coaches. Bottom line- HIGHLY RECOMMEND TM of Orange. read more

My brother recommended I try TM, but before I did, I researched quite extensively online (http://www.tm.org, and http://www.davidlynchfoundation.org). I saw many articles and videos on public figures I've known for a long time talking about the benefits of Transcendental Meditation (Ellen DeGeneres, Oprah, Jerry Seinfeld, and even Howard Stern). While my initial response to hearing of TM was that it sounded a bit odd ... after researching, and actually after having started doing it myself, it's the most natural thing there is! So easy, and very rewarding! I realized my life had been so hectic I rarely took any time for myself, and stress just continued to build ... leaving me less effective. I knew stress was affecting my health, work, and relationships. I'd experienced challenges with my sleep, and felt overwhelmed with "to do" lists where I seemed to add more daily than I crossed off in accomplishing! While I felt fairly productive, my days were more frustrating than rewarding - with TM, that is changing! Learning TM with Barry and Cindy Katz has been amazing! I've truly enjoyed working with them and after a very short time, consider them both lifelong friends. I greatly appreciate the work they do and service they provide. Very knowledgeable in their field, they both come from very accomplished professional careers before deciding to teach TM as their primary mission. Meeting them you'll know they certainly have passion for what they do, and care deeply for those they serve. I started TM as a way to "add" time to my day with the goal to actually accomplish more - and while it may sound strange that taking time out to meditate can add more time to my day ... it has! How? You should go and find out for yourself ... that is if you are interested in having a deeper rest at night, more clarity during the day, greater patience when needed ... and an added dose of creative thinking back into your life! Best gift I've given myself in a very long time! Don't you deserve it too? read more

I have known Barry and Cindy for over 20 years and learned at a TM center they ran in Tustin in 1995. You will not find a couple who are more dedicated and caring than them. Learning TM was by far the most valuable, incredible, life-changing thing I've ever done. In over 20 years of practicing, I have almost never missed a meditation, except in very extra-ordinary circumstances. The experience during meditation is deep peace, and a soft, quiet, calm pure wakefulness that is deeply charming and rejuvenating. The benefits I've experienced from this are better health, freedom from insomnia (which I had very badly before learning TM), and more of an ability to enjoy life with less stress as well as being more resistant to accumulating stress. I absolutely recommend TM and can think of hardly any couple better to teach you TM than Barry and Cindy. Go to a free introductory lecture and see for yourself. You will not regret it! read more
