I don't know Kyle personally - this review is based on paying to be in his live masterclass $140 paid and not getting the info about the live or link or replay because apparently I misspelled an email they tell me today after the live occurred yesterday and I wasn't sent the link. There was no understanding, compassion or integrity with this honest mistake and I was told to pay $101 to get the replay and have lifetime access. It pains me to tarnish an otherwise perfect 5 star rating, but the way this business handled canceling an event rubbed us the wrong way. We've recently been trying out multiple sound bath practitioners to find a good fit. We've been hesitant to try Kyle Lam because, frankly, his sound baths are some of the most expensive in the area. To the point, we booked a sound bath reservation and it was canceled a couple of days before the event. The cancellation offered a discount for a couple of days that same week, but with such short notice, we couldn't attend any of those dates. We reached out to the business on Instagram asking for the discount to be applied to one of their future events and they said no. This might seem trivial, but it's honestly just bad business. So incredible!! I happened to find Kyle on Instagram and decided to sign up for an Advanced class, Chakra Experience: Sound + Energy Healing w/ Esoteric Acupuncture. I was a bit nervous because I would consider myself still a beginner in some regards on my meditation/spiritual journey, but decided to go for it anyway! I'm so grateful that I did because I was able to meet 4 truly incredible professionals, as well as a nice group of people attending. Kyle, along with Dr. Chan and Annie, were amazing! (Also, briefly Violet who conducted a card reading pre-class, she was very intuitive!) They started by getting the group situated on the coziest meditation mats/pillows, then moved into introducing themselves and the intention for the session. From there, I was swept away into the amazing 20 minute or so breath work session led by Annie, then we moved into the encompassing sound bath with Kyle while getting acupuncture from Dr. Chan. During the experience, Annie also went around with her healing energy. While it may seem like a lot of moving parts at first, the parts blended together so well. I just attended a sound bath event with Kyle and fellow practitioner Annie. It was an amazing experience. This event not only included the sound bath but they incorporated, breathwork, IET and a meditation. I have attended other sound baths in the past hosted by other people and they were a good experience, but with Kyle. He has this amazing set up with huge gongs and extra large sound bowls. I feel like the sounds and the vibration from these instruments made the experience even better. It really made it easier to connect and go to the meditation space. The atmosphere was beautiful, they had "candlelight". If you're a newbie attendie they had blankets they loaned out for a small fee. Which I recommend lots of blankets, a soft mat, a pillow and maybe a bolster for under your knees and lots of water. Everybody was very kind and welcoming. If you want to go alone its great and you can meet new people. Or go with friends and vibe out and relax. At first I wasn't sure if I should even go. I am a mom and I have a full time job and my job is an hour away from home without traffic. Sometimes it takes me two hours to go home. Suffice it to say I was feeling a little guilty that I was going to this two hour event that's half an hour away from home and I wasn't spending time with my family. Then I thought to myself if not now when? When am I ever going to do something for just me to keep my cup full? I never have time for myself and this was the perfect opportunity to carve some time for myself and my self care. It was the best investment for myself. I did not regret it or one second. As soon as my body entered that room I felt the tension on my shoulders melt away. Thank you Kyle and Annie for hosting events such as these for us. Thank you that a lot of them are in the evening. Every detail was taken care of ~ we had the event at MDitate in Newport Beach ~ the room was set up with mats, comfy blankets, bolsters and individual seats for each attendee.
