I've been a member here for nearly five years. I'm usually a get in and get out type of gym-goer and there're a few regular staff members I'll briefly chat with. They've always been friendly and I've never had any issues with them. I've also been able to get in my workouts. Despite there being the typical rush that happens at nearly all major gyms, I've never really had a problem getting to the equipment I wanted to use or substituting it for something else. However, this review is regarding my most recent experience signing up my fiancée. She needed a gym to just get her walking and cardio in so I went in a few weeks ago before a workout and Chris helped me get her signed up with zero issues at all. I tend to ask a lot of questions when going through any process and at no point in me asking did he seem annoyed, pestered or like I was bothering him. He was so helpful in explaining the terms of the contract, cost and making sure everything was totally clear before moving forward. I appreciate that so much and it's obvious Chris cares about helping newcomers trying to get signed up. Super pleasant which makes the environment one that someone can feel comfortable training in and calling this their home gym. This review is for the ladies - if you're for a gym that feels semi-private where you can get your fitness journey going.. this is such a good place to start. The gym has everything you need - the equipment is all functional most of the time and there's multiple machines for each body section. There are lots of free weights and I'm a big fan of the turf section for stretching and working plyos. The gym during the morning hours is really pretty chill and the normal members are so nice. the atmosphere is honestly really on point. it's not a skeevy commercial gym. sure there's things that can improve (some of the morning shift people being late and not opening on time), but i'm really happy with this place overall If you don't have a membership and need one, go in and talk to Chris. he was really nice when i signed up. Wasn't oversold, I knew the rules and got a solid walk around of the gym. i asked questions and i felt good about the answers i got. Coming from a girl, I feel like he answered all my questions and I felt confident signing up for this gym. he's THE guy if you have membership questions I've been coming here for months and this place really takes care of all my needs. membership is worth the money and this is def my home gym for the long term read more

Disappointed in whoever has been working on Sundays this past month or 2. I've showed up at least 3 times over this past month around 8am on Sundays and the gym is not open. I've been going to this gym for the past 6 years and am seriously debating on getting a membership elsewhere. read more

I've been coming here for over 8 years, but since COVID, management and accountability have clearly declined. I work out early, around 5am on weekdays and 8am on weekends and the gym opening on time during the week is inconsistent. Weights are often left out from the night before, and trash is frequently on the floor. This reflects poor oversight. Today, 45 minutes into my workout, I was asked to show my check-in card, even though both two employee were at the front desk when I entered and scanned in. When I questioned it, I was told they didn't see me scan, so I rescanned. I did mention to the employee that they should keep the computers logged into the app that checks in members. Both computers are not always logged in giving a false impression when the scanner light is flashing, because computer is on. In the next 15-20 minutes, I saw multiple people walk in without scanning while staff remained at the desk. I felt singled out. After my workout, I asked to speak with the manager and found out it was the same person who questioned me, Roy. Based on this interaction, there's a clear lack of customer service, consistency, and accountability. Given the current management, I don't have confidence that concerns about cleanliness, member interactions or operations will be addressed. read more

My wife and I have been members since it opened. We love the gym, but the manager needs to learn how to manage. To be honest, a new one is warranted. The weekend opening staff is notorious for not showing up. This is disrespectful to the members and a reflection of the quality of management. I've been a member here for over 10 years. There are two issues that are concerning. 1) equipment repairs seem to take long. 2) late opening: no accountability, no back up plan, management is reluctant to take responsibility and answer is... employees' fault ?? Got there at 7:00 today 4/26/26..not open. It has opened late on Sunday three times since February 2026. I went to this gym to help a teenage family friend cancel his membership due to an unexpected move. I'm not a member myself. The front desk person, who turned out to be the general manager, was rude and dismissive when we asked about canceling--stating there was a $99 termination fee and snapping at me, "Don't you know what's in the contract?" (It wasn't even my contract.) When I asked to speak to a manager, he said, "I'm the general manager," then out of the blue called me a racist, claiming I was surprised he was both the manager and Black. He called me a racist a couple more times and said he's used to racist people in Orange. I contacted Fitness 19's chief operating officer about this incident and received no response, which is also telling. Avoid this gym as long as Roy (Leroy Gonzales Jr.) is the manager. read more

I spoke with the manager and he sincerely apologized for the fact that gym not opened on time. The employee who was supposed to open gym at 7 was in a car accident. Under those circumstances and because manager Roy was genuinely sorry for the mistake I am increasing my rating. read more

This gym is pathetic. Yeah the membership is cheap but honestly, it should be cheaper. Equipment is falling apart/broken half the time. The hours are inconsistent. I've shown up here at 5am (the posted opening time) and people are waiting outside until 5:40ish when an employee finally showed up. I've also had it close early! Been asked to leave even though the gym is still stated to be open. Pretty frustrating when you're consistent but your gym is not. Would give a half star if I could. Only redeeming factor is that the front desk is friendly. read more

1/26/26, I just received a call from someone at this gym threatening to send my daughter's account, who is mentally handicapped, to collections. They said they would charge me for several months. I canceled my daughter's account in December, but they refused to accept the cancellation. The person I spoke to said they wanted to "educate" me on this matter instead of educating their employees on how to treat someone with special needs with more respect. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GYM AT ALL. read more

Before joining a gym inspect the conditions of the equipment before you commit to there fees. It's troubling they increase your fees without advising which is stated in the contract. My point is don't increase fees if you are not maintaining your equipment in a timely manner. read more

If you have the premium multi location fitness 19 membership, well this one won't honor it. Spoke with DA ( cool dude, don't get me wrong) which was strict on $15 day pass "goes towards membership" but still didn't let me workout even tho I explained I wasn't told that my more expensive membership doesn't really include all the fit19 gyms. Drove 20 minutes to get shut down. If I was his position and seen someone on a business trip trying to take care of his health, I would let them better themselves rather than deny them entry unless they paid. But you can also tell this gym doesn't meet the gym vibes look. Dark, old equipment and egotistic staff who sit on their phones on the desk instead of the front check in counter greeting gym people who are bettering their lives at 8am on a Saturday. I signed up for Fitness 19 in Orange through OnePass and brought my registration sheet to Roy, the manager, who seemed cool at first. I asked if I needed a key card to sign in, and he said, "No man, you're cool." I assumed that meant in general, but he meant just that day. So after a few days of not signing in, he confronted me, accusing me of not knowing how. I reminded him of our earlier conversation, but he got defensive. He had me download the app to scan a barcode, which I did, then reluctantly gave me a physical key card when I asked. Weeks later, I forgot the card and used the app--only to find the barcode didn't work. Roy got an attitude again, blamed me, then rushed through giving me my membership number, which I misheard. He yelled the corrections at me like I was an idiot. The first time I let it go. But this pattern of disrespect is enough--I'm switching to another gym through OnePass. read more

It is 630am and I am sitting in the parking lot with others waiting to see if the gym is going to open. Being a few minutes late is understandable. And hour and a half and still not open is borderline false advertising. Do better. read more

Horrible customer service. I've tried to quit this gym for 3 - 4 months and even gone into talk in person. They are still billing me. The manager LeRoy is a difficult to deal with. He's be always ambiguous with the terms of the gym. Get everything in writing --- from the gym, not sent to your computer-- if should sign up with them. I recently found out Active and Fit no longer is part of this gym or other gyms. Fair enough. So I cancelled my membership and am currently seeking for a new gym. Keep in mind, I had not been to this specific location in over 700 days, and only been a handful of times pre pandemic. The reason I've considered this gym is so I can workout with my girlfriend because she is a member at a different location. When I tried to get a guest pass (which is free online) to see if I enjoyed this gym at the time I am able to go at, the manager over phone told me I would have to pay. Online is says free 5 day guest pass. Safe to say, cheap management like that is a clear sign to STAY AWAY. From what I recall too, the gym is pretty small, so it's pretty important to see if it gets busy at a certain time to know what ur signing up for. You blew a $15 guest pass for a potential new member. Crunch fitness is MUCH more practical and just a few miles away. Even 24 hour which is 1 mile away is a better option. read more

I recently finished 12 sessions of core balance and strengthening at Fitness 19 in Orange, CA. I am 62 and had never done ANY core work in my life. I hoped that it would help with playing the drums, tennis and living an active lifestyle. It was a great educational experience. My trainer Brooke Jaso was top notch. She had the uncanny ability to pinpoint exactly what I needed, how much to push, which exercises were best to help me get results. My stomach got tighter, and my posture improved! Brooke educated me on how the body works, and how core strengthening is vital. I would recommend everyone to go get some training, no matter your needs are with her. She is sweet, professional and will get you in shape! 5 stars in my BOOK, or should I say BROOKE! Thanks again. I will be back! read more

I didn't have many expectations for this gym, as it's not as popular or common compared to 24hour or LA fitness. My main goal for me and my husband was the availability of machines and the abundance. I was pleasantly surprised to see that their treadmills were high-tech!! Ilove connecting my iwatch to it and having it add my workout without me having to fumble Iwith my watch. In addition, I love that I can watch a show while i'm on the treadmill too! Other gyms have a screen on the treadmill but they never work. I also love that they're open way later than most gyms in the area. Who would've thought?! I wish they had a sauna though, but it's okay because the other stuff make up for it. read more

This gym is okay to work out at if the equipment actually gets fixed in a timely manner, but the Manager Roy is absolutely toxic. I work out a few times a week and if he is there he is either yelling/arguing with the employees, working out instead of actually working or outside smoking. He is rude to the customers, I've heard some stories from other gym members of him being condescending to them. The day shift employees are great(when I go). Always smiling, helpful, and actually clean the gym. If there was somewhere on their actual website with a way to complain about this Manager I definitely would. I figured hopefully someone above him would see this and take into consideration all of these horrible reviews on him and take it seriously, this location will lose business due to this manager and I use the title loosely. Gym reviews are atypical for me -- reason being: gym conditions vary from time to time; however, i can definitely admit that this club is the best all-around club that i have been to. Mr. Martin you should be ashamed of yourself on how you treated a former loyal customer of 6 years! Now my so called Lifetime Membership Card and contracts I'm holding are nothing more more than worthless pieces of paper and Fitness 19 refuses to allow me to use the 12 prepaid Personal Trainer Sessions for NO VALID REASON!!!
