Hot Pilates sculpt with Petrina is one of the most challenging classes I've ever taken in my life, and I'm no stranger to HITT workouts! A few notes for brand-new folks: The bikram 60-80 minute classes are slightly more intense and disciplined than your typical chain yoga studio (for example it's usually frowned upon to take water breaks in between postures; obviously you can take water if you need it but just general practice). I enjoy this style personally but know that the bikram approach is different and not for everyone so you're not thrown off guard. The Pilates classes and the other classes they offer (vinyasa, stretching, etc.) are more standard and what you would expect though. Make sure to listen to your body and not push it past the point of sharp stabbing pain, I'd recommend giving a heads up to the instructor beforehand if you're rehabbing an injury for help with modifications (especially if you're taking a bikram class). Lastly, this studio will not hesitate to lock you out if you arrive even a minute late as there is typically no front desk staff (it's studio policy), so make sure to be on time and early if possible since spots get filled up fast for the popular classes.

First let's talk pros: Pros: -good parking lot - the yoga itself was good for all levels, including beginners. Cons: - the studio had a CRAZY rule of once you enter you can't leave as the instructor put it "we start together and we end together". - in the middle of the session my allergies started going crazy. So I started sniffing my nose (cause allergies), and the instructor legit says "no runny noses, just breathing" like I could control it ?! lol - the class was also WAY overbooked- I think the studio could fit 10 people comfortably, but there must've been like 20 of us. I felt bad as I was super close to another attendee. - and finally as the class was ending there was no real ending, he legit was walking out the door and was like namaste. I was like wtf? Hahaha Anyways if you're looking to try a hot yoga class maybe not this place.

After the trial, I honestly wasn't planning on joining, but after taking Jason S's class I changed my mind His strength yoga class is my favorite. Plan to arrive early in case you have to park across the street. My main issues are with the strict membership policy and the crowdedness inside the studio. Most instructors are talented not only in their practice but in teaching their students. I learn and follow best by seeing a demonstration not just listening to a lecture. I had an instructor that just used the mic to give directions without showing us. One class resembled a karaoke session which was fun the first couple songs but it was dark and I couldn't see beyond the bodies next to me (they're closer than you think btw). I wasn't sure if I was using the correct form, where the instructor was, or what we were supposed to be doing. Fine for the advanced yogis but leaving us beginners lost. Overall I enjoy attending most classes here. A big issue is it's so crowded. During class you're almost on top of each other so much so that they have to stagger who bends where. The walkways get so congested and I didn't even take a chance with the locker rooms bc the people in there looked like sardines. I see so many studios other than Ra popping up left and right that it would probably benefit them to open up more locations.

This is one of the best things I have done for myself, and I thank God I landed on this location in…read moreparticular. After struggling with being motivated to exercise, I saw an ad on IG about a free intro class. Since the video had people using a machine (reformer), I thought I could do this more than yoga which is more unsupported. Also, I've tried at home vids before and I felt that I did not know the correct forms bec I did not have an instructor to notice and correct my positions. What encouraged me to try it out was after I filled out the free intro class form online, the person who called me seemed so nice and competent, even asking about any physical challenges I may have. At this point esp with a free class, there was no reason for me not to try it out! Bec of the person who called me, I felt they would understand such as if I had a hard time, etc. When I did the intro class with Mildraide (who soon became one of my favorites), I was shaking with some of the exercises, but she did not make me feel like a failure. She also greeted me with a genuine welcoming kind smile, so even if she has more of a drilling style, I did not feel intimidated. I left still pondering if I should do it, but what sold me was from that first class, I felt I could stand up taller, my limbs were more flexible, and I had a spring on my step. I am so glad one of their staff members, Cameron, convinced me because I have become healthier from doing pilates and always encourage my friends to try. This review is also for one of my other favorite instructors, Yulia, who's classically trained in pilates. Ever since I started taking her classes, I saw a big difference in the mirror and pictures and I am not so bloated and my shape is more defined. Honestly, that alone will make me keep on going, but I love the stress release and boost I get from exercising. I have since upgraded to 8 classes per month because my body started to crave the exercise. I almost want to gatekeep Yulia's class cause I never want to have to be on a waitlist, but I hope she will work at this location for a very long time. I am honestly impressed by the variety of exercises and how she knows how many reps are reasonable to expect per level. I since moved up to her level 1.5 bec I know it's appropriate to the level and won't leave me discouraged or incapable. She's very professional and never humiliates. The other instructors and staff are also great, particularly at this location. I think there is a special happy and caring feeling in this particular site, and whenever I have questions or need help about my account, I get really helpful responses. So all in all, this is just as excellent as a pilates club can be.

I've been to multiple Pilates studios now and I thought I'd try this out. Relentless texting & calling when booking the first class! An email sure but 0 of the other Pilates studios would 1) call me 2) text me to call them 3) call me to confirm I want to come to class & then text me to confirm?? I ended up cancelling because I didn't want to be sucked into any conversation. Every Pilates studios I've been to I receive a welcome email with instructions & essentials, walk-in, work out & walk out. If this is the kind of communication you prefer, then I'm sure it's a great fit for you!

I think it's time that I update my review considering I have been attending classes at Yoga108…read moreregularly for 8 years now. I'm a big fan of this studio. It's on the smaller side with 2 rooms, a heated and a non-heated. They offer vinyasa classes for 60 or 75 minutes, yoga sculpt, yin yoga, and strength & conditioning. Depending on which instructor's class you take, it may be more or less difficult. And trust me, they get difficult! I truly find the staff to be so pleasant, and they always remember me, welcoming me warmly, even when I haven't been for a month or 2. They also offer teacher trainings, community kirtan nights and international yoga retreats. I truly can't say enough about how much I enjoy coming here. The studio is a clean, serene space that immediately makes me feel calm, even when I'm sweating like crazy from the powerful yoga moves. There really is something to be said for practicing yoga in a studio environment, and Yoga108 is a wonderful one.
