Sauce was not very flavorful and crust was little too thick for my liking. We also order a BBQ pulled pork platter. The pork was tender and had some flavor but not covered in sauce. The baked beans were dry - like they had sat out all day. The creamed corn was also dry and tasted canned. The corn bread was tender and had a flavor of jalapeños (maybe) but wasn't spicy. We ordered late afternoon during the week so maybe things would be better/fresher tasting during a peak time.

So naturally, I got the Brisket Platter which came with two sides. I was a little disappointed that they were out of baked beans but no big deal. The Brisket along with the two sides was very satisfying. Very good amounts of food and such a tender brisket! Interestingly, this place serves breakfast all day long. So my friend ordered the French Toast for dinner. I tried some and it was very well made! I really liked the syrup and the vanilla icing that came with it. Everything here was on point. The food, service, portions, and pricing. I have absolutely no complaints and wholeheartedly recommend Grillin N Chillin

The brisket was AMAZING!!!! The depth of flavor from the smokiness or the tender brisket to the bbq sauce on top - it was soooo good! The pulled pork was lean (my picky eating daughter ate it all)!! The chicken in the Soprano was super crispy and flavorful. The hot honey chicken was hot, but great! Next time, we'd ask for the sauce on the side so we could take the spice, but that's the only thing we'd change. So glad to have a place like this in north cape May! Highly recommend giving this place a go!!!!!

The food is always made very quickly to boot, I place the order on the phone and it's always been ready within 15 minutes. I would highly recommend any of their BBQ platters. They come in pretty big portions that allow for 2 sides on top of that. I also really like their Loaded Cheese Fries with Pulled Pork. Everything on their menu is delicious and has huge servings, you will always be satisfied after every meal from them. The only criticism I have of the place is that I wish they didn't close so early. They close their doors at 7PM which is prime dinnertime. I think they would make a lot more money if they stayed open for 2 hours later. I did have to skip them a few times I wanted their food because it was 7:30 and they were already closed. Having their menu online would help greatly too But other than that, it's an awesome place.

Ordered chicken finger and fries, the woman at the counter hipped me to their tails which were white meat and large pieces breaded perfectly. I haven't tried their fingers but compared to any other place I've ever had chicken fingers hands down the tails beat them. I asked for a sweet and spicey sauce Tina suggested the house sauce it was delicious as well. Got two sides with the platter chose reg fries and Cole slaw each were complimentary to the tails done just right got home with the order and shared with my wife who loved it. Had enough fries to let her have s few and she loved the slaw I call it shore slaw because it reminds me how much I love living at the shore. To top it off the order was up in no time I had went out to wait. The bartender catered to the locals and had her little chitchat going. Do you restaurant owners not realize that there are people coming in and out of town at all times and on various days and we may work in service industries and maybe even the restaurants/hospitality industry I ordered whatever the burger is with the Gorgonzola cheese and it wasn't bad but it wasn't great. Between the burger the bun the tomato and the onion was hard to get your mouth around but it wasn't really worth it to stretch your mouth that far. You had a choice of fries or salad and I chose the fries. In all honesty I've been in Cape May for a week now and have eaten out nearly every day and had some outstanding fries and I would swear these were yesterday's fries if not yesterday's fries from somebody else's plate. I asked the bartender if these were the normal presentation of the fries she said "oh yes they're hand cut fries" my question would be hand cut when and fried when? They were overdone and mushy. . And after exchange the bartender adopted a pissy attitude. Here's my thing to the managers/owners of this establishment: I have worked in various forms in hospitality and customer service. I'm also an older person, consumer, frequent visitor of restaurants and bars. Take this however you will. It's a Tuesday afternoon... The servers and the service and the food should be exactly the fucking same as it is on Friday and Saturday night. Feel free to contact me if I said anything out of line. PS I'm an interim innkeeper in Cape May and I will definitely be steering people away from your restaurant even though I've had decent experiences in the past. There's too much competition out there for too few dollars. Smarten up
