Although I stay in Stone Harbor- I do not enjoy the substandard food and the insanely high prices. Wildwood and Rio Grande are way better options for me. I called at around 3:55 pm on Saturday and the phone was promptly answered- I ordered a cheese pizza, sausage pizza, and a steak Stromboli. I was quoted 25-30 minutes and it's around an 18 minute drive. Easy peasy drive down the parkway exit 4b then a right at the very first light. Nice generous parking lot with awesome stores to boot!! I also spotted ARC Thrift too. Definitely a place I may investigate further as the week goes by. When I arrived my order was promptly ready and the young man at the cash register offered me paper plates after I paid. My order was around 66$. Very reasonable. The steak Stromboli was loaded with steak- absolutely delicious! The mozzarella they used in it was fantastic too! The pizza was fantastic made with high quality ingredients and a generous amount of cheese. I really liked how the restaurant punched a hole in the top of the Stromboli box with a very generous cup of sauce- none of these tiny one ounce stingy ramekins I get elsewhere. I would definitely go back and try one of their dinners. The restaurant was cozy and nicely laid out. They had a case of desserts that looked great too. Definitely try this place if you are fed up with crazy prices, if you are disgusted fighting for parking, paying for parking or tired of the games the in town ritzy shore places play. They've got some nice drinks in their refrigerator like Horchata, Jamaica, and some Strawberry Lemonade that I loved. The chips are good, very crunchy, and they serve 2 types of salsa... a red / orange that didn't appeal to my wife and I, and a green that we loved. We got some guacamole that was decent and authentic, but they left the cilantro in these pretty big leafy pieces... that's kind of weird. I didn't love the guacamole. My wife got a combo platter, I got the new Quesobirria (birria quesadillas x3), and our daughter, a pescatarian, got a bowl of rice and shrimp. I thought her shrimp were the best thing on the table. My birria was kind of spicy for me, and while I thought it was authentic, I didn't love it. I swapped with my wife who did like it, but I didn't really love the carnitas or anything on that plate. It's possible that I have a sweeter palette than most ppl... My Mexican wife (from the north of Mexico originally) agreed with me that the carnitas and the birria meat were kind of dry, and the sopa de birria had a really thick consistency (compared to typical birria broth). I found the thin-cut bistec to be very chewy, which is typical of that cut. She liked the flauta and enchilada. I thought the enchilada verde was meh. They have about 6 indoor tables and a few wooden tables outdoors. Again, the servers are *exceptional*... and yet, none of us felt that we would go back.
