So we called the local tire place and they said to come on over before noon (Saturday). So we popped in there around 10:15, and walked out about 30 minutes later. There's something really great about living in the country - quick service, and for $20. Really great guys working in here (father-son duo), and really great prices. They will even come to you if you need it (not sure on the price w/ that, just give them a call!) My dad has gotten a bunch of smaller tractor tires patched there as well, for $14 each. The price on the new tires seems about on par with other places (just a touch higher, but to be expected). Overall could not be happier with this place. Just what you want when you have a bum tire - someone to help you out quick without breaking the bank! (But you could always go to the Bridgewater Bank Tavern instead, which is right across the street.)

I was honestly expecting this to take longer, but I'm super impressed with how quickly and well they got it done! They made everything pretty easy to understand, too, even for someone who doesn't really work with cars at all. The guys working the counter were nice, too. a while back I brought in my f150 to fix 2 snapped bolts on my rear differential. they charged me 1…read morehour per bolt and demanded the diff plate be replaced. at the time I just needed my truck as it's part of my income, so I didn't think much of it. they broke another bolt in the process of removing the plate and then charged me for that one too. but that's not the problem I have. my old diff plate was totally undamaged. those bolts don't thread into the plate either, so one's the unbroken bolts were removed, the plate could be removed and then the old bolts drilled out or welded out. th one fix cost me nearly $900 and about $300 of it was for the new diff plate. they didn't put any protective coating on the new plate either so now it's rusting and the rtv seal was haphazardly placed and squeezed out around the entire differential. there's nothing professional about the work that was done and I can honestly say that I will never go back. honest mechanics are hard to come by. after my experiences, maybe it's time for me to open a shop. I'd be slow, but I wouldn't lie to my customers and my ability to apply rtv would easily be superior.

I was able to get a 25% discount through my insurance company on Goodyear tires and this shop was a qualified installer. When I showed up for an appointment, Jason, the manager, efficiently processed everything relating to the tires. I also asked about a brake fluid flush and fill, as well as coolant, both of which they were able to do then and there and at a price at least 30% below what the Toyota dealership had quoted. They also, upon my request, checked the brake linings as I thought that, at the ten year mark, I might need new pads but according to their mechanic, the car was still at a safe level so I can wait a while for that. I also don't drive all that much so that might also contribute to the condition of the brakes. I appreciate that they didn't try to upsell and scare me into thinking I needed to drop some 800$ on 4 brake liners. (Toyota have quoted an estimate of some $1200. No surprise there. But I think everyone knows that a dealership will be pricier than an independent shop. ) Bonus feature is that there is free tire rotation and brake check. In sum, I was sold on returning to Goodyear Auto Service and am happy to know of somewhere reliable for service that is not the Toyota service and dealership out on Auto Row on Jackson.

I told them that was not possible, as I had just been to Discount Tires (this Ann Arbor location) 6 months prior and had my receipt to prove it. Went back to Discount Tires to have them check, and they had not changed my tires. So in February, I had sat in their store for over 2 hours, paid over $1200, and NOT received any new tires. Then in August, when I went back and they put the correct tires on, I asked about some type of refund, since I had been driving on old tires for 6 months when I thought they were new, and if the oil change guy had not told me, I would not have known. They told me that that was not possible since it was over 30 days, even though it was over 30 days because I assumed I had new tires on. I could have popped a tire, been in an accident during winter, and they also just did not do their job. Terrible experience and will not be going back. Oh the story gets better. 24 hours later I left for a trip 1.5 hours away and my tire popped within 10 minutes of the drive. Horrible horrible experince, service, and quality. How does a brand new tire pop so fast. Probably because discount tire rushed the job that they were supposed to do months ago. I will never be recommending anyone to this location.
