A bolt broke and rather than just saying, 'sorry, come back next week,' Scott and Rocky, one of the owners, drove all over Michigan to get the parts on Saturday--when they're closed--and then asked their head mechanic to come in from vacation on Sunday morning to get it all fixed in time for a long trip. I felt awful that they did this, but they wanted to get this right and get us on the road. I HIGHLY doubt another shop would go so above and beyond. In fact, I share with them there's going above and beyond and then there's Ric and Rocky level; honest, fair, and they place service above self. Now the original review: A friend of mine recommended them, for which I am very grateful. We had gone to a big chain store to get a tire, but they screwed it up. They also misdiagnosed other issues. When I called to explain the situation and also that my wife needed the car to go on a long trip, they quickly moved to action and got everything sorted. They were very clear in what the issues were, communication, and pricing. They also stayed an hour and half late in order to finish the car so we could get on the road. One other thing that's noteworthy is that their store is very clean and welcoming with a great image of old Plymouth. It points to how they care for the customer and want to do the best. Oh one of the things is that the owner drove me home when I dropped off the car after I shared I planned to get Uber. I wish I knew about these guys years ago, but they are now going to be my go-to place.

Within half an hour the repair guy came out and told me it was a metal shield that was loose and squeaking continuously. They removed the unneeded part, and bingo, no more squeak!! What was incredible was that they didn't charge me anything to diagnose and fix the issue. I would highly recommend this business. They are competent, and very fair to their customers.

After having numerous mechanics work on my car and still not fix the problems correctly, I was beginning to lose hope. Then I took my car to Convenience Auto Repair and spoke with Matt and Pat. They listened to my concerns, found the issues, took pictures of the issues and sent them to me before the work was done and they fixed my car properly. I had repairs done in the past, including replacing the slave cylinder clutch hydraulic line and the parking brake cable, but the problems still weren't completely resolved until Convenience Auto Repair worked on my car. Now my car is running like it's brand new! It's such a relief to finally have a car that drives the way it should. Matt and Pat were professional, knowledgeable, and honest throughout the entire process. I made an appointment with Ron's Garage and they got my car in right away. They checked the brakes and did their complimentary 30 (or so) point inspection. 30 minutes later they brought me back to the garage to show me what they found. Turns out I wasn't even close to needing new brakes on my car. They could've easily lied and agreed with the other shop...and I would've bought some new brakes from them. But they didn't because they are honest people. They did find an issue with my transmission during their inspection. I had recently had a new transmission put in my car, so took it back to the dealership who confirmed the issue and are in the process of repairing it. So not only are they honest, but their mechanics are smart! Finally, they told me up front that they would charge me for 0.25 hours of work to take a look at the car. After they looked at my car, showed me what they found, and were told that I'd take my car to the dealership to get the transmission issue resolved, they waived the charge! I would highly recommend Ron's garage for their honestly, intelligence, and quick service!

I had to take my car back to them and they accused me of bringing my car in with a bad fuel gauge to begin with. After going back and forth with the rude guy at the counter and insisting that there was NO WAY I would ever drive around town without knowing how much gas is in my car, they finally looked at my car again and realized the part they put in my car was defective and they had to replace it again. That proved I didn't bring my car in with a bad fuel gauge. No apology or anything to me. Unfortunately, after the final repair and them explaining that the new part was an aftermarket part, my car now sounds like crap with constant hissing sounds and gas smells even months after the "repair." They are rude, have terrible customer service, and are overpriced. I will NEVER take another vehicle to this place ever again!!
