Okay I probably should've looked at the menu before coming to this place but I didn't. It was definitely more of a luxury dining experience than their tap room. First we started out by getting a bunch of appetizers. Well they are all very small and not meant to be shared so being a large party, we all only got a bite or two of each app. For my main, I got the Caesar salad which was not a Caesar salad. It was served with balsamic dressing and cheddar cheese. It was still a good salad but not what I was expecting. This place is insanely overpriced for the portions you get. I don't know if it was a dinner menu vs. lunch menu situation or what. But instead of a delightful sounding $15 hamburger, our options were $30 large plates. What we had was DELICIOUS and clearly made with care and skill. We have traveled to craft brew pubs from coast to coast. This place had a different vibe. Columbus. You got so cool after I left! Wolf's Ridge is a classic example of this phenomenon. I remember this neighborhood as being a derelict district with mostly shuttered storefronts, but now the neighborhood features lofts and a even microbrewery?!? Wolf Ridge was super cool--it's posh; the food is delicious, and the beer was outstanding. We ate in the restaurant section, and felt a tad underdressed, but I understand there's a more casual taproom, too. As we were on a pub crawl, we didn't have a full meal. Instead, we shared beers; a hummus platter (with pesto, an unexpectedly great combination); and a bread plate with "goddess" herbal butter, pimento cheese made with feta, and a house-made apricot jam. I ate here for restaurant week and had an incredible meal. The lack of the 5th star comes from nit picky things because for the price I expect close to perfection. Also, I wish there were a happy hour so I could try some food for a more reasonable price with the well priced beer! First off, it's crowded and very hard to get a seat without a reservation, so I just sat at the full service bar where I was attended to very well by the bar tender. I got a flight of Hefeweizen (which I didn't care for), Buchenrauch, which I liked, Driftwood which i really liked, Howling Moon which I loved, and I can't remember the other ones but I enjoyed them as well. ($8!) I started with smoked chorizo mussels which were very good, however there were a few beards left on them which always distresses me a bit. Then I had for a main course the salmon which was cooked to perfection. The crust on top was supurb. I would go back and get the salmon in a heart beat. I loved that they paired it with tobiko and sauerkraut and I actually don't like lentils so I can't comment on the bed of the which the salmon was atop. Then I had the chocolate stout cake which was great and the highlight may however have been the fresh whip cream. Then I was fortunate enough to get the pot de creme and it was AMAZING. We went for Brunch, and the food all tasted pretty good! A little pricey, but still good. From what I tried: The sugar doughnuts, were addicting! The strawberry preserves was a very nice balance to the sugar coating on the doughnuts. 10/10 Poutine,had garlic fries, chorizo, and loaded with a bunch of other stuff.. great hangover food. (But ask for a side of ranch, your welcome in advance) 9/10 Big Kahuna Burger, from what I read off the menu, seemed like it would be packed with a ton of flavor.. but I still feel like it needed a bit more of a kick. I feel like the sweet and spicy BBQ was just a little bland. 7.5/10 The inside was super cute, but the seating was a little uncomfortable. I went to plop down into what appeared to look like a booth, to realize it was a hard flat surface. 7/10 Overall the place for me was an 8/10, I would definitely like to try out their dinner menu next time I go though! read more

For the price, I was taken aback at the duck I had. It was basically raw and a big snooty thing: very small portion size. I enjoy very fine dining but not my thing. Came here on a rainy muggy Sunday for brunch. We first walked up to the host we were told that there was a 45 min wait for a table of 5 bc of reservations. Restaurant wasn't too full but it's Sunday, I get it. Open Table also showed that wait time. My party hadn't decided whether we wanted to wait so we walked away for 3 minutes to text the rest of our party. I then watched 4 people walk up to the host, overheard that they didn't have reservations and were seated right away with their choice of seating at two long tables, both with room for a party of 6. Interesting. 3 min later we walked back up to the host and were told that there was a 90 min wait bc of reservations. Really? Is it possible that in those 3 minutes, that many people made reservations to bump up the wait time? And, in those 3 minutes you seated 4 people without reservations at one long table and our party just had the bad luck that we couldn't be seated at the other table you just offered that had room? Nevertheless, we waited. Shockingly, 10 min later, the host approached us and said they suddenly had a bunch of cancellations and they could seat us. And, we were seated at a section of the long table that was empty and was offered to those who didn't have reservations minutes ago. Curiously, we were the only Asian party in the entire restaurant at the time. Regardless, we ordered and ate. Our server was very nice and pleasant. But, diner quality coffee. Food was maybe a notch up from that. The Frittata was very bland; overpowered by veggies and soggy. Smoked salmon was decent but the chives were not particularly fresh and smeared with cream cheese to mask their wiltedness. Toad in the hole was okay. Eggs Benedict was a very odd mashup that included cheese and mushrooms. Most of the entrees contained lots of crusty Texas toast sized bread that made the dishes seem much larger and filling. I really wanted to give this place a 5 stars, it went down to a 3 but the waitress came back with a final 4. Came to town for the Arnold and came to try this place out for some drinks. The restaurant was closed so we headed back to the taproom for some drinks. As I was hearing back there I noticed a s'mores dessert but I guess I missed the kitchen by about 5 minutes. Tyler was our bartender and he was absolutely great! He was friendly, attentive and helpful. Stephanie also helped near the end and she was great as well. He suggested that we come back the next day for brunch and dessert. So we did. Sunday morning, we were finishing up at the Arnold before our flight. We were only .2 miles away (3 minute Uber drive) from The brewery, so I decided to call and make sure this dessert was still being served. I asked about the wait, I was told a 40 minute wait for 2 people, that the bar looked full but I could go to the taproom for lunch but not brunch. I thought worse case I can just order it to go. I decided to go on open table app and was able to immediately make a reservation a for 7 minutes later. That definitely rubbed me the wrong way. We arrived within minutes and noticed 3 open tables and quite a few spots at the community table. We were then seated right as we walked in the door, with no greeting at our table. About 5 minutes goes by and a group of 4 is sat at the table next to us, who were immediately greeted and served water. The same waitress came by and gave us what water was left and said oh looks like you haven't been greeted yet; and we informed her that we had been here quite some time before that table. By then we were ready to order as we had to make our flight. I think the waitress could tell that we were pretty put off by the service and she comped our desert in an attempt to make things right. I really did appreciate that and thought that was nice of her. Our food was absolutely amazing. We ordered the Cuban Benedict, unlike anything I have ever tasted. It was so savory and satisfying. We also opted for the S'mores trifle which was heaven for your mouth. Every thing about this dessert was delicious. Every year that I am here for the Amerihort Cultivate trade show at the Convention Center, my Business Development Strategist, Sam Kirkland and I, make this a must stop dining experience. From the easy to enjoy cocktails, delicious appetizers, phenomenal main dishes, to the culinary delight of dessert, there's a taste for everyone to enjoy. Last night was no exception, and I was very pleased with everything I consumed. If you're looking for a great little spot to enjoy time with friends or colleagues, and would like to make your tastebuds, as well as stomach, do a happy dance, then look no further than Wolf's Ridge Brewery. While I'm not a beer drinker per se, I do enjoy the flights that they offer. I had a great experience here. Some friends were coming in to town and we had a large group--over 15 people--and made a reservation. Our table was ready on time, the drinks were good, the food was fantastic, and the service was wonderful! My water glass was promptly filled throughout the evening and our server was friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. I had the Clear Sky cream ale, which was good. For dinner, I had the shrimp and grits. It was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I found it a little salty, but not necessarily in a bad way. I would absolutely order it again. All in all, it was a great experience. I spent a little more money than I usually would, but for a special occasion such as this and to find a place that could accommodate such a large group of us, it was well worth it! read more

This was the worst part of the whole evening so I'll take it! The food was incredible and the menu is varied. Servings were quite larger and you won't leave hungry. I have been here twice now, once for the brewery in the back for a casual night and the other for a double date. The back is casual and hip, like most breweries. They have more beer on tap in the back and limited in the front restaurant. I enjoyed the beer, the game selection was great and the picnic seating was great. The only thing I wasn't as impressed with was the menu, the food is probably good, but not my style. When Im drinking, Im looking for snacking food and not so much a plate. When we ate at the restaurant for the double date, the menu is small and unique. The prices were high and the portions were small. I loved the fish and chips but didn't love the price for such a typical dish. If you're looking to eat something unusual and out of the norm go here, it will cost you though. TIP: if you want a beer that's not on their menu, you can walk to the back brewery and order there and bring back to the table. read more

Favorite beer in the city. I always go for Daybreak or Cinnamon Toast Brunch creme ales. For those who are into stouts, I hear those are good as well. Go-to appetizers: hummus and pita bread...or the fries. The burger is also very good. My wife and I have come in twice now and really enjoy the atmosphere, food, and beer. The beers vary in style but their cream ales are their speciality. The food is all very good we really enjoyed their fries with garlic. We decided to have NYE dinner here. Their prix fix dinner was really great. Wolf's Ridge is more upscale than your basic brewery. Dinner selections were a nice surprise, as I was expecting typical bar fare. The duck breast and lamb shank did not disappoint. Our server was pleasant and accommodating as well. On the down side, the hostess was obviously unhappy when I asked if we could be seated at a table that wasn't so close to another. The overall atmosphere is austere with a communal table located in the middle of the dining room. I can't speak for the beer selections, but the wine selection was limited. read more

This was my first time here, I went with a group of my very best friends for brunch. I was informed this brewery has wonderful beer and the food is just as good. Also I guess this is one of the hottest places in town to eat dinner at but I guess they are booked weeks out in advance. Anyways, the inside has a very warm and upscale feel with a little modern twist. Our server was very helpful and friendly. We started with one order of donuts but quickly ordered a second because they were phenomenal! It was a tough decision if I wanted breakfast or lunch because everything sounded so good and looking around at what others order it made the decision harder. I finally went with the Fried Chicken Sandwich with garlic fries and I did not regret my decision!! My friends ordered eggs benedict, hamburger with garlic fries, and chilaquiles. The chilaquiles would be my pick next time, breakfast nachos yes please! The beer selection is great and very good; I noticed their beer is very crisp and clean. Went here yesterday for lunch and was not disappointed. I had a blood orange cider and one of the best Cuban sandwiches I've ever tasted! Their Cuban is non-traditional in that it has a juicy sausage patty, but the rest is everything you'd expect - swiss, pickles, mustard on a tasty flat roll. But what is so unexpected is how incredibly delicious it is. I cut it in half thinking I'd save the rest for later, but couldn't stop myself from devouring the entire thing! I'd opted for the squash soup for a side and it was also super good and hit the spot on a chilly day. It was fairly empty save for a couple small parties of businessmen enjoying their lunches. I sat at the bar and was well attended to by the bartender. He even made me a latte to go, which helped for my transition back into the cold. Highly recommend. Will be back to try brunch! read more

Unless you ate there recently. I'm just saying that this place has always enhanced my day / night. Like a good finger smell. Whether I've ordered carry-out, came with a big group, or I convinced a lady with even lower self-esteem than me to go on date here, it's always on point. It's rare to find a combination of fine food, reasonable prices, friendly and unpretentious staff, and a lively atmosphere. We were looking for reservations on a Friday Blue Jackets game night, somewhere close to the arena that we could have a nice meal and be out in time for make the faceoff. We finally decided on Wolf's Ridge Brewing and couldn't be happier. We parked in the lot across 4th street from the location (very reasonable $3 for the evening) and noticed there were also several meters available which would be great if you were just eating and then heading out. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and helped me select 3 beers to try (Gold Standard, Sustinator, and Buchenrauch), each of those selections was perfect. We ordered a Bread & Butter small plate to start. When it came out, it wasn't at all what I expected (I guess I had imagined more of a small full of tiny breads and a tomato spread), but what our palates were greeted with was completely delightful The Bread and Butter was a hearty slice of sourdough with a thick slather of truffle butter, topped with the best tomato salad I have ever tasted. We had to cut it up into bites to eat with a fork because of how very rich and dense it was. For dinner, I ordered the Pork Porterhouse coated with a mustard demi glas which came with horseradish mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. The pork was incredibly moist and had a perfect sear. The mashed potatoes were delicious with enough horseradish to flavor them without becoming over powering. My husband ordered the Salmon which came with lemongrass beurre blanc, orange mint gremolata, baby bok choy, and orange-ginger gel. He was astounded when his plate arrived as it was an eye pleasing arrangement to say the least. The salmon broke apart at the slightest touch and the lemongrass beurre blanc gave a light citrus hint to each bite. The dollops of orange ginger gel brighten up the plate while giving a pop ot each taste of food that you dipped into them. We decided that dinner was so good that we couldn't miss dessert even though it meant we would be late to the start of the game. This is a decision that we don't regret in the slightest. We ordered the Peanut Butter and Banana. The plate arrived with chocolate mousse, crushed peanuts, peanut butter ice cream, brûléed bananas, banana tuile, chocolate syrup, and peanut butter. For as awesome as everything else was we still weren't prepared for just how wonderful dessert was. We will definitely be going back to Wolf's Ridge Brewing in the future. read more

Otherwise they will lead you back to the taproom, which had great food options as well and lots of great beers to choose from. We went looking for a place that had good food and unpretentious. Asked the bartender at our downtown hotel and was put into this diamond. This was a Friday night and had no problem getting a table. The waitress guided us through beer selections and was very nice. We paired it with the cheese plate that was surprising to say the least. Brie with raspberry so and a dollop of white balsamic ConAgra ice cream. Yes, I said that right. Main courses were the scallops, lamb rack, red ruby trout and halibut. All plated beautifully and portions were good. The attention to service was excellent for real dinning since we spent almost two hours enjoying ourselves. Never rushed and never wanted for anything. This was my first time trying Wolf's Ridge and I was pretty excited given all of the positive reviews! I don't eat out much, but decided to splurge. I ordered the lamb chop with potatoes and Brussels sprouts, and was really disappointed-everything was super bland. The potatoes and sprouts had so little seasoning that I wondered if someone might have missed a step. The lamb chop wasn't as bad and I finished the whole thing, but it was underwhelming. Every time I've been to Wolf's Ridge I've had an absolutely fantastic time. From the food to the beer to the cocktails to the service, everything is always amazing. It's also awesome to see how much they care for their community, whether it be from their support of the BLM movement to LGBTQ+ rights or even caring about their employees enough to shutdown again so they're not at risk of catching Covid, Wolf's Ridge always sets the standard for restaurants and breweries. I don't understand why anyone would create a faceless account to bash a restaurant because you don't like a GM's political views, especially when this place has such a great track record of getting it right. I always recommend going here to anyone I know who is from the area or from out of town and I can't wait to see even more great things from the once they reopen. read more
