From the moment we arrived, we sat ourselves at the bar and were warmly welcomed by Cody, who took the time to thoughtfully explain not only the menu but everything the brewery had to offer. You could tell right away that they genuinely care about the experience here. The atmosphere was fun and inviting with free cornhole, free darts, and even dollar pool tables--such a great touch. Bridget jumped in behind the bar as well and was full of personality, great conversation, and positive energy that made the night even better. When the shift changed, we were taken care of seamlessly by another incredible crew: Rebecca, Kirsten, and Kira. Every single person was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We're visiting from out of town from Los Angeles and had no idea where to go, but we're so glad we chose this place. Even the regular patrons were welcoming and added to the overall great vibe. Unfortunately, our waitress, Carol (older lady with blond curly hair) , was very rude and made us feel uncomfortable. When I asked my friends if they wanted another shot, Carol interrupted and asked, "Who's driving?" We ubered. We had also eaten and were not acting drunk, loud, or causing any problems. It wasn't the question that bothered us--it was the way she asked it and how she spoke to us afterward. Her tone was condescending and made us feel like she thought we were irresponsible and didn't know our own limits. We are all well over 21 and were simply enjoying food and drinks. After snarkily saying, "Let's think about that first.." she walked away and never came back to our table. Angie ended up helping us and checking us out and telling us our waitresses name. Angie was kind, professional, and even apologized for our experience even though none of it was her fault. The rude service from Carol completely ruined what was otherwise a nice night out. We have NEVER been treated this way before at other places. Because of how we were treated, I will not be returning.

This brewery features Lager Beers crafted using traditional Bavarian/European methods...thus I had to try one...two...maybe more. Luckily there was a ton of delicious looking food on the menu from the expected pizzas and wings to the old world treats like beef stroganoff, goulash and schnitzal. Everything is made from scratch and I couldn't help looking at all the neighboring tables to get an idea of what to try. Our waitress Ashley was really helpful and checked if the pesto was made with nuts as we have peanut and tree nut allergies in our family. Luckily there were no pine nuts or other substitutes and we could safely have it! We ended up getting quite a feast of plates and then topped it off with two desserts- the bread pudding and the German chocolate cake (couldn't come to a family agreement so had to get both!). So, it's a good spot if you're looking for something that everyone will enjoy. Their pizzas are popular and very reasonably priced. Porcupine is also a great location for post mountain activities and right along multiple trail routes. I frequently find myself here after an intense outdoor activity, looking for air conditioning and good food. The nice thing about them operating as a restaurant is that it's kid friendly! Hospitality should never depend on how much you're spending or what you order.
